"Y/n!" You hear your mother call.
"Yeah?!" You shout back to her.
"Come here please!" You do as she says and make your way to the kitchen, where she's sitting at the table.
"What is it mom?"
"I need you to go to the store and pick some things up for me for dinner tonight." she tells you.
"Ok, whatcha need?"
"Here's the list," she says handing you a slip of paper.
You scan the list, it's just a few simple things.
"Alrighty, I'll just go get my shoes."
You get your shoes, the list, and some money, then head to the grocery store in the middle of Paris.
It takes a bit longer than usual, since it's just after 3 PM, when people are getting out of school and work so the sidewalks are congested.
When you get to the store you head for the nearest section that has an item you need.
You're struggling to reach a bag of lettuce when a boy approaches you.
After school*
"Can we stop at the store for a second? I need to get something." I ask The Gorilla.
I'm not just getting some sweets. Not at all. And I'm definitely not getting y/n's favorite along with mine so we can eat it tonight.
As we pull up to the store, I spot a girl with h/l h/c going inside.
I think sadly.
But then I get an idea.
I go inside and see her looking at some vegetables.
I go over when I notice she's struggling to reach something on a high shelf in the cooler area.
"Excuse me, y-miss, would you like some help?" I mentally face palm, I can't believe I almost called her by name!
"Oh, uh sure! Thanks!" she says smiling.
I can see what looks like confusion in her eyes when she looks at me.
I wonder if she can recognize me a little.
I give her the lettuce and our hands brush.
I can feel sparks shoot through my fingertips, into my arm and keep going.
That only happens when I touch Ladybug.
And it hasn't ever happened before with y/n.
And we've hugged and other things.
So why is this different?
I guess because I've never talked to her before as Adrien, and my civilian self is considerably shyer than my alter ego.
She thanks me again and continues shopping.
As you're walking away, you can't help but glance back at the boy, who looked strangely familiar.
He's walking away, toward the other end of the store.
You think back to your interaction.
"Excuse me, y-miss, would you like some help?" what looks like panic flashes through his features for a second, but it's so fast you can't really tell.
And you wonder why he said the first letter of your name, before miss.
"Oh, uh, sure! Thanks!" You say, glad someone is helping you, but as you look at this boy, with strikingly familiar blonde hair and green eyes, you wonder where you've seen him before.
He hands you the bag of lettuce you wanted, and as you reach for it, your fingers brush his.
You feel a strange electric current zip through your body, and can only remember one time it's happened before.
The first time you touched Cat Noir.
You were sure then it was just excitement from meeting your hero, since you hadn't felt it any of the times you've touched since.
But there it was, zipping through you, not in a painful way, but sort of nice.
You thank him once more and continue walking.
As you walk past the candy aisle, almost finished with the small list, you see the boy again.
You don't mean to creep, but it's continued bothering you, wondering where you've seen him.
He looks about your age, but you can't see how that would have much significance, being homeschooled and all doesn't guarantee seeing lots of other people your age.
He looks up, probably sensing you staring at him and you whip your head forward and continue walking to the register.
It's while you put the groceries on the belt and are waiting to check out when you look at the magazine racks.
And there he is.
The boy who looks so familiar.
He's on a magazine.
You grab the book, looking at the cover.
Adrien Agreste.
His name is Adrien Agreste.
He's a model.
His father is a fashion designer.
But you hardly ever read magazines.
The clerk finishes scanning your things, and tells you the price, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You pay, take the bags and walk away.
But you look back and there he is.
At the same register you went to, buying 2 candies, and one you instantly recognize.
Because it's your favorite.
And then he puts the other one, which takes a few seconds longer to register, but it does.
It's the candy that Cat Noir said was his favorite.
He just told you just last night.
When you told him yours.
Then he puts a pack of camembert cheese, which is a strange thing to buy, unless it's for a recipe.
As he pays and takes his bags you turn around, walking quickly because you don't want him to think you're spying.
Which you were.
You get home and put the bags for your mother on the table, then run to your room and flop on the bed.
You keep thinking about why the boy looked familiar until your mother calls you for dinner.
You forget all about the boy named Adrien when you start eating.
You hear a knock at the window a few hours later, when everyone is asleep and you're doing schoolwork, and knowing who it is, you open it, and, just as you expected there stands Cat Noir.
But he's holding something.
