'Rescue Squad.

Tuesday 12:30 pm.

An emergency meeting was held in the Hokage's tower among the Hokage's three advisors.

The small room consisted of a square wooden table with four small red couches where they sat; Danzo, Homura, Koharu, and the Third Hokage who passed away.

The fourth couch was vacant for obvious reasons.

"Are you sure about that?" Kaharu was the first to ask one of the anbu from the secret organization known as the Root, who was reading the report.

"Yes, we received several of the same reports... Someone discreetly placed poison in their food and drink. After the poison took effect, several shinobi lost consciousness and continue to stay in the hospital so that their condition does not worsen."

Said the root anbu after holding a notebook in his hand and turning to the next page to continue his report.

"Before one shinobi fell asleep from the poison, he managed to stay awake for several minutes before he completely lost consciousness from the poison. He heard the voices of several shinobi leaving the village, but recognized the voice of the last heir of the Uchiha clan."

The anbu finished the report and turned the pages to those present, so they could see with their own eyes the reports of all the shinobi who woke up in the hospital and barely managed to say a few words about what happened.

Everyone in the room examined the reports for a few moments before thinking about what to do next.

"I think we know what we need to do." Danzó was the first to put the reports on the table to look at his companions.

"Who would have thought the last Uchiha would defect at such an inopportune time?" Homura said, annoyed with his companion Koharu agreeing with him.

"We continue to be in such a weak state due to the loss of our Hokage and more so because some Jounin are busy maintaining order within the village, missions or Jounin being used as a reserve in case of an enemy attack," Koharu spoke with regret.

Though, Homura and Koharu were thinking of some measures for this problem. Danzó was more than happy to see that Orochimaru's knowledge never failed, as he thinks like him and acts with discretion when embarking on a secret mission.

With a calm face, Danzo considered his next move.

"Due to the lack of shinobi in the village, I think this would be a good experience for the new Chunin of Konoha, and we can also ask for cooperation with the sand village to send a group of shinobi and enhance the alliance we will have in the future, thanks to the political marriage between the two villages." Danzó opined to the two advisors.

Koharu and Homura thought that Danzó's opinion was the most viable for this situation, so they discussed which Chunin they would choose as leader. The advisor's meeting ended after assigning the squad leader and waiting for him to choose the shinobi to accompany him on this B-ranked mission.

Koharu and Homura were the first to leave the room to look for Shikamaru Nara as squad leader. Although his promotion to Chunin had not yet been announced, he was already recognized as Chunin.

Danzó returned to his lair with complete peace of mind, knowing that his plan was going very well. He approached the wooden door which was guarded by two root anbu who greeted him respectfully.

Danzo walked for a few minutes down the dark hallway and finally came to a spacious room where a large portion of his anbu was gathered. The anbu only wear their white masks with designs of various animals to make themselves noticeable in the gloomy room, and the dim light made them visible.

Looking at the 15 anbu silently awaiting their upcoming missions, Danzo told those present.

"Sasuke's rescue mission is underway, I want 15 anbu to split in different directions to try to capture the successors of some clan leaders, while some anbu will capture Sasuke Uchiha and the other anbu will help capture the forces sent by Sunagakure... This mission cannot fail and anyone who gets in the way has to be eradicated immediately!!!!"

The Anbu do not question Danzo's orders, so they hide in the darkness to leave the place and go out to accomplish their mission like the hunting dogs they are.

Tuesday 1:00 pm.

While the anbu squad moved discreetly to the outskirts of the village. Homura and Koharu had already told the situation to the leader, who will take on the mission to rescue Sasuke and bring him back to Konoha.

At the great gates of Konoha, five shinobi gather to begin the mission.

"As some of you have already heard, this will be a rescue operation, so we will have to be in pursuit position at all times because the enemy has a big advantage over us," Shikamaru told them as he saw the faces of Sakura, Choji, Neji, and Shino.

Shikamaru would have liked to have more time to gather other shinobi, but the time was not right.

The four people who listened to Shikamaru's directions were waiting to hear what plan they would use on this mission, as Shikamaru was known for his intelligence, and it was obvious that he would have a plan.

"Designing a formation wasn't easy for me, but I think this formation will help us throughout the mission, considering I know a bit about everyone's abilities." Shikamaru expressed as he pulled out a blank scroll to explain the composition each person will have.

"Shino will lead the front line, as he is one of the best trackers on the team when using his bugs and the most familiar with the territories of the land of fire." Shikamaru.

Shino used one of his hands to adjust his glasses and say, "I regularly go out with my father to look at the borders of this country and on every outing, we have a few swarms of insects that settle all over the country. If our target is constantly on the move and passes near the swarm, that will make it easier to locate Sasuke."

"Good to know..." Shikamaru responded with surprise, as Shino is one of the quieter shinobi and this is the first time he has said a large number of words.

Shikamaru's surprise aside, he continued speaking.

"With your bugs looking for Sasuke's trail or an enemy, it will make things easier, and we will avoid surprise attacks. After Shino, I'll be second in composition. As the leader of this squad, it will be easier for me to make some signals to the people behind me.

Then Sakura will be next to Choji, as it is the perfect place for those who have strong defense and attack, Sakura has long and short-range attacks almost as strong as Choji's when using Haki and the fire element for some Ninjutsus. While Choji has a powerful short-range attack and good defense.

And finally, the last person is Neji who will be lurking in the rear and will use his byakugan to constantly scan the weak points of all the positions held by the team members.

The four shinobi shook their heads at Shikamaru's question.

"Let's go team." Shikamaru.

With everything planned by Shikamaru, the small team started moving in the last direction, Sasuke could go.

As she moved through the branches of the trees, Sakura didn't know what to think regarding Sasuke, as she always considered Sasuke as her main target, but when she saw the reality of things.

She wondered if what Sasuke was doing was the right thing or what she felt for him was real or just a simple girl's fantasy, so the clearest way to know the truth is to ask Sasuke directly and ask him how Sasuke feels for her.

Although that might cause something to snap inside Sakura.

Shikamaru's squad moved continuously for about an hour after Shino detected some strange movements with his insects that were trapped in spider webs.

However, that helped locate Sasuke because Shino had fought Sasuke in the Chunin exams and recognized the taste of Sasuke's chakra from his bugs.

As they moved through the trees, the five shinobi stopped when they noticed that as they ran in Sasuke's direction, the forest had many traps set to hinder movement.

"Looks like we're on the right path due to the number of traps they set," Neji said as he carefully walked over a wire that was easy to see.

"Yeah, but these traps are easy to spot, these ninjas seem to be in a hurry to get out of the land of fire," Shikamaru said as he dodged another strand of wire and avoided triggering a trap like everyone else.

"DON'T GO ANY FURTHER!!!" Sakura yelled at them as she noticed something strange about the traps.

All the teammates tensed up at the thought of a misstep and would explode at the sound of Sakura's voice.

Sakura took a full look around the perimeter and was sure that these traps were hidden more than it seems. She reached into her ninja bag to place five kunai in each hand that had a wire cable tied to it and stuck the kunai into two different trees.

The ten kunais were firmly nailed to the two different trees to create a horizontal line of wire where Sakura climbed as if it was second nature to her.

"¿¿¿¿????". X4

The four boys looked at her without understanding what Sakura was doing.

"Climb the rope, and you'll understand what I'm talking about," Sakura told them, holding in her hand two kinds of smoke bombs of different colors. One was blue and the other was yellow.

Sakura saw her teammates climbing on the metal cable with some difficulty to maintain stability, but that didn't stop their next actions.

She then threw the yellow smoke bomb into the sky, which exploded in the area.

"We need to move back a few meters!!!" Sakura told them as she jumped back and retreated a few meters out of range of the traps, using the wire cables as a foothold and jumping higher.

The thick screen of yellow smoke moved quickly across the ground and without waiting for the yellow smoke to disappear. Sakura threw the next blue smoke bomb, but from a safe distance to avoid being painted by the paint on the smoke.

With the blue smoke bomb, a chemical reaction took place in both clouds of smoke that came together so that they acquired a green color that gradually cleared from the place.

The green smoke disappeared in a short time, exposing small green wires all over the place.

The rescue team looked at Sakura in amazement and a little annoyed that I warned them too late, and some had a little green paint on their clothes.

"This is a three-wire trap that can be hard to detect with the naked eye, finding the three-wire strands requires a smokescreen that attaches to the rope," Sakura commented as she pointed to the three strands of green wire.

The four boys looked there were three wire strands of different thicknesses, the first one was easy to see, but the second one was too thin so that only shinobi specialized in traps could perceive them. However, the last wire was difficult to see, as it was underneath the second wire with a small distance.

The five people saw how the ground in front of them was filled with huge amounts of triple-wire traps.

"This is a four-point trap? Right!!!". Shikamaru was the first to speak of the group.

"You're right... These triple-strand traps are just a cover for the real trap." Sakura waved her hand at a tree a few meters away from them.

"The shinobi accompanying Sasuke is no ordinary shinobi." Sakura had a serious expression and continues to explain the type of trap they had in front of them.

"This trap needs an expert to place explosive seals at four different points to create a chain reaction of different explosive seals. The perimeter formed by the four points is chain-activated when the ninja is in the center of the perimeter."

"I had read a book my father gave me when I was a kid, but I never imagined this would be such an elaborate trap," Shino commented as he looked at the strands of wire.

"Normally you would have to go around this kind of trap or move very carefully around the area, but I don't think we have much time for that," Sakura said excitedly and without waiting for Shikamaru to give an order, she began to place two black leather gloves on her hands and throws ten shurikens around the place and then throw another ten shurikens in a completely different direction.

The shuriken flew with a fixed trajectory, but the second they approached a tree the shuriken collided with each other so that the trajectory was completely different.

The explosive seals activated and exploded in succession, causing massive destruction around the perimeter. The excess pressure caused inside the trap caused a loud noise that could be heard hundreds of meters away from the site.

The dust from the explosion blinded the team's sight for a few seconds, but Shikamaru, Neji, Shino, and Choji lost the color in their faces because of Sakura's recklessness that she didn't warn them about what she was about to do.

But none of the boys could think of saying anything to a girl like Sakura that she wouldn't care about people's opinions and would hit them hard if they angered her.

- Sakura is scary! -. The three boys thought at the same time, but the only one who didn't want to say a word, let alone think of something, was Neji with a slightly pale face when he saw the same technique Hinata used against him.

This caused him to be a little scared as he felt the intense pain caused by that terrible technique that made his skin crawl just trying to remember the intense pain he experienced that day.

"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING FOR?". Sakura said to them, as she was the only one who started to move, but she stopped at the top of the remains of a tree because she remembered that she had to be in the position she was given.
