"So how've you been? It's been like what? Almost 10 years, right?" Asked Changkyun.
Hana smiled. "Yeah, it's been forever. I've been pretty decent. I'm recently divorced and I have a daughter. It's been a pretty long year."
Changkyun's smile slowly disappeared. "Oh, wow. That's-"
"Yeah, what about you? How are you?" She asked.
"Well I'm single. To be completely honest I haven't really been with anyone since we broke up," he said rubbing the back of his neck looking quite flustered.
She let out a light chuckle. "You really haven't changed at all."
"Yeah, so what do you do now?" He asked trying his hardest to change the subject.
"I'm a lawyer, I work for one of those private firms," She replied nodding her head.
"Really? I never thought of you for becoming a lawyer. I always remember you saying you wanted to open your own business. What was it again?" He said.
She laughed. "It didn't work out the way I thought it would. Besides my parents were over the moon when I decided to go to law school."
"I'm sure they were," he replied.
"What about you? Are you still making music?" She asked.
He nodded his head. "Yeah. I actually signed a new contract as a solo artist after we disbanded."
"That's great. I'm so happy for you," she smiled happily.
It went silent for a few minutes.
"Look, Hana, the thing is-" Changkyun started and then paused for a second. "I was so surprised when we ran into each other the other night. I couldn't stop thinking about you. I really missed you. I don't ever want to go through what happened between us again. But I want to try again…with you. I want to be able to wake up with you next to me again. I want to see that adorable smile of yours everyday again. So what do you say? Hana Kim will you go out with me?"
Hana smiled and couldn't help but start blushing. "Yeah. I will."
Changkyun gave a satisfied smile. "Great." He leaned in and gave her a kiss on the lips.
As they got up she had a question shoot in her head.
"Hey kyun?" She started.
He turned his head and smiled. "Yeah?"
"How's Kihyun?" She asked.
Changkyun went silent and his smile kinda disappeared.
"He's… He's good," he said.
"Are you guys still friends? Please tell me you are," she asked.
He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. "Yeah, of course we are. We actually work together."
Hana smiled, relieved. "That's good. I'm glad."
"Would like to see him?" Asked Changkyun.
She shrugged. "Only if you and he are comfortable with it."
Changkyun nodded. "Yeah. I'm comfortable with it."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yes. He and I——" there was a long pause. "We got over it. He told me what happened and ok how it happened, between you two I mean, and I understood. I wish you could've talked to me about it but I soon came to understand. And despite what you had done I still loved you. So much." Changkyun replied.
"I- There's nothing in this world that I could do to show you and tell you how sorry I was for what I had done to you. I eventually got to feel the pain you went through when I did what I did to you. And I felt it. It hurt so damn much." She said trying to hold her tears in.
They finished their drinks and got up and decided to go for nice long walk. They continued to catch up and at one point they found themselves holding each other's hand. They stopped in their tracks and faced one another. Hana couldn't help but start blushing as Changkyun looked deep into her eyes and intertwined their fingers. He smiled as he leaned in closing his eyes and placed a warm kiss onto her lips.
"I love you," he said as he pulled away.
"I love you too," replied Hana.
They got back to Changkyun's car and he dropped Hana off back at the dorm.
"You know, I don't think you should stay there anymore," he said as he gestured to the building they had just pulled up to.
"I don't have anywhere else to go right now. I'll go apartment hunting as soon as possible, I promise," She said as she started to get out of the car.
He grabbed her hand stopping her in her spot. "No. Move in with me," he said. His tone was serious and his stare was blank. She could feel her heart start to race.
"But we just got back together. Don't you think that'd be moving too fast?" She asked.
He shook his head. "No. I just got you back. There's no way I'm going to lose you again. Pack your things and come back with me."
"Today? Right now?" She asked confused.
"Yeah. I'll come up and help you," he said as he got out of the car.
"O-Okay. Let's go then," she replied as they went into the building.
When they made their way to the dorm and went in it was silent and there was no one around.
"Oh, I guess they all had to go to the studio today," Hana sighed in relief.
"They?" Asked Changkyun. "How many people were you staying with?"
"Like, eight guys," she shrugged nonchalantly.
Changkyun's eyes widened. "Eight?! Seriously?!"
"Don't worry, nothing happened between me and any of them," she quickly said. "I also happen to be significantly older than most of them."
She led him to her room and they started to pack her things. It only took a few hours and thankfully non of the guys ended up coming back when they were still there. After they placed the last couple of boxes into Changkyun's car Hana wrote a letter to the guys explaining what had happened and thanking them for everything.
It was time for a new start in her life. And this may have been the answer she had been searching for all this time.
