Chapter 62: Trials in the Eternaforest
Bayo's fingers lingered on the leather-bound cover as he closed the book, his mind already drifting to the impending trial in Eternaforest. The memory of his last encounter—a wild bull's horns barely missing his flesh—sent a shiver down his spine. "Ṣé mo ti ṣetan?" (Am I ready?) he muttered, wondering if he was truly prepared.
As the fifth night approached, Bayo settled onto the worn floorboards of his apartment, their creaks a familiar chorus. He closed his eyes, letting out a slow breath. "Jẹ́ kí ìdánwò yìí bẹ̀rẹ̀," (Let this trial begin) he whispered, willing the trial to commence.
