Fortress after fortress fell to the Britannian army. Eventually Legnica, Sasha's previous territory, and now Fine's territory, fell too.
Zhcted's flags were replaced with Britannian flags. As soon as the Britannian army showed up in front of a fortresses, there were two options that they could choose, either surrender or be annihilated.
None could stop the Britannian army and the faith on the new King was decreasing more and more. The population was willing to surrender to Britannia if it meant a peaceful life.
The prestige of the new government was decreasing each time a fortress or city fell. In the end, without any other choice, Valentina pulled men from all the corners of the Kingdom of Zhcted.
Fine was announced as the commander of this new force made up of mostly conscripts, the new Vanadis was a veteran mercenary and she was willing to do anything to accomplish her dream.
Leitmeritz was called into this war and Limalisha accepted the call, wanting to avenge her former friend and overlord, Eleonora, who was actually not dead, but she believe she was.
The two forces met at the plains outside of Silesia. Both numbered around 100,000; so there was no clear advantage on both sides... or so it seemed.
Britannia's forces are manly composed of veterans while Zhcted's forces are made up of farmers that were conscripted without almost no training in battle.
Leading the Britannians is their Emperor, the man who never lost a battle, Oemitsu vi Britannia, so needless to say, their moral is on an all time high.
Fine knew that her army was not as strong as the Britannian one, however, she had a plan. She placed the veterans in the front rows and dug trenches. She built up multiple fortification around her army and she used any parts of the terrain to her advantage.
Oemitsu saw this as soon as his army arrived, so he choose a different approach from any normal battle that he had participated.
On the first day of the battle, there was no fighting. Both armies just stared at each other. As soon as the night fell, the Zhcted soldiers were getting ready to camp for the night.
However, their guards spotted a single soldier in front entry of the camp, mounted on a horse.
"Who goes there?! Lay down your weapons or we will kill you!"
Their threats did nothing to the man, the soldier stood there looking at them. The archers behind the fortifications raised their bows and released down a rain of arrows, however, the lone soldier charged head on with his horse.
The arrows did little to nothing to him, like a battering ram, his horse smashed through the fortifications.
"ENEMY ATTACK!!!"
The soldiers screamed as the invader smashed through anything they placed on his way. Like a God of War, his spear killed anything that it reached.
Watching their allies getting split into two, most of the conscripts in that area ran away in fear and despair. Without any prior experience it is hard to see such carnage and not panic.
News soon reached the main camp and Fine immediately asked.
"What is going on?"
Her General answered her with a troubled look.
"An enemy attack!"
She turned to him with a rather carefree face.
"How many?"
Unsure on how to tell her the news the General froze.
"How many?"
She insisted on her question, making the General gather his courage before gulping.
"One... one man is wrecking havok in our lines. He hasn't gotten very far, but he is scaring all of our recruits..."
Fine's gut immediately told her that something was wrong, making her face turn serious General.
"What does he look like?"
The General was incapable of answering her question.
"I ran away as soon as I saw that beast. That was no soldier it was a beast in the disguise of a man."
He told her. Limalisha, who was also walking with her, immediately realised what was going on.
"It is either a Vanadis or that monster... if it is who I am thinking, then we can use that to our advantage."
"It looks like you figured out who it is, mind sharing it with us?"
Fine asked as she realised from her tone that she already guessed who it was. Limalisha simply replied with a hateful look.
"There is only one person that I know that has the strength employ such a crazy tactic... the Emperor of Britannia, Oemitsu."
Fine's eyes widened, she was expecting unorthodox methods from Oemitsu, but not something like jumping into enemy lines alone...
"Then it means that if we hurry up, we can kill Oemitsu and force the collapse of the Britannian Empire."
Fine concluded.
'If only it was that easy...'
Limalisha thought, she had fought Oemitsu before and she knows how hard it is to fight him. She knows that this crusade against Oemitsu will end with her death, but if it means that she can avenge Eleonora then she will be happy. She will do it or die trying.

...
Meanwhile, Oemitsu was killing any poor soldier that came on his way. At this point they surrounded him, but none dare to charge at him. Their spears and weapons were shaking from the fear of confronting the behemoth in front of them
Out of despair and fear, the soldiers created a shield wall around him with four rows, in an attempt of stopping the mayhem he was creating.
'She is taking longer than expected to show up.'
Oemitsu thought as his horse charged in the direction of the wall. The soldiers were pushed back and he easily broke out of this encirclement.
'Since nobody was going to stop me, then I will continue killing everything on my way. My kill count is already in the 500.'
(589.)
Nyar corrected him.
'Thank you sis, but you are missing one.'
Oemitsu said as his spear cut through the chest of another soldier.
'My bad, 590. Only 10 more to 600.'
"Let's raise that count up, shall we?!"
As he asked that question, a huge blue magic circle covered his horse's feet and everything around him froze.
"Requiem Zero."
Soldiers and horses were frozen alive, no one could escape from his ice. It still needed some work to be in the level of someone like Esdeath, but it was good enough to deal with this type of soldiers.
"If I had the same abilities as my mother, I could freeze this entire continent if I wanted... what a shame she is not willing to teach me everything she knows.'
(7908, now. If we don't count the horses that is.)
"Better."
Oemitsu said as he smiled, he only has one problem... his horse froze together with everything.
Now he has to walk to the next soldiers that are running away.
"Troublesome."
Unlike the huge wave of soldiers that were running away there were three horses that were charging in his direction.
Leading them was a woman that he didn't recognise, but if he had to guess it was Fine. How can he know? Well, he recognises the weapons she uses, after all, it was Sasha's old weapons.
On her left, there was Limalisha, Eleonora's best friend, easily recognisable by her blue armor. On the right, there was a dude that he didn't know but it looked like he wasn't someone important
So since they were at least 500 meters away he decided to do something to kill time.
He picked up a spear on the ground with one hand and threw it. Like a guided missile it found it's way to the guy on the right's heart. He flew off the back of his horse with a spear nailing him on the ground.
Fine saw her General falling and yet she didn't stop. She continued head on, Oemitsu was asking himself if she was really brave or really dumb...
Finally, when she reached Oemitsu, she brought her sword down, just to Oemitsu dodged it rather easily, when you are fighting someone in horse back, their movements are restricted and predictable.
Fine fell down from her horse, since Oemitsu had stabbed it while she was charging at him using an ice sword when she was close enough.
Limlisha didn't commit the same mistake as Fine, she instead choose to pick up a bow and fire an arrow at Oemitsu. However, Oemitsu didn't even bother turning around.
"Tear them apart, Ley adnos!"
A huge ball of wind blocked Oemitsu's back and destroyed the arrow.
"This technique, it can't be Eleonora-sama?"
Limalisha screamed as she turned to the one who fired the wind ball and saw Eleonora standing proudly on her horse.
"You are rather troublesome to find, Oemitsu."
Eleonora said as she turned to Oemitsu who simply shrugged at her comment. A bunch of fire could be seen from the distance, the entire camp was on fire.
"The plan is successful. Only 10 people defeated an army of around 100,000 soldiers. So what did Valentina offer you to join her?"
Oemitsu asked his opponent, rather curious at her intentions. Fine dashed at him and he dodged every single slash, she still hasn't mastered her blades.
She is clearly not his opponent and yet she is unwilling to give up. Oemitsu side stepped her blades and kicked her in the liver sending her down on the floor.
"Revolving Twin Blaze!"
Her daggers ignited on fire and she spun around trying to cut Oemitsu while she got up, with no success.
"Sorry, I was simply spellbound by your skill."
Fine said as she gripped the handles of her twin blades and propelled her self foward. She actually managed to get up after one hit from Oemitsu she is like jack in the box.
After that, she tried to slice him multiple times, however, all of it was in vain. Oemitsu just dodged and side stepped her attacks, proving her offensive useless. But as a veteran mercenary, she wasn't going to give up that easily, so she began to mix punches, kicks, feints and even headbutts.
Since her speed was increasing by the minute, Oemitsu was caught in a few of her attacks, however, with the speed increase, came the stamina drain.
She was getting tired really fast. Both of them had been fighting for just a few minutes and she was already at the brink of exhaustion. Her inaptitude with her Draconic Tool also contributed to her disadvantage, after all, she became a Vanadis a few weeks ago, but even with her vast experience as a Mercenary and as a combatant, how could she defeat someone that basically only knew how to fight, kill and have sex?
She had no chance of winning. Even if she mastered her Bargren... only defeat would await her.
Oemitsu, tired of playing this little game, dodged her blows before he hit her abdomen with a strong straight, sending her flying back, hitting a lot of the frozen soldiers on her way, breaking them to bits of frozen flesh.
Since Oemitsu hit her in a weak spot, the moment she hit the ground she rolled to the side and vomited the dinner that she had earlier.
After that, she looked at him, waiting for him to deal the finishing blow, however, when she saw that he had a smirk on his face, she knew that he wasn't planning on killing her. He was amused about what she was going to do next.
"A shame I couldn't accomplish my dreams, but I know that you will accomplish them for me Oemitsu. Your Empire will unite this continent and create eternal peace. I am rather unlucky, that I will not be able to see what you create."
After saying that, with her expressionless face, she lit herself on fire. She wanted to self destruct, in an attempt to end her life instead of being captured on the battlefield. To her, defeat in the battlefield means death and if Oemitsu wasn't going to kill her... she herself will.
"Alright. I am gonna have to stop you right there."
Suddenly she heard Oemitsu's voice and right below her, a blue magic circle appeared.
"Freeze."
He said as the fire immediately died down and her whole body froze in an block of ice. Only her head was sticking out of the ice.
Oemitsu didn't saw, but while he was fighting with Fine, Eleonora managed to subdue Lim, who believed that she was an ilusion They ended up reconciliating with a beautiful hug... Oemitsu was too absorbed by the sight of two beautiful woman hugging each other, to care about the fact that following Fine's defeat, her army ended up getting routed.
