The old man was still looking ahead as if he hadn't noticed Adrian, He tilted his head up and whispered with the wind. "The world told me to let her go, but how can you let go of the person who gave you your greatest dreams?"

Hearing the choking in the old man's voice, Adrian asked. "Was she your beloved?"

"Of course. She was the life of mine. I married her but She wasn't just my wife; she was the heartbeat of my life. When she vanished, the rhythm of my world faltered."

Adrian felt sympathy for the old man. He recalled that when he heard that Ethan was kidnapped his heart had almost paused for a moment. He wanted to be with Ethan.
