[You shouldn't have played that game, Master] "Just shut up, Crucifix!" Elena Hartley, an AI Engineer, played a suspicious game until she breathed her last breath in her bathroom. Waking up in the body of Meliora, a character she hated in the game, she knew she was done for. Meliora, an abandoned princess, finally gets the opportunity to see the outside world but is sent to the enemy kingdom to participate in the king's concubine selection. Elena, now Meliora, with her AI robot by her side, must do everything she can to survive until she finds a way back to her world. After meeting the king, who disguised himself as the king's personal knight to help her, will she accept her fate and embrace a love she has never experienced before, or will she find a way to return to her world?
"I believe that would be all for today?" Meliora asked as she bowed gracefully with her knees bent. Vandet's eyes sparkled as she watched Meliora's actions, astonished.
"I can't believe you were able to learn this quickly. At this rate, in one week, you'll be done with your lessons faster than any commoner who ever sought to rise in ranks," Vandet said playfully, but Meliora took offense.
She pressed her lips into a thin line and narrowed her eyes at Vandet. The latter seemed to notice something off and looked into Meliora's eyes, only to be shocked. She clasped a hand over her lips.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way—"
"I know exactly what you mean, Lady Vandet. You can leave for today; I won't offer you tea and pastries," Meliora said grimly and quickly left the diner, her expression tight with anger. She didn't understand why she was called a commoner when she was a princess.
