Chapter 89

Hanzo and 10 other Ninja's had snuck into the City. Their main objective was to rescue the Messenger, while their secondary objectives were the assassination of some people located around the city.

Some of those people are key commander's for the Lannister army or a Noble of the Lannister household.

8 of the Ninja split off to take care of the secondary objectives, while Hanzo and the remaining two ninja's went to the Red Keep, to rescue the messenger.

In the street's of KIngslanding the people were walking around going about their business, often talking about the food shortage that the city was facing and the army that was outside.

Over the last few years, the Royal family has been neglecting the people, taking the food for themselves while leaving the people to starve. It had gotten worse during the war since many people fled to Kingslanding causing the population to increase.

And with that increase came with more people starving. Because of this, Cersei had closed the gates to the people causing some people had fled to other places, mostly to the Reach territory.

But even so, the people in Kingslanding still suffered until Margaery had arrived in the city with lots of food for the people. But that food didn't last long, as most of it was used at the feast for Joffrey's marriage to Margaery.

Because of this, the food shortage problem was only solved for a year before they ran out of food and the people begin starving once again.

So when the Imperial army started sieging the city, many had secretly hoped that the Royal Army would lose so that the Imperial army would take over, so their lives will start to improve. They knew this because besides the fact that the Imperial army was a foreign army, the Emperor had a good reputation amongst the people in Westeros since travelers who went to Essos came back with tales

saying how the Empire never runs out of food and care's for the common people. These tales spread across the land, even causing some people to move to Essos in search of a new life.

Bennar Broom was a 17-year-old boy who came to Kingslanding with his little sister in search for a new life, but that new life that he wanted never came, and now he and his sister were wondering the street's of Kingslanding homeless and starving.

Their mother and father had both died after their village was attacked by a Bandit Gang, so now it was only him and his sister.

And today was just like all his other day's as he went around the city hoping to find some type of food for him and his sister, but there was none. The Royal family had started giving out food in order to maintain order, but that food wasn't enough for the entire city.

Bennar was walking through the city with his sister on his shoulder as she was sick, so her body was weak. As he sat her down, so she can rest, he saw a shadow move across the rooftops.

After getting putting his sister down, he had got closer look but didn't see anything and thought that it was his mind playing a trick because of his hunger 'Now I'm hallucinating, I need to find us food quick' Thought Bennar.

But still he didn't know where to get food until he heard people start running, saying that the Royal family was giving out food nearby.

He rushed to follow the people to a wagon which had 4 Lannister soldier's throwing food into the crowd of people. But just looking at the crowd of people, he knew he didn't have a chance at getting anything, but he would still try no matter what.

While this was going on, Hanzo had successfully snuck into the Castle and begin making his way to the Dungeon's where the Messenger was being held. He already killed two guards who were guarding a section of the hallway.

He hid their bodies in a discrete place where they won't be found anytime soon. The next set of guards were guarding the door leading down to the dungeon's. So he gave the signal to another ninja, and at the same time they took out the two guards and dragged their bodies to another room.

After hiding the bodies, Hanzo proceeded through the door and headed downstairs to the dungeon. But Hanzo felt something was off, since it was a little too easy for him to sneak into the dungeon.

Once he finally made it down the stairs, it was pure darkness, and he could barely see anything. He didn't have an ability that would allow him to see in the dark, so he had another ninja sneak upstairs and get a torch so that he can find the Messenger.

After getting the torch, it didn't take long for Hanzo to find the messenger tied up and unconscious. He handed the torch to the other ninja while he untied the messenger, who remained unconscious.

After he untied him, he threw him over his shoulder and proceeded upstairs. But the Ninja who was watching the door had told him that the bodies of the guards they killed before had been, and now the entire castle being swarmed with guards.

Hanzo wanted to hurry and get out of the castle, so he rushed out the door, only to be met with a group of guards who instantly noticed them.

Hanzo immediately acted and threw a smoke bomb on the ground, obscuring their vision as he rushed pass them, while the other two ninja took advantage of the situation and eliminated the guards while they were blinded from the smoke.

Hanzo went into one of the rooms which had a window leading outside towards the wall of the Castle, so he broke the window and jumped out of it. He landed on the Castle wall, which caught the attention of the guards, who started chasing him.

But He jumped off the castle wall and landed in the city where he jumped from rooftop to rooftop getting farther away from the castle.

The Guards seeing this didn't event think to pursue him since it was useless, so instead they just locked down the city to prevent them from leaving the city.

Hanzo had fled to one of the Imperial safe houses that was located inside the city and stayed there until things calm down.
