After Si Chu changed into the clothes, Mingshu finally realized just how poor her embroidery skills were.
Before wearing them, it might not have been so obvious; she simply thought they were ugly.
There is a saying, "People rely on clothes, Buddhas on gold adornment."
These garments not only failed to enhance the wearer's aura, but they also lowered the overall attractiveness. Mingshu forgot to cinch the waist when she made it. The sleeves were uneven, one longer than the other, and the odd patterns on the clothes were supposed to be bamboo, its elegance and purity in line with Zi Zi's disposition.
But perhaps she was too hungry while embroidering; the finished product looked somewhat like chicken feet...
The wide robe hung on the body barely, like a sack.
Only Si Chu's handsome face saved the day; even in a sack, he wouldn't look too bad, but on an ordinary person, it would be a disaster.
