Once again, Riku was in his element as he led Lexa through the narrow streets of town. Already, he could hear the priest's influence spreading like wildfire, the town's residents almost immediately falling under his spell as if it was nothing more than the truth. Whatever the man's power was, it was dangerous if it could affect this many people, especially since it almost affected him if it weren't for his quick thinking.
"I can't believe this is happening..." Lexa muttered behind him as they squeezed through another alleyway. "Surely, I can talk to them. They'll see reason-"
"Lexa, stop thinking about what ifs," he chatised her through a harsh whisper. "Those aren't your people anymore. They're that priest's thralls now."
