“He is the only one who had contact with the arsonist. I am not accusing him of anything. I just think he may have seen something that might prove useful in our search that he might not consider important.” I wasn’t fooled by his rational words.
Thankfully, neither was my mum. “Arsonist? You mean a rogue witch. Only a witch could have done this, there is no doubt about that. What is in doubt, Mr Heifer, is your intention. You led us to believe something very different about GrimRock, and now out of the blue, you claim that a magic older than yours exists in GrimRock? Do you take us for fools?”
Someone sucked in a sharp breath. “I do not appreciate what you are implying Luna,”
“And I do not appreciate your tone.”
“What does your son have to hide?”
