Almost five weeks later, as they began to despair, a wave of familiar energy tickled them and made them turn their heads towards the entrance of the club. A calmer, more mature Meldiriel stood there, standing a bit aside, apologizing to the staff for their missed appointment, letting herself embrace and hug by all, a small smile on her lips. Once installed at the end of the bar, she raised her mug to the two men, a real smile on her lips, without pretending to join them. She seemed to be waiting, biting her lip, for them to give her permission to join them, not knowing how they would react when she returned.
Aeriel took matters into his own hands very directly: he confiscated the young woman's mug, took her by the shoulders and led her towards the central alcove where he left her in front of her two protectors. Bowing to them, he then walked away, leaving them to fend for themselves. Leifr and Estheniel held out their hands to her and were rewarded with a joyful, outspoken laugh: she was happy to be back.
"Good evening, Estheniel, Leifr. I owe both of you an apology for unintentionally hurting you. Leifr, it was never my intention to hurt you like this. Estheniel, my reaction was disproportionate and unfair. To make a long story short, my two new palettes are under control thanks to Lucifer and Lilith, their blood to be precise."
"Good evening Blue, I'm pleasantly surprised that you decided to be familiar with me. I don't blame you and owe you an apology: for wanting to protect you too much, I imprisoned you without realizing it. You are welcome at our, at your table and the house is always ready to welcome you if you wish."
"Good evening, my Queen. Your throne awaits you if you wish. I'm happy to finally see you back with us. He won't say it, but we were beginning to despair."
"I'm sorry to have worried you so much, my angels." The young woman surprised them both by hugging them and stood on tiptoe to kiss their cheek. She had acted naturally and hadn't trembled or backed away right away. "I've missed you, missed you a lot the last few days, but I had to put some things back in order before I could come back, it's done now. Leifr, despite my emancipation, I would like to continue living with you, with both of you, if you agree."
"Are you sure? Do you really want to live with the two of us? What happened?"
"Short version? Drinking the blood of two Premiers and a few lifts by the said Premiers allowed me to open my eyes and realize that I just had to change."
"You will be surprised at the changes in our routines. I have a new businessman ready to do anything to serve you, including cooking your meals and providing anything you need or need. Thanks to him, I am much more available to guide you in your new life."
"Just one thing to know, my diet has changed slightly: I carry the blood of six Firsts now, including the First Vampire and the First Demon. Lilith made sure I ate today, but I need either half a bag of blood or a donor a day, a small price to pay to keep everything tidy. On the demonic side, no change except for a protein supplement every other day. I'm fine until the day after tomorrow. If I understand correctly, the protein supplement is mandatory in the first trimester of the mutation, for the blood it's for life."
"Anything you want, my Queen. Speaking of changes, Leifr and I have moved into the adjoining rooms to yours, finally leaving you a space just for you. Would you mind showing us your new pallets once we get home? If you need anything to allow you to do this, ask."
"For blood, I can introduce you to donors whose discretion I know. They will be quiet about your needs in case you want to keep your new abilities a secret."
"Leifr, Estheniel, my angels, my friends, I will no longer hide what I am. I would be more than happy to show you my new talents. The Fae will learn, the hard way, that Blue the victim is no more than a memory. He will meet Meldiriel Lune de Lys, Heiress of Six Bloods." The young girl closed her eyes and let out her aura, in no way hiding her crossbreeds. She was Fae, Lycan, Witch, Necromancer, Vampire, and Demon and was a perfect fit. "Lilith and Lucifer have done me the honor of sharing their blood and mingling them with my original line. I am proud of who I am, no offense to some jealous or embittered minds."
"Am I really a friend, Meldiriel? I am his twin, after all. She tortured you for over ten years..."
"You're not her, Leifr. You are way too caring, gentle and kind to be like her. And, I quote "becoming vampires doesn't make you all cold and heartless monsters" end of quote. And if you want further proof, you can read me either by the memory of the blood or by the blood that I gave you, you will see how much I have changed. Can you forgive me for doubting you?"
"It seems that our young friend has finally decided to believe you and trust you. I no longer feel the tension or the restraint she had around you. Say, my Queen, besides your coffee, is there anything you want? From here I can see nine people willing to go out of their way to please you, eleven if you count Leifr and me."
"If it's not too late, I'd eat something solid. If my specific needs have been met, the rest is a memory: my last real meal was at breakfast and I admit starting to be hungry. Leifr, I have something to ask you when we get home and after the demonstration."
"Anything you want, Blue. Unless you prefer Meldiriel. I'd rather warn you, in your absence your fae, lycan, necromancer, and wizard arts instructors have come forward and impatiently awaiting your news". He turned his head to Noëmi who had approached at Estheniel's request. "Could you have a plate of meat prepared for our ghost, please? Something plentiful: she hasn't eaten anything since this morning."
"No problem, Boss. A special service for the Little Wonder, one! Don't worry, Blue, it's still early days and there is plenty left to make you a full meal. As a drink, do you prefer a coffee, a cappuccino or a glass of blood? The infernal trio put their stock at your disposal: they recognized the blood of Lilith in you."
"The glass of blood in this case, more out of greed than out of need, I admit. And if the two trackers who have just entered don't keep quiet, I make a public demonstration of the risks involved in provoking myself. I warn, my latest "example" will seem mild in comparison. And to answer you, Leifr, there are only eleven of you who can call me Blue, those whom I consider my friends, my relatives, my family. For the rest of the world I am Meldiriel Lune de Lys." She settled between the two men, a relieved smile on her lips. "Thanks to you, I can see the world differently and cannot thank you enough."
"Two trackers at the bar? They really do not lack nerve..." Noëmi rolled up her lips before calming down under the young girl's soothing gaze. "Leifr, how about expanding the club to add an arena? It would serve as an auditorium, training room and warning for the unconscious..."
"For my part, I find the idea enticing, Noëmi, but I must be the only one. I know two of them who would take it badly if I got into too many fights. I'm supposed to be changing my lifestyle after all."
"If adding an arena to the club can make you happy, I'm building it, Blue. This appendix might be helpful if some do not understand the message."
"My Queen, do you feel in good enough for a little public demonstration without powers? As Noëmi suggested, one arena would not be too much and I totally agree with this addition to the club, if Leifr agrees it goes without saying."
"Voted and approved, an arena will be added, all that remains is to find out where and when the work will begin."
"Thanks, Leifr. To answer Estheniel, I could without difficulty make a public demonstration with and without powers, four private lessons and another demonstration in private all powers to the maximum without consequence. My level of proficiency is not what you used to know but much different now. It seems that, thanks to the latest additions, my limits have been lifted, opening the door to possibilities I never imagined. So, a public demonstration will not be a problem, not even a drop of sweat. If you all agree, I'll prove it to you before I eat, which gives me a slight handicap and gives Lucian plenty of time to prepare my order."
Getting up on that statement, she reached out to Estheniel with a smile before leaning over to Leifr and kissing him on the cheek. The young woman's gaze was calm and serene, as if everything was normal. Dragging the demon onto the dance floor, she smiled confidently, happy to find a great training partner. Having let go of his hand, she positioned herself in front of him and taunted him with her aura, signaling both staff and customers that a show was about to begin.
