Going Home

When Adrien emerges from a portal and detransforms, you scoff at his attire.

"Why do you get actual pajamas and I have to wear this thing?!" You ask, gesturing to your gown.

"Because you don't wanna have to explain why you either left the hospital, or, allowed me to go your room." He explains simply as he gets food for Kaalki.

"Oh, darling! Have you seen his house? It's huge!" She asks, flying over to you excitedly.

"Yeah, you were with me, remember?" You giggle.

"Oh yes. But I couldn't see it then!"

You laugh as Adrien looks at you and Nooroo on the bed, then at Plagg on the couch.

"Did you guys have a fight or something?"

"Nah, Plagg just threatened to destroy us all if we woke him."

"Ohh, I'm not surprised."

"Well I will take my chances, I'm going to sleep. And I'll let you two have the bed to yourselves." Kaalki says, giving you a wink.

"What happened to no funny business, and we need to rest?" You laugh.

"You seem fine to me!" She responds, floating over with Nooroo trailing cautiously behind her.

They arrange themselves where they should be hidden if a nurse checks in, and lay down to sleep.

Adrien makes sure the mask is on right, then comes over and moves the blankets hesitantly.

"I'm fine with it, but I won't be if you don't hurry up!"

He grins and quickly gets under the covers with you.

As he wraps his arms around you, you try to get settled without interfering with the wires.

Eventually you find you can lay with the arm attached to the monitors stretched out behind you, while your head and other hand rest on Adrien's chest.

He purrs, making you giggle.

"If the nurses come in here while I'm doing that, they're gonna think I'm a complete weirdo!" He complains.

"Nah, they'll probably find it as cute as I do!"

"Well as long as they don't start trying to do tests on me!"

"Surely they won't! It's easy to understand. Cute Kitty equals cute purring!"

"If you say so."

"I do!" You say, then lean up to kiss him.

But you pull away as soon as the heart monitor starts beeping a little faster.

"Ugh. I'm ready to get out of here! That thing is embarrassing!"

"Aw, if it makes you feel better my heart beats faster when we kiss too!"

You giggle, and hide your flushed cheeks in his chest.

He gives you a very light squeeze, too worried to do anything else.

But of course you're interrupted by a nurse, who asks about the heart monitor.

"Just saying goodnight!" You inform them.

After they leave you groan exasperatedly.

"Seriously, goodnight. It's been a long day."

"You're telling me!" Adrien says, and you feel him shudder a little.

"I love you." You say, hoping to take his mind off what happened earlier.

"I love you too, Angel. Sleep well." He responds, kissing the top of your head.

You smile, and let his purring lull you to sleep.

Until you're awakened by the door opening, and a soft "Aww"ing.

You don't open your eyes, but you can tell it's still night, and you somewhat recognize the voice of a nurse.

"Psst, come here!" The voice says.

You hear footsteps make their way to the door, and you assume someone else is looking in.

"Isn't that sweet? They're just kids, but they're one of the cutest couples I've seen in a while." The first nurse says, making you fight to keep a grin away.

"Yeah, and look how he's holding her! Even while sleeping he looks so protective."

"Right! I wish I had that kind of relationship. Did you hear how he kept refusing to leave her?"

"Uh-huh. That could probably be taken in a different way, but from everything I've seen and heard it's nothing bad, just protective and caring. Plus, look at how comfortable she looks with him!"

"I hope they continue to have a good relationship. Oh no, shh!" The nurses suddenly quiet, as Adrien starts twitching.

You rub his arm without even thinking, which quickly makes him calm down.

It also makes the nurses "Awww!" again.

They leave just after that, and you fall back asleep until morning.

When you do wake up, you find Adrien has already awakened, but is still holding you and smiling.

"Good morning, Angel." He whispers with his voice still husky.

"Morning, Kitty." You yawn, and cuddle up as closely as possible to him.

"I like this." He says.

"Me too." You respond.

Though you wish to stay with him longer, nurses come in with trays for breakfast so you decide food is worth moving for.

After everyone has eaten more nurses arrive, and say you need a few more tests, then can be cleared to go home.

So you quickly go with them, and Adrien follows a moment after, having transformed.

But for one test they say he's not allowed in, and they only allow one doctor.

Since I can't go in with y/n, I use Kaalki to go home to shower and change real quick.

Last night while I was there I woke up Felix and made him promise to cover for me, saying that I was sick and probably wouldn't leave my room.

So once I'm home and detransformed I have to sneak downstairs for Kaalki an apple.

Plagg stays in my room to pig out on cheese, and Nooroo stays with him.

He's probably too traumatized to go anywhere else, poor little guy.

I bring him food and after I've gotten everything taken care of, and an apple to go, I transform again and get back to the hospital.

Luckily I end up in a bathroom so the kwamis can eat and hide, and then I make my way to y/n's room, where she's waiting with her parents, seeming to be arguing or something.

"I can't wear this!" You complain.

"But I thought you liked that shirt!?" Your mother says in confusion.

"I do, but it got a stain, and shrank a little, so now I just use it as a pajama shirt!"

"Well we're just going home, it's ok!"

"I guess, but I was hoping to go the cafeteria, because the nurses told me they have a vending machine for ice cream!!"

"Then you'll either have to go in the shirt or the gown!"

You decide to wear the shirt, and the pants that were decent.

So once you've changed you all head to the cafeteria and find the ice cream.

Your parents finish first, and say they're going to gather your things and get them in the car.

So they leave you and Adrien, technically Cat Noir, behind to finish.

"It's not as good as André's, but it'll do." He remarks.

"I have to agree. Though I still want more." You respond, scraping the bottom of the carton.

"Me too. I'll get us some more, what flavor do you want?" He asks as he gets up.

"You know how I couldn't chose between two? Get the other one."

He gives an "Ok!" and behind you, to where the machine is.

After he's been gone a minute, a guy wearing a hospital gown enters the room and comes over and leans on your table.

"Dang, girl. What are you here for, high fever? Because you are hot!" He says, smirking.

"Actually, I'm here for a stab wound and if you don't leave me alone, you will be too." You retort.

"Ooh, feisty!" He replies, moving closer.

"Dude!" Someone, you assume his friend, interrupts, pulling him away, to where you can't see them, but you can still hear their conversation.

"Bruh, I'm tryna get hooked up!" The first guy says, probably winking.

"Yeah, well. You'll get hooked up to probably a noose if you're not careful!" Says the friend, making you try to contain a laugh.

"Jeez! Why?" The flirt asks.

"Haven't you heard the nurses talking about it? That's the girl who suddenly came back from the dead! They think there's some kind of voodoo or something involved. PLUS she's dating Cat Noir, and one of the nurse guys here accidentally touched her where he shouldn't have, and Cat legit growled at him!" The friend explains.

"You know how much the nurses gossip, that's probably been all twisted around." Flirty guy says, though he looks nervous.

You don't know if he planned it or not, but Cat chooses that exact moment to come back, as you can hear him saying "Excuse me." As he goes around the two.

"Here you go, Love." He says, setting the ice cream down in front of you on his way past.

"So it's true!?" You hear the first guy say in disbelief.

You suppress a giggle and as quietly as you can, ask if Cat heard the whole interaction.

"Oh yeah. With these I can almost understand what the people in the kitchen are saying." He responds, pointing to his cat ears.

"So I heard how you threatened to stab that guy." He laughs.

"Hey, I just said he'd end up with a stab wound. I didn't say where he'd get it. And as his friend said, you're the one growling at people!" You tease.

"That guy needed to be growled at!"

"I can't say I disagree."

You both chuckle and finish the ice cream, then leave as you see your parents.

Cat rides in the car with the three of you, and after you get home he lets you say goodbye to Kaalki and Nooroo, before you reluctantly let him take them back to Master Fu.

You wish he didn't have to, but mostly are doing it for Nooroo.

"Now don't be doing anything too crazy! No flips and running around!" You tell him as he's leaving.

"Don't worry, Angel! I'll probably walk most of the way." He says quietly.

"Good!"
