Chapter 144: [Operation Spearhead VI (Khabarovsk)]

[Checkpoint to Khabarovsk]

On the certain day when the whole group finally departed from the checkpoint and headed down the road towards Khabarovsk, Commanding officer Zhang then led the whole team on his very own silenced motor powered armor vehicle as they traversed the long road towards the city of Khabarovsk. After all such a powered vehicle is a must if they want to preserve their stamina when traversing a huge land.

As he himself was currently driving the vehicle, he then turned his attention towards the members with him in this operation as he quickly asked.

"Who among you knows how to speak Russian?"

In front of his question not even one of them even answered as they all stayed silent, showing that none of them knows how to speak such language. After coming up to that conclusion, he then gave his very first order for the day.

"Since no one answered, then I'm going to take that as none of you knows how to speak Russian... If that is the case then ask your own supporters through your comm's to aid you in translating your own words to Russian words, maybe you can even install a auto translation to your voice devices"

Hearing his suggestion, every person in the vehicle aside from Commanding officer Zhang then begun contacting their own supporters as they called out their problem. Naturally Kanzaki himself too quickly contacted Isabelle who is situated in the main checkpoint and stated out his concern.

[Kanzaki: "Hey! You there?"]

[Isabelle: "I'm here! What's wrong? Did you encounter a problem on your side?"]

[Kanzaki: "Not yet! But I'm staying vigilant']

[Isabelle: "Is that so? Then what do you want?"]

[Kanzaki: "Can you install an auto translating function on my uniform? I need it to be able to converse with the residents of Russia... if any survives of course"]

[Isabelle: "I see... Right! Leave it up to me, i can do that much... after all Alice had already requested such a thing to me a few hours ago"]

[Kanzaki: "Really? She's quite attentive"]

[Isabelle: "Hah! That's right']

[Kanzaki: "How is she?"]

[Isabelle: "She's good! Well of course since she's a beauty of her own right, two boys on her own team is currently trying to flirt with her and win her affection"] 

[Kanzaki: "Only two boys?]

[Isabelle: "Well the last one is a girl, thus its already a given"]

[Kanzaki: "I see... well that's all for now, contact me if anything happens on her side, also inform me if you found anything suspicious heading towards us"]

[Isabelle: "Understood!"]

{Kanzaki: "Alright! Talk to you later"]

After ending his communication,  the whole vehicle became silent once more as they all headed towards Khabarovsk.

Soon after for what seems like an hour on the road, they finally arrived at the desolate city of Khabarovsk or for what seem likes its remains. Upon arriving everyone then got off the vehicle as they all stayed vigilant towards their surroundings, while Commanding officer Zhang parked the armored car to the side and pulled out his prepared weapons.

On his waist pocket he has  a highly modified P320-M18 version 5 appropriate to take down a chaos beast with its highly modified Klein bullets, and a M4A1 5.56mm Klein version Carbine on his shoulder.

Even though all of this military weapon is during the time of pre-apocalypse, the technology department with the help of various scientist then manage to create a newer version of this weapons appropriate to combat against the so called monsters. During this 10 years, those normal weapons undergoes numerous upgrades and prototypes till they manage to attain their current status.

With that such versions was then handed out towards the military to aid the only fighting force they had against the chaos beast.

After taking out his weapon from the car's trunk, Commanding officer Zhang then took some spare magazines and grenades' before closing up the vehicle and  ordering everyone to move out.

"Alright! Everybody move out!"

As he gave out that order everyone then spread-out in a formation just like instructed even before they got in the city, as they all stayed vigilant in their surroundings. In the formation Commanding officer Zhang is up front of the group, while Kanzaki and Farid are on their respective left and right,  and Richard together with Yuti are at the rear of the group.

Taking the star formation, they then moved forward as they looked around their own vicinity.

While moving they then come across numerous pathways with the signs of fighting and dried up blood along the way, presumably some people were fighting against a chaos beast in the area in the past. Nevertheless they still moved on all around the city with an expectation to find any living settlement nearby.

After awhile for what seems like an hour, they then arrived at a small mart near the gas station as they saw all the food on display inside had already been ransacked b y a group of people. Upon seeing such an emptied sight, Richard then couldn't help but give out a comment.

"Seeing like someone had ransacked the place, maybe the terrorist group had passed the area?"

"Or maybe a survivor on the area had ransacked the place" said Kanzaki

"It could be or it could be not" said Richard

"Or it could be both" said Kanzaki

When he heard their assumptions, Farid then examined the dusted shelf as he said.

"Quite a lot of dust had accumulated here... this place had already been ransacked for a very long time now"

"Then doesn't that mean that whoever ransacked this place is already far gone?" asked Yuti

"Well we cant be too sure, anyways no time to waste in this place... Since its been ransacked then there must be someone on this city... come on! lets move on and examine the whole city first before moving to the next one" said Commanding officer Zhang

Hearing his words, everyone then nonchalantly followed him as they moved further up till they reached the center of the city. After reaching such place, they then moved east to check the east area, before heading south back to where they started then moving west. Lastly after arriving at the west side of the city with nothing much to find, they then moved towards the north area as their last stop before halting their march.

Throughout the whole march, they often times encounter small chaos beast along the way but never anything that is too dangerous for the group. All in all it took them about the whole day just to explore the city in a circular route.

After finishing their march up north, Commanding officer Zhang then call it for the day.
