"The City Lord's Mansion? It was the largest construct here in the city, so how could you get lost?" Huyan Lanruo said. 'Hehe, how could you get lost while searching for The City Lord's Mansion? "You're definitely not a family head and based on your attire, you aren't a servant either. So why..?"

Hazuki stared at her and thought to himself. 'I shouldn't have approached this narcissistic young lady..'

"I'm visiting the Mansion for personal matters, so please don't ask about it too much.." he said with a troubled tone.

"Oh, is that so? Then I won't ask about it.."

"By the way, which noble family are you from, little brother?" Huyan Lanruo asked. She has been observing him until now and she couldn't sense anything from him that belongs to a commoner.

"I'm only an insignificant commoner, please don't mind me, young miss." Hazuki wants to arrive in the City Lord's Mansion very quickly in order to be freed from this lady.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally saw the largest construct in the city.

The surrounding infrastructures were quite low, making to whole Mansion stand out. There were many trees around and a large space for different facilities

The guards in front looked imposing and solemn. They stood tall by the gate with their spears beside them.

"That's the City Lord's Mansion, little brother. Let's go try to get in." Huyan Lanruo said. Since she was already here, she might as well visit Nie Li, whom she hadn't seen since a few days ago.

Both of them walked towards the mansion and came to the front gate.

The guards who were guarding the gate crossed their spears in front of the gate and asked. "What is your purpose?"

Huyan Lanruo politely said. "I'm Huyan Lanruo from the Huyan family. I'm looking for my friend, Nie Li, who was under the City Lord's protection. Can I go and see him?"

The guards then let her enter after they saw her family token, but Hazuki was stopped by them.

"See you later, little brother." she said after seeing Hazuki was stopped by the guards.

"You, what is your purpose inside the city lords mansion?" guard(1) asked.

"I want to meet lord Ye Xiu. I have an important business to offer him." Hazuki said as he looked at the guard with a solemn stare.

"Hazuki Hayate."

The guards whispered to each other. "Wait here for a while. We will inform lord Ye Xiu of your presence." the guard(1) said.

The other guard(2) ran inside to go inform Ye Xiu of Hazuki's appearance.

Hazuki waited at the gate for a few minutes until the guard came back. The guard(2) said. "Lord Ye Xiu and The City Lord wants to meet you. Come with me."

'Why do both of them want to see me? Well, it's better this way, I can arrange my stay in the mansion easier this way.' Hazuki thought.

They walked past many courtyards and many facilities inside the mansion. Hazuki can also feel 3 females and 1 male presence nearby. It should be Nie Li, Ye Ziyun, Huyan Lanruo, and Nie Yu.

After a few minutes of walking, both of them arrived in front of a large building with stone steps.

Suddenly, many guards came and formed a line parallel to the path towards the Mansion.

Hazuki and the other guard(2) walked towards the Mansion. After Hazuki stepped on the first stone step, the soldiers lined up behind him and followed. Like escorting a criminal in ancient times.

The guard(2) walked inside and led Hazuki in a meeting room with a long table.

A purple-haired man sat at the opposite side, his hands below his chin. An elderly man was sitting beside him and both of them looked at Hazuki seriously.

"Who are you and what is your purpose?" Ye Zong asked. Both of them were alert as they faced the young man in front of them. That's because earlier, while they were planning about how to capture the sacred family, they felt a disturbance in the atmosphere as if a strong demon-spirit suddenly appeared near them.

Hazuki can feel the strong fighting spirit coming off from Ye Zong and Ye Xiu, he can also feel multiple presences around him ready to attack.

"I am Hazuki Hayate and you don't need to be so wary of me, City lord Ye Zong."

"Don't play games with me, what is your purpose?!" Ye Zong shouted the atmosphere is getting heavier as time passed. Ye Zong was prepared to kill this young man in front of him. He must eliminate anyone who could possibly threaten Glory City's safety.

The soldiers around aimed their weapons a little closer, to reach Hazuki quickly if the City Lord ordered.

"Dark guild? Who're they? A bunch of kids trying to play the bad guys?" Hazuki, who's being suspected couldn't take their suspicion anymore and began to retort.

Ye Zong was stunned, then he said with a calmer voice. "If you are not from the Dark guild, what is your real purpose by trying to stay here in the Mansion?"

"I'm really not from the Dark Guild and the reason I want to stay here is because of Nie Li." Hazuki said. He wants to meet Nie Li in order to receive 'guidance' from him.

Well, not really guidance but his supreme cultivation techniques.

"Why do you want to meet that brat?" Ye Zong was finally curious about Hazuki's objectives. 'Could he be that brat's friend? Impossible, he should have stated it outright if he wanted to visit Nie Li.'

If he's an assassin sent to kill Nie Li, then he wouldn't have come here so directly to ask for permission to stay inside the city lord's mansion.

'This kid doesn't even look fazed even after being aimed at by so many weapons..'

Hazuki was escorted by the mansion guards as he followed Ye Zong towards the courtyard.

They arrived in a place where there were many pillars erected in a specific manner. Ye Zong stood in the center of the pillars as he mentioned him to come over.

"As long as you can last five minutes against me, then I will grant your request. Do you agree?" Ye Zong asked Hazuki.

"Of course, can I even refuse?" Hazuki replied. 'Ye Zong is so cunning, if it was any other person, they wouldn't even be able to last for 10 seconds inside this killing array. Well, this is useless against me.'

Ye Xiu suddenly said. "City Lord, are you sure about this?" he can feel that Ye Zong might kill Hazuki if this continued.

"Don't worry, Ye Xiu. I am only going to teach him a lesson that not everyone can stay in my Mansion!" Ye Zong stared at Hazuki with a grin. 'I can finally vent some of my irritation caused by that brat!'

Then Ye Zong charged towards Hazuki quickly, he's not going easy against someone who might be a threat to Glory City.

While he was running, Ye Zong, made a grabbing motion towards Hazuki. He was thinking of controlling Hazuki's body to attract him to himself then pummel the hell out of him.

Hazuki was controlled and started levitating towards Ye Zong's direction quickly. But he didn't resist and allowed Ye Zong to control his body. Coupled with Ye Zong's charge, Hazuki immediately arrived in front of Ye Zong.

Ye Zong punched towards Hazuki's stomach with his right fist.

*Hit* Hazuki caught Ye Zong's fist with his left hand and chopped towards his head with his right hand.

*Boom!* Ye Zong's head struck the ground due to the sheer force behind Hazuki's hand chop.

Hazuki was released from Ye Zong's control the moment his head struck the ground. Cracks appeared on the ground and Ye Zong's head was embedded in the ground.

Ye Xiu and the mansion guards immediately came towards Ye Zong and checked his condition. The guards unsheathed their weapons once again and aimed it at Hazuki.

Ye Xiu held Ye Zong up and saw he only had light scratches on his face and a slight bump on his head where Hazuki struck.

"Does this count as lasting five minutes against you, City Lord Ye Zong?" Hazuki said as if rubbing salt on Ye Zong's wounds.

As expected, as soon as Ye Zong heard this sentence, he immediately flared up. He stared at Hazuki with an angry face and said. "Now you've done it, you b*stard..!"

Ye Zong's body suddenly enlarged, he was enveloped by dragon scales and a dragon tail appeared behind him. He had a helmet on and his whole body was emitting a fiery aura. This was his demon-spirit, A black scaled earth dragon.

Ye Zong once again charged towards Hazuki, but this time, he didn't try to control Hazuki's body and he was rushing at him faster.

In an instant, he arrived in front of Hazuki and punched his face.

Hazuki didn't dodge and countered with his own punch.

*Boom!* Ye Zong felt extreme power rushing through his arms threatening to break it thoroughly. The black scales on his right arm also cracked and fell off one by one.

Ye Zong distanced himself from Hazuki and stared at him seriously. 'Who the hell is this kid?! How powerful! The moment our fists met, my punch was completely overpowered!'

He stared at Hazuki's eyes and saw amusement within it. He was irritated, 'Did he just look at me with amusement..? This kid is underestimating me... You might be stronger than me physically, but we are currently inside the ten thousand demonic beast array!'

Then he punched upwards, blasting everything above him. The demon spirits bumped into each other and were blown away for quite some distance.

Everyone was stunned. 'Is this even humanely possible?!' Ye Zong thought. The power to blast black-gold demon spirits with the wind pressure alone is something almost impossible.

Ye Zong immediately turned off the array. He looked at Hazuki seriously and said. "Are you sure you only want a residence and we can use your strength a single time?"

They were talking to each other when they suddenly felt someone pass-by their courtyard.

They all looked and saw Hazuki coming towards them.

Nie Li looked at Hazuki in alarm while the others are looking at him with a confused look. 'Who's this?'

Nie Li already found out what happened earlier in Ye Zong's courtyard. He rushed there the moment he felt the ground tremble and Ye Zong's roar.

After he arrived there, he witnessed Hazuki blasting the demon spirits with the mere wind pressure from his punch. 'This man is dangerous, that level of strength is almost on par with the peak of legend rank. Also, I don't remember him in any of my memories... What could be his purpose here..?'

'Could he be here for Ziyun? I'll teach him a lesson no matter how powerful he might be if he's after Ziyun...'

Hazuki approached them and said. "Hello, who among you is Nie Li?" he said with the most amicable look he can.

"The City Lord is busy, and he referred me to this place. He said that you are the best among your generation, so I came here to make acquaintances" Hazuki replied.

"So, can you teach me?" he added.

Ye Ziyun then whispered to Nie Li. "If he's sent here by my father, then you should probably teach him..."

"Okay, okay. But I'll only teach you the basics on how to cultivate, okay?" Nie Li agreed reluctantly. Since Ye Ziyun said it, he will do it. 'Father-in-law, why would you send someone like him here...'

"A purple soul realm... with the Hellflame attribute and King of Hell soul form..." Nie Li then stared at Hazuki from head to toe.

'What unfairness! With one of the most powerful soul form and the highest class of soul realm, this bastard might be the luckiest person alive! And here I am! I have a scattered soul form with no attribute!' Nie Li thought with indignation painted across his face.

"Hell flame.. King of Hell.. That soul attribute and form looks awesome!" Lu Piao shouted.
