Mosquito

"He's made of God damn flies!" Sasorie picks himself up from the floor, wiping the blood off his mouth.

"Aw, what's wrong?" The man mocks. "Too weak to fight against the great Denji?!" He spoke to himself in the third person.

"No," Sasorie opens his fingertips, webbing appearing between his fingers. "I hate insects!" Sasorie jumps towards Denji.

Denji moves swiftly to the right as Sasorie throws a left jab, electricity flying from his fingertips. The mosquitos move in packs and swarm, gathering around Sasorie as he fights off the swarm. "Hah!" Denji kicks Sasorie in the back as the mosquitos begin to feast on his body.

The mosquitos land on his body and plunge their mouths into his skin, ripping through the flesh as they suck the blood clean from his body. Sasorie screams in vain as his arm slowly shrinks in size, his muscles and strength being sapped away from him simultaneously.

"Sasorie!" Arima and Joorie arrive at the back of the cartridge. Sasorie cries out even more as his entire body is swarmed by a veil of darkness. "Tch!" Joorie gripped her baseball bat and without even thinking, lunged towards Denji as she swung her baseball bat at the man's head.

Denji's head morphs into a baseball bat as his body turns into a mosquitoes. The baseball bat goes cleanly through him, completely missing him. "I don't only control mosquitos," He raises his hand and catches Joorie's face mid-air. "I am mosquitos." A swarm of mosquitos explode from his sleeve and covers Joorie's face.

"Electric Surge!" Sasorie's body explodes with a large bolt of lightning that shoots across the entire carriage, causing all of the lights to explode and shower down a hail of glass.

The glass punctures flying mosquitoes in the air, slicing them cleanly. Denji gets paraded by a hail of glass, slicing open his tangible human skin. He loosens his grip on Joorie as she flees from his grasp, jumping onto a table and catching her breath.

Sasorie and Joorie both look at one another, nodding in agreement as both of them take a deep sigh inwards. Joorie raised her hand to her mouth and bit down fiercely, an explosion of blood splattering across her face and covering her entire pink jacket in a deep red.

Sasorie cracks his neck as a zap of electricity explodes from his hands. His entire body gets covered in a veil of electricity, forming a shell of pure lightning.

"Arima, run!" Joorie shouts at Arima, commanding him to run away from the carriage.

Arima does so promptly, leaving immediately without a second look. "They're way out of my league!" He thinks to himself internally. "I can't possibly fight alongside them! All I can do is shoot a gun or wield an axe!" His heartbeat starts to quicken, bumping out of his chest.

Denji catches his breath on the floor of the carriage, his hands on the ground as he's on one knee. "The famed aquatic twins." He smiles through his gas mask. "What a pleasant sight!" He opens his arms widely to welcome both of them.

Sasorie's entire body had completely morphed, his skin had turned slick and shiny, his jaw unhinged and revealed a set of small razor-sharp teeth, a massive fin running from the top of his head to his back. His arms had massive claws that resembled a three-pin plug. His eyes were blue slits that exuded an electric field, occasionally creating a spark of blue electricity. The Electric Eel Hybrid.

Joorie's entire body had changed too, her skin was rougher and had the texture of sandstone. Her eyes turned a lifeless pale white with whiskers-like appendages extending from below her nose. On her head was a piece of cloth with a red cross typically adorned by nurses. A crystal pink mask covered her mouth like the razor-sharp jaws of a fierce shark. Her clothes had torn off and in place were giant pink crystals that covered her chest and waist, revealing her waist. Around her waist were massive syringes on her belt as well as a stethoscope around her neck. The Nurse Shark Hybrid.

Both of them stood next to each other, creating a formidable wall that blocked Denji from the exit.

"Tsk." Denji sighed as he clasped both of his hands, summoning a swarm of mosquitoes into his hands as both of them jumped into action.

Sasorie's linear figure made it easy for him to slide through the air as Joorie followed closely behind. "Detox!" She withdraws four syringes from her belt, each filled with a mysterious liquid as she shoots them into Sasorie's back, the liquid injecting itself deep into his bloodstream.

Before Denji could even react, he received a face full of electricity that caused him to be knocked backwards, causing a wave of mosquitoes to scatter across the room.

Joorie appears behind Denji, falling at the same rate as him as she implants a syringe into his neck. "Dose!" Denji received another surge of electricity straight to his chest as Sasorie followed up with another, and then another, and then another. Sasorie had covered his hands in a shell of electricity, ploughing through the barricade of mosquitoes that acted as a shield.

With each punch, the electricity spread between each mosquito, creating a chain effect. "Chain Barrage!" Sasorie brings upon a barrage of punches that causes Denji to spew blood out of his gas mask.

Joorie takes her bat and swings at Denji from behind, causing his neck to twist abnormally as he's pinned between the two of them. "Agh!" He splatters even more blood out of his mask as he cries out in pain, his mosquitoes are dropping like flies.

"Disperse!" His body evaporated into a fleet of mosquitoes that evaded both of their movements immediately, reforming into a humanoid figure on the other side of the carriage.

Denji reappears as a massive hole appears in his chest, a result of the beating he had received. "Tsk." Denji's eyes start to go fainter and his whole world starts spinning. "I'm running out of blood." His whole body turns into a rush of mosquitoes that flee into the ventilation systems and away from the both of them.

Joorie and Sasorie looked at each other, Joorie crouched over a table and Sasorie catching his breath. They nod in unison as Sasorie disappears in a bright flash of lightning and Joorie dashes onto the ground, running on all fours.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Arima runs into an empty carriage and hides underneath a table, cowering in fear as his fingers and toes tremble. In hand was an axe that wasn't even sharp enough to cut through a tomato.

Suddenly, he hears the sound of the automatic sliding cartridge door open. The lights flicker on and off as a pair of boots walk across the floor, dripping blood.

"Oi, Denji!" The woman from before called out, her hand on her head as she clasped the gaping wound on her forehead. "Do we need to continue this one?"

"Arius, It's essential that we get the boy alive." A swarm of mosquitoes form a mouth that speaks to the woman, her name being Arius.

"Just don't die." Arius sighs as she takes the key out from her waist. The mosquitoes disperses and hijack the ventilation system.

Arius stands there, idle for a moment as she sniffs. She sniffs the air in succession as a wave of realisation falls over her.

"There!" She raises her foot into the air and launches it straight onto the table that Arima is hiding underneath. The table splinters into shards of plastic that get sent flying, clanking against the glass windows. Yet, underneath all the pieces of broken plastic was no one.

"Hya!" Arima appears behind Arius with a hammer, aiming straight for her neck.

From below her appeared Inoue who caught the blade between his sharp razor teeth. "Inoue!" She shot backwards by jumping out of Denji's range, using her feet to propel her backwards. Inoue turns into a lime green mist that flies back towards Arius, coating her hands and forming two paws with razor-sharp blades as claws.

"She's got even more moves!" Arima bites his lip nervously as he clutches his axe with an even tighter grip. "I can't get hit, not even once! Her Primordial Selection will instantly incapacitate me and I'll be out for sure." He analyses the situation, scanning up and down for potential angles to attack from. That's when he gets an idea.

Before he gets the time to come up with a full and concise plan, there's a giant 200 lbs 6-foot tall woman lunging at him with six paw-blades. Arima pulls a hail-mary and throws the axe towards Arius as he ducks underneath.

Arius slices the air as Arima narrowly avoids the attack, grazing her left cheek with the axe, ultimately flying past her and landing on a doorframe.

Arima slides underneath Arius and now they're on polar opposite sides of the cartridge. Arima's breathing stabilises as he pulls the axe out of the wall. "You're probably the strongest enemy I've ever gotten the chance to go against."

"Don't think you can swoon me over mid-fight, boy." Arius advances towards Arima, dragging her claws against the walls of the carriage, and scraping off the luxurious wallpaper.

"I'm not trying to swoon you." Arima smiles, doing something unexpected. "I've been buying time." He drops his axe and makes an absolute run towards the open window, jumping out head first.
