Brendan stifled his instinctive reaction, and then grimaced at the part of himself that second guessed the wisdom of restraining himself. This kind of reaction was probably what had kept most of the entrants with functional LM gene pairs out of the Norse Belt.
Arturius smiled knowingly, and Brendan replied neutrally, "It is quite suspicious that the identity of race entrant Cinderella is currently attached to two entirely different people. The imposter will likely be nearly as thoroughly investigated as the new princess. Thankfully, I've already contracted with the actual winner."
"You seem pretty certain of that," Arturius said dryly.
