They stared at each other, not as friends nor enemies, just two students attending the same school with memories of each other. Blair had a peculiar look on her face while Cadmus tried to keep a neutral one on his. The air between them thickened, silence prevailing only to be broken by a, "Blair! Where are you?!"
It was Hershey. Blair yelled back, "I'm talking with someone!"
"Geez! Is there anyone more important than your best friend?"
That did it. Hershey swept Blair away, and Cadmus turned with a tight chest. This was for the best.
'How could I be more important than Hershey?'
They're no longer of inconvenience to each other. They're contented with their respective circles.
