Chapter 154: [Operation Spearhead XVI (Komsomol'skana Amure V)]

About 15 minutes has passed since the chaos being had started attacking the east side of the city of Komsomol'skana Amure, during those times the combat unit of the organization branch located in the city had tried its best to stall the monster in that particular area. By stalling it not only will they be able to minimize the damages in the city, they would also be able to contain the creature in order to not involve other non combatant civilian.

After all there were already cases in the past that specific chaos being often takes hostages among the frightened civilians in order to fend off the attacking agents. Through that case study then sprung up regarding the intelligence of the chaos beings the more they are exposed in this world. Since it was proven that they posses somewhat an intelligence, the organization had to take precautionary measures when dealing against such monsters.

Speaking about past cases due to such unprecedented development, numerous casualties were found whenever such a thing happened. Thus extra vigilance is required when dealing with chaos being that has intelligence.

While some agents had finally arrived in the scene and started subjugating the chaos being, the group of commanding officer Zhang was currently on the way to the east side f the city as they drove across the place with their armored vehicle. While on the way they then received updated information of the chaos being as commanding officer Zhang begun his short briefing to the group.

"Based on the info update, the chaos being that is attacking the city is a type of hybrid chimera"

"Hybrid chimera?" asks by Kanzaki, clearly confused by such a term

"Yes! I also don't know what such a term entails, but looking at the creature's physique i can conclude that it has a tough defense stat due to its armor while also quick on its feet due to the size of its weapon"

"Based on its weapon... all i can say is that since it has chains on each end of the handle of the blade, then it might have a possibility of range attacks by throwing one of it weapon towards its enemy"

"I see... after all since it is chained together, as long as the chain doesn't break then the monster would be able to retrieve its weapon even from far away" commented by Richard

"Also its a fire attribute monster" added by Farid

"Maybe we can hit it from afar... a range that is outside the monster scope" said by Yuti

Hearing their comments commanding officer Zhang then nodded in agreement as he added some info.

"Also this monster is a bit special"

"Special?" asks by Yuti

"Yes! apparently this monster isn't working alone, in fact it has a tamed Cerberus type chaos being under its command... that is the reason why it is called a hybrid chimera... a chaos knight which had a trait of a chaos titan and have a chaos beast under its command.... putting everything together, such a title category is fitting for such a monster"

As he finished saying this, they then arrived at the stop of their location as everyone hurriedly got off. As everyone unloaded the vehicle, Commanding officer Zhang then asked for Richard to stay with him in order to watch his six whenever they engage in combat, as for the others, they were free to execute any regime they have in mind regarding such situation.

Of course since commanding officer Zhang is not an agent, he will need time to prepare in order to gear himself up for combat, due to that he need an extra amount of time for preparations before heading out. As he pops up his trunk which reveals military grade weapons upgraded by the organization, he then at the same time sends everyone except for Richard as he ordered them to start subjugating the monster.

Under his agreement everyone then begun to move.

While running towards the location of the chaos being, Kanzaki then begun giving out objectives for each person running together with him.

"Yuti i need  you to attend to the people injured and backing away from the fight, if you must make haste, do not hesitate to force people to retreat to a safe place when they're in danger"

"Got it!"

"Farid! i need you to cover for me and chain your attacks with mine when dealing against the enemy"

"You don't have to say it twice"

"Alright! let go!"

Soon after the three of them then came into view of the fire armored chaos being as it fought off against agents surrounding it. However due to its tenacity, agile, and endurance the agents surrounding the chaos being slowly dwindled as most of them were either blown away, knocked down, or killed by the enemy.

Due to its performance, most of the agents then retreated back as they plan to regain their footing before engaging in combat towards such monster. Naturally such agents are Russian.

In that moment when most of the group backed away, both Kanzaki and Farid then zoomed past the said retreating group as both of them charged towards the fire armored monster, at the same time Yuti begun helping the other people from escaping the chaos being's range of attack.

While both Kanzaki and Farid were running towards danger, Kanzaki then touched the hilt of his sword(Fafnir) as he plans to deliver a decisive blow from the very start of the combat, on the other hand Farid begun coursing electric current on his weapon as he intended to also start the attack with a huge and quick blow to its vital point.

However the moment Kanzaki got ahead of Farid, his chaos eyes suddenly activated as he saw the future wherein he was done in by Cerberus from a hidden angle. With his ability foresight, he was able to see his grim future in that slight millisecond as he suddenly hesitated to even pull out his sword.

In that moment as if his senses begun warning him of danger, his eyes then darted sideways towards the mirror of the building on his left, and saw Cerberus sneakily hiding behind on the other side of the mirror.

In quick reaction, he then faced his left as he pulls out his sword to fend for himself at the same time when Cerberus crashes out of the left building and opened its jaw to bite down on Kanzaki. In order to avoid being eaten alive, Kanzaki then infused his chaos mana into his legs as he pushed himself to the right as he intend to get away from Cerberus.

Naturally when Kanzaki entered the right building, Cerberus three heads also chased after him, as it plunged down its head towards the entrance with a hope to catch him in its jaws. 

Withy the sudden appearance of Cerberus, Farid was then shocked for a moment as he realized just how near he was in deaths door. If it wasn't for Kanzaki taking the lead, he was sure that he would be eaten alive at that very moment.
