Chapter 35: A Point Made

Staring at a woman splattered in blood, who was looming over Mika protectively while facing me, I bared my fangs, letting out a low growl. The scent of her blood had me on the edge of a frenzy, something that would do me no good here. Stopping to think for a moment, I took a deep breath and said through my teeth, “Mika is safe with me. I have been caring for her.”
Unfortunately, this woman was not a hunter, and so I couldn’t just tear her to pieces. Not to mention, Mika told me to not hurt her prior to passing out. She was in need of medical care right away, as was this woman, who had a few stab wounds leaking out blood. She stood her ground, however, protective of the other. The chaos was dying down, and Faction Dawn members were ushering the wounded to another part of the place. Given their faction ran it, they had a secret infirmary connected to this place in case things like this happened.
