"Hope I am not intruding?" Kaid asked, a playful glint in his eyes. He enjoyed watching Meliora squeeze her face and scowl—it made her look so cute to him.
"You know very well, so why do you ask?" Meliora grumbled, and Kaid burst out laughing, his voice like a serenade to Meliora's ears. Her heart raced, but it was merely for a second.
"I was invited here by Lady Vandet, the best person teaching you," he thundered as he twirled Meliora around, only for her to step on his toes when he pulled her in.
Meliora, as stubborn as ever, didn't even flinch at the fact that she stepped on him. She just gave him a small grin, acknowledging what she did.
"I know that very well. You are the only one capable of doing that, Kaid," she stressed the last words as if she was trying to make a point. He narrowed his eyes at her while she shrugged.
