"Just a moment." Percy Stanton said an apology into the phone and then covered the earpiece. He raised his head to look at Isabel Smith.
"Raymond asked me to get him some fruit juice. When I found it and came back, he was gone. The door of the living room was still open."
Percy frowned, tilted his head, said a few low words into the phone and then hung up. He stood up and hastily stepped out of the study. He checked every room in the house, but found no sign of Raymond. His expression turned somewhat grave.
"Percy, I am sorry. I shouldn't have left to get the fruit juice. If I stayed with him, he wouldn't have run off." Isabel could not describe exactly how she felt, only that it was as if her child had run away. "Percy, we should hurry and start searching for him. What if he encounters nasty people or danger…And so many vehicles in Bellshire City. What if he's crossing the road…"
