Clone's
Chapter 18
Today Marked the third day I've been in my little village without my clones dying or releasing back so I could gain their experiences. This morning our village was attacked by an adventure, but the soldiers were able to land an arrow through the adventure's eye killing him instantly. Now, he would spread the word that Forks was a criminal village, and now tons of adventures would come to collect the rewards from the system in taking the village down.
I had called Tutorial System, and now just waited till she popped up. And just as I figured she wasn't going to show up, I turned around from the city gate and stopped suddenly to find her now in front of me.
"How long have you been there?" I asked.
"I was here the second you called me; you did call to me did you not?" she asked in her monotone voice.
"Whatever, I would like to know what a criminal village entails. There are no instructions whatsoever that I can find, and I believe we are at a disadvantage. It is unfair to put such a harsh flag on me, when I was only protecting the citizens of this village!" I pleaded.
"Yes, you are very strange, none in the past has ever defended one of the system characters. Afterall, they have no souls and are only creature's I created to help adventures. As for being fair, you have killed adventures this is not allowed you had to be punished." She explained.
"What? Didn't someone kill me before we even started the tutorial dungeon? I didn't see a flag on him!" I demanded, surprised at my own anger.
"The tutorial doesn't start until after the first trials." She seemed to pause as if hearing something that I couldn't hear, then she turned her head at me again. Her green galaxy that I could see deep in her head was flashing green a lot brighter and faster. Then she disappeared altogether which again my anger rose, and I quickly calmed myself.
I turned for a second and found myself in the middle of space like I have before. Except this time there was no system, there was a gold glowing humanoid at least 100 times my size. Bellow me the ground I was standing on was the gods hand out before him. His eyes had a deadly stare directly at me. I felt as if my entire body was vibrating from the pressure of his perception.
"A human? How did you complete the legendary dungeon? Why am I unable to see your stats?" The loud boom of his questions shook me to the core, my vision just blurred. It continued to be blurred even after he finished speaking. The question he was asking was obviously not for me, he seemed to only voice the questions as he pondered. Then he removed his hand, and I found my arms stretched out to my sides, along with my legs. The stretch was one foot after it started hurting, so I heard my bones mix with my meat causing me blinding pain.
Then the next second the pain was gone, but I was still stretched beyond possible, staring at a much smaller version of the god before me. "System Tutorial!" The god demanded.
I saw her appear to my left side facing him. "You are forbidden from disturbing newbies as they go through the tutorial for the system." She simply stated as if she was giving him the attitude that she already knew his answer and simply stated it as procedure.
"Display this human's stats, they are not allowed to hide them from a god." The man demanded obviously ignoring her.
"You are forbidden from disturbing newbies as they go through the tutorial for the system." She simply stated again, except after a pause she continued. "This is your second warning; the next will activate the admin." Again, she had a monotone voice as if just talking regulations.
The god seemed to be annoyed by this second warning and gave her a dirty look before he looked back at me. "You' would be wise to answer my two questions human!" He demanded this time his angry eyes burned my eyes until I was unable to see.
"Who are you?" I asked in a scream, the pain from my eyes burning continued to burn into my head. All I could see was fire, even as my eyes were gone… nothing but heated fire. Then he disappeared and the next second I was back to normal. My body was just floating as if in water but as I moved my hand there was no resistance for me to swim in.
"I apologize I was unable to stop him, he had a hidden skill to defy my laws. I'm sure he will not be the only one, you will probably receive more threats to answer their questions. For this reason, I believe your new system title will do with more upgrades, and your ability to compete against the gods that believe they are more than the system, as is my job as a tutorial guide." Her voice was of a strong emotion and even startled me a little bit.
Congratulations, you have received an upgrade to your 'System Lord' Title. You have received the title "System low level admin".
Congratulations, your soul has received an upgrade! You are now a Celestial Being! According to the system Laws, we are to inform the god of the targets worship. Your God Jehovah has agreed to sponsor your soul upgrade!
Congratulations, as one of Jehovah's celestial beings you have received the title "Jehovah's Witness".
Congratulations, you have received the power pool shared between all Jehovah's Celestial beings.
Congratulations, as you are the only celestial being sharing Jehovah power pool you have received the title "The chosen one!".
Warning, choosing to have only one celestial being the target's god shall be demoted within the system ranks.
Congratulations, as long as your god "Jehovah" remains hidden the system grants target Celestial receives an upgrade to any system ranks. You have received the title "System Admin (Deity level)".
I felt more than heard more notifications sound off in my head, but they didn't automatically open like the one's I could tell tuts had, or system tutorial. It wasn't until I was sitting in the middle of my villain village that I focused on the open window. My System Lord title had received two upgrades, and now the title read 'System Admin (Deity level)'.
It was an honor that this god Jehovah had sponsored me… It had me thinking that maybe they thought this Jesus guy that I knew was this god named Jehovah. Because Jesus was the only god in heaven, there was nothing else… I know this because I was already dead and in my own heaven. But perhaps these people think he's Jehovah… That would explain a lot especially considering what the next line said 'Jehovah's Witness'. That was an obvious joke, there's a religion called the Jehovah's witness's they believed Jehovah was the big guy. I felt so bad about anyone I had ever teased. Jesus had sponsored him, Jesus had only one!
I had the biggest revelation just now! Jesus had been setting me up. Jesus had asked me many times if I would sacrifice myself for the bigger picture. I told him the truth; I'd be very interested in that adventure outside of my heaven. But I never thought he'd do it! I knew my guess was right, not only did he do it but Bert was a bit glad. To become something bigger than just a hermit in his own heaven trying out all the human made things.
His soul was upgraded. In an earth system like video game that's already been thought up by a select few in the litrpg genera, back on earth. Earth, an entire world hidden from the 'system'. A small planet in a vast universe that is completely hidden some how from all the gods tied to this system.
The hidden jab from Jesus with the title "The Chosen one" was enough to convince me that Jehovah and Jesus were the same. Moments in the not so long distance, one where Jesus was giving a speech and said specifically 'The Chosen One' while looking at me three times in a row. The bridge when he gave him a hug to go pick up my son, he had said my chosen one with a laugh.
I found myself standing up being looked at by all the people all around me. People that were essentially the same thing as NPCs in computer games. People without souls… People that didn't matter, but they were humans! I received a soul upgrade! Was I an NPC? One that a god had taken pity on and created his own heaven outside of the system! I knew as soon as I thought it, that I had struck gold. 'Be something greater', he had said…
Was Jehovah a god that took pity on people like these? Was Jesus an NPC that had upgraded his soul? The more I let my mind wonder, the more questions I received. An elderly woman was standing beside me holding my arm and patting my back. I focused on her, and let my questions go.
"Do you know of the history of Jehovah?" I asked getting a smile and a nod from the older woman.
"One of the builders. He was a greater god during the creation of all. He had rebelled against the elder gods and taken all the human's that lived on Edge." She smiled as she explained it looking at me like she knew I was sputtering nonsense so she would answer with a smile.
"What is Edge?" I asked, honestly thinking maybe she was sputtering nonsense.
"It was the world of the humans, the servants to the gods. Jehovah last appeared on Edge gathering all the humans that would follow him into his own hiding." She explained this time she looked honestly worried for me.
"So, no more humans are on edge?" I asked how it's been since then.
"Well, it's the central hub for everything darling. Do you not remember where you came from son?" she asked now, checking my head with her fingers.
"No, I'm feeling a little better now, thank you." I responded getting a sigh of relief from the elderly woman.
I decided to check my notifications. It was like having a cell phone, you could hide in looking at something on your phone that they understood as the system.
Congratulations, you have been affected by [Divine Touch] from three perceptions from the god Stryker Foom. You have received fifty ability points and fifty stat points, and the class <advocate of Stryker Foom>
Don't know that God, I need to remember to do some reading or get one of these people who rely on me to help them. This couldn't be the same as the people on edge though because these people were immortals! That increased my curiosity so much that I risked asking the questions of the old lady.
"How long have you lived in this village?" I asked wondering if she was old as dirt. Like really.
"Our existence has always been. We as immortal humans exist where time has no ability to reach. There is no way better to explain it, us tutorial humans fall under system act 42. A law that was passed and won the worship of many humans which led to his promotion to become one of the Greater Gods." She explained this as if rehearsed, she's said this so many times that her hands painting the picture in front of me came to life more than any other explanation into anything I have ever received.
The questions from that God Stryker began to replay in my head. He had asked me how I had completed that 'legendary celestial dungeon'. Then the offended System tutorial formerly known as Tuts, who had followed up by making me into a 'Celestial Being'. What Dungeon? My monk was fighting in the normal tutorial dungeon. Did my Necromancer find another dungeon? Or maybe my monk found something hidden?
I realized I would go mad with wonder, and instead needed to trust my clones. Trust in myself, and I in the job of the three oversaw this village. Humans, that are apparently more than a normal human who are affected by time. I wondered if I could take advantage of this knowledge, but realized with how they had spoken it that it was common knowledge. So, much so that it was normal to attack these tutorial humans. They apparently were different. But I didn't see a difference, I saw honest fear and sadness. Then I experienced hope, the first time ever they felt hope when I came to their defense.
Well Even if they are just NPC's and honestly have no meaning to anything, I as a person still couldn't see myself doing anything close to what had happened to these people. If that makes me a criminal, then god damn it I'm going to be the best god damn criminal this tutorial has ever seen!
I immediately thought about how the criminals of earth, the legendary criminals had gained so much power before ultimately being shut down or ruling a country as the sole commander. With that thought the part where I had become a celestial being, this could perhaps could be something that I could use. I looked at one of my aids standing beside me as people walked all around.
"What is a celestial being?" I asked her, from which she quickly began to grow bright red.
"Um, sorry sir are you asking what you are?" She seemed to honestly be lost why I would ask such a strange question.
"Sure…" I stated a little heated for people looking at me like I was dumb.
"You are an immortal being chosen by the hidden god." She stated quietly as if afraid that I would hear what she would say.
"So, one second I'm just a human, the next I'm a celestial being?" I asked, hoping for more clarification on how strange I even thought it was.
"I don't understand sir… You've always been a celestial being?" she asked me nervously and looking around as if trying to find an escape.
Okay, so this was a flag. Apparently, me becoming a celestial being afforded me the only knowledge that just a second I wasn't one.
"Stats!" I nearly shouted.
