Isabel Smith quickly lifted her hand, wiped the corner of her eye, swallowed her saliva, and stabilized her emotions before speaking: "Please come in."
Then the door opened and a young female nurse with a friendly smile on her face walked in.
The nurse looked very gentle, her face slightly chubby, and her smile was especially comforting. Her voice was soft and tender: "Hello, the gentleman who just left your infirmary asked me to come here and take care of you. If you need any help, feel free to ask."
As the nurse spoke, she looked at the infusion bottle from which Isabel was receiving an intravenous drip. Seeing that there was still half a bottle of liquid left, she glanced at the words on the bottle and read them out word by word, "Isabel Smith?"
"Is that your name? It's lovely." The nurse obviously loved to smile; every time she finished a sentence, her eyes would curve, making others feel inexplicably better.
Isabel Smith hooked the corner of her lips and said, "Thank you."
