Chapter 177 : [Operation Main (Moscow II)]

Located somewhere in Moscow, Jinwoo himself is currently in his disguise as a normal civilian, as he took a sit inside a certain coffee shop in the city, while looking towards the suspected building where the rumored base of the terrorist where situated. It hasn't been long since the report that an agent had witnessed the members of the terrorist group appearing in the city had pass, the organization themselves had quickly moved unto the next step and immediately send in their real force towards the city itself.

Proven to that fact, it was just about yesterday that the report had been made known towards everyone related to the main assault group about the operation, and in less that the whole night, the organization itself quickly sent in all of the agents related to the main assaults force to enter the city during the dead of the night.

In order to accomplish this, all of the agents participating in the operation were sent towards the city via stealth plane from the main base in America. After arriving in the city's borders, the agents quickly unload the plane as they were then sent out to encircle the building by roaming around the district themselves.

In order to avoid suspicion and being found out quickly, all the agents then undergo a disguise as they dispersed all around the building area while pretending to be either a tourist or a native of the city. In fact they were all just waiting for the GO command from the top in order to enact the operation and take down the terrorist group.

The reason for this cautious approach instead of their normal routine of bulldozing through the enemy's frontline, lays on the fact that they had no idea whether such a place was a trap prepared for them or it is their actual base of operation. The building itself was just too normal to the point that the native of the city doesn't suspect a thing.

One other point of their cautiousness is their hold of the child wielding power of life and death. They don't know just how far did the terrorist group manage to control such power, if they ever go in blind towards the enemy, they may face eradication of the whole group just from the death touch alone.

With such unknown danger, they had no choice but to be extra careful for this operation.

Of course due to the fact that everything was rushed by the organization, Jinwoo himself hadn't taken any break nor sleep at all from the moment he was deployed. Due to that he was actually tired from all this moving around, which is the reason why he is inside the coffee shop.

The coffee in the store really packs a punch to his nervous system. Because of that he was able to stay fully awake throughout the night, despite his tired constitution.

While looking towards the suspected building, Jinwoo tried to distract himself from falling asleep as he communicated with Ai through his comms.

"Hey! any suspicious activity Ai?"

[Ai: "I would have told you if i saw anything, ya know"]

"They still did nothing? now that's suspicious.... just what are they doing inside the building?"

{Ai: "Who knows! all the cctv inside the building is destroyed.... we're completely blind from here on out"]

".... Hmmm... Its weird... they're too quiet, i don't like this at all"

{Ai: "Why? is it because a storm may be brewing inside the building?"]

"That and yes... its just... its my gut feeling you know... something is just not right"

[Ai: "Well i do agree with you... its just too quiet that its suspicious, even the other officers here are debating whether to attack now or not... for all we know the terrorist group may have noticed our presence and used our time of hesitation to actually make their silent escape"]

"... That is quite a problem"

After saying that, Jinwoo looked at the agent across the street disguised as a passerby, as he watched the whole fiasco of the agents walking pass the building. Speaking of agent, Jinwoo then suddenly remembered something as he asked Ai through his comms.

"Oh yeah! what happened towards that agent who witnessed the terrorist group in the city?"

[Ai: "That guy? well he was found by some agents hiding in a apartment on the east of the city... he is already pulled way from this city as we speak"]

After that Jinwoo looked over at the family of four on the other side of the street, as he saw the kids smiling happily with their parent tagging from behind. Just seeing such a happy go lucky family in this apocalyptical world can be considered a treasure, due to that he just cant imagine the family's  undergoing panic the moment the battle has started.

With just a sheer scale of force being sent here to deal with the terrorist group, one can literally expect that the whole city itself would turn into a battlefield which will involve a lot of innocent lives on the line.

In order to avoid alerting the enemy, the organization and the country's government decide not to inform the people of the city regarding the threat. With the people of the city being kept in naivety, the agents would be able to use them as a cover from the terrorist group and make them let their guard down from the natives of the country.

Naturally there is an expected consequences for such a decision, and that is the lives of all the people of the city.

"These people... they don't know that a huge battle is brewing underneath this façade of a peace... i don't like this one bit"

[Ai: "your not the only one! a lot of people involved in the operation are dissatisfied by using the civilians as a cover for our battle against the terrorist, it is expected that a lot of them would die... but there is nothing we can do...we hold no position in the government at all, we cant make our own choice"]

"I know! from the very beginning of the training, we are always thought to only follow orders "We are soldiers first before civilians" that's what they always tell us... i don't think i could sleep peacefully if i know that a potential civilian may be killed in this battle"

[Ai: "As i said, we have no choice... Even head general Alex was suppressed by the majority votes form the leading leaders of the each surviving country... all we can do now, is try to lessen the innocent death as much as we can"]

"Those bastards seating up in their safe place are really inconsiderate aren't they? They're just focusing on retrieving Claire instead of worrying over the civilian's safety... If i ever rose in ranks, i would literally give them a piece of my mind"

After saying that Jinwoo, look again towards the building as he watched every signs of suspicions with his keen eyes.
