Brendan stopped when he realized that the next document wasn't marked urgent, and realized with concern that he had not heard a word out of Adrian in hours.

It only took a glance at the ship's overview of connected suit status to assure him that Adrian was still alive and well, but he wondered if communications were blocked in some way until his friend replied to his call.
