Building A New World

Every monster species has a powerful essence they draw from for strength. It comes from a primordial force dormant in their bodies that allowed their ancestors to rival the demon clans throughout the dark ages. Long ago they were completely controlled by these primordial instincts. They would fight among the other species over land or human mates. As time went on the demon clans began to feel threatened by the increased number of monster species appearing around the world. Worried they would one day be overwhelmed the demons took action. The demons began to oppress humanity and culled their numbers as much as possible. When the other species saw this they began forming factions to engage the demons. The result was a constant war waged among the lands. Humans scattered across the world trying to find places to avoid their extinction. Some humans found sanctuary in the elven cities hidden within the forest. Seeing them on the verge of extinction elves taught humans magic to protect themselves, but it wasn't enough. These battles plaguing the earth caused the angels to descend to protect humanity. As the demons, and angels clashed it almost broke the world. This led to a ceasefire, and a treaty was established. The world was rebuilt into a new landmass for the survivors that remained. This event came to be known as the first dark age and occurred over a thousand years ago. Since then three more dark ages have plagued the land. Due to this history, many humans consider these monster species to be evil, and it's why so many conflicts exist today. This story follows a young Nephilim named a century after the fourth dark age. After a tragic loss, Zack has had problems of opening up to others. Because of this, he's traveled alone for the past two years, but one day he meets a demon that changes everything. --- https://discord.gg/8zjAdmNtHB Has polls that involve the story, character list, the R-rated scenes marked, and a full-size pic of the cover.

Chapter 140

While they were showing Ozen around the grounds people were stopping to stare. Some of them knew who he was, and seeing such a prominent figure walking around made some of them uneasy. That was until the children ran up surrounding Zack's group to talk with Lilith and the others.

Ozen looked around seeing the people living so peacefully and had a smile across his face. This put some of them at ease, but they still watched carefully at a distance.

"So this is your papa?" Tanya asked with a smile.

"Yes it is, and this is my sister." Lilith smiled.

"I thought you weren't good with children." Morrigan snickered.

"This place seems to have changed you quite a bit. It's also nice seeing you're not the only demon around." Ozen stated while glancing around.

"Lord Ozen I didn't expect to see you here," Merrick said while lowering his head.

"You're one of the deserters from Blackreach aren't you." Ozen examined Merrick.

"Y-yes. We could no longer serve under a man like Azazel. We will accept any punishment you deem just." Merrick replied.

"Smart choice on coming here. I never liked that bastard Azazel anyway. Such a prominent name in our culture wasted on a coward like him that hides behind his wealth. Don't worry you will face no repercussions." Ozen replied.

"Plus he has no authority to punish anyone here, and is to be considered the same as everyone else right?" Lilith stated glaring at her father.

Ozen smiled patting Lilith on the head.

"You remind me so much of your mother you know that." Ozen laughed as Lilith smacked his hand away.

Lilith just pouted and looked away. That was when Lilith saw her companions smirking at her.

"Truly a spoiled princess." Kaya teased.

"She always has been," Morrigan smirked.

"I think one of the voices was Kaya but I need you to step forward to be sure. It's easy to miss a plank after all." Lilith taunted before turning to her sister.

"You don't have any room about someone being spoiled either. For the last twenty years, I thought you were an extension of father's backside." Lilith retorted.

"What did you call me!"Kaya was struggling to break free from Ren's grip

"Oh, so it was you," Lilith smirked.

Kaya reached back tickling Ren's weakness breaking free from her grip. Kaya dashed at Lilith retrieving her bow while firing a few shots. Lilith smirked forming her bident knocking them away with ease. Zack with a simple wave halted them both in place as holy chains sprouted from the ground. Sentries nearby observed the situation with their weapons at the ready.

"You two are literarily within jumping distance of the training grounds. Do I need to remind you two about proper behavior in public?" Zack asked while lighting trickled on his fingers.

"N-no." Kaya replied with an embarrassed expression.

"I think you do." Lilith declared with a lecherous smirk.

Olivia was walking up from behind Lilith glancing at Zack. He nodded at Olivia as she retrieved a bucket of freezing water to toss over Lilith. The lecherous gaze was rapidly replaced with a deep gasp and shivering.

"Wh-what was that for?" Lilith shouted looking back to see Olivia smiling.

"Master's orders. You told me to obey him above all else my lady." Olivia bowed.

Zack walked up hugging Lilith as he helped warm her with his magic.

"That seems to be the only effective way to snap you out of that, and your family is right there," Zack whispered.

"Okay but you're making it up to me," Lilith replied kissing him.

Zack could sense Kaya pouting as he reappeared behind her.

"Feeling left out?" Zack asked wrapping his arm around Kaya's waist.

"You seem to be getting better at using your abilities. I prefer the results be shown during training or battle though." Naomi declared.

"Speaking of abilities his wings pierced my body sharper than any blade I've encountered," Zack said in a serious tone.

"That's to be expected. Have you not experienced proper training?" Samuel asked.

"In my current state, I can only guide him through the techniques," Namoi stated.

"Lauren taught me a lot but never anything like that," Zack replied.

Naomi heard the name Lauren and was stunned. Namoi had no idea that was the angel who helped Zack. Lauren was a prodigy of the new generation and reported finding a new angel during her duties as a sentinel. She was supposed to gather intel, and lure Zack to the others.

Lauren didn't expect to fall for Zack, and never went through on the plan. She instead taught Zack how to avoid detection, and returned claiming to have killed him. No one even considered the angel she found was a Nephilim. After Lauren took on a mission to scout enemy territory but it was a cover to spend time with Zack.

"Come on then," Samuel suggested walking towards a training field.

"That area couldn't withstand it properly," Zack replied as his wings appeared, and took off towards the arena.

Samuel and Ozen followed behind him as people began rushing to the arena. Most of them have yet to see Zack fight, and for the first match to be against another angel no less. Ozen landed in the stands taking a seat with his daughters watching carefully. Ozen was trying to sense any sort of power from Zack but found nothing.

Once Samuel was in the arena he dashed towards Zack at full speed. Zack lifted his hand launching a powerful blast of flames in his direction. Samuel shifted his weight spinning rapidly with his wings wrapped around his torso withstanding the blast.

When Samuel was before Zack his wings rapidly unfurled as a shockwave of power was unleashed. Zack was forced off-balance disrupting the flow of his magic. The two matched a blow that caused a massive shockwave causing the engravings on the arena to illuminate.

Samuel smirked as his right wing was attempting to cut across Zack's chest. Before the strike could land a powerful beam launched from Zack's hand into Samuel's stomach launching him back to the desert region encasing him in the sand.

Zack formed his orbs as he dashed towards the desert, but before he could attack chaos began to break through the sand in various spots in the desert. The little trickles of chaos rapidly turned to pillars of destruction. Zack was having to dedicate all his focus to dodging the attacks.

The attacks started circling around Zack cornering him forcing him to teleport. He narrowly dodged the attack as Samuel appeared behind him knocking him into the sand. He extended his hand launching a beam of chaos towards Zack.

Zack claimed his mind preparing a holy blast in his hand as three orbs swirled around it. The chaos was about the engulf Zack when a beam of gold light filled the arena. Samuel struggled to halt the blast as he began flying towards the edge of the barrier. Zack appeared behind him knocking him down with both hands deep into the lake. All the orbs returned to Zack's side as one launched after Samuel.

'If I wanna beat Malachi I can't just rely on the usual attacks. The orbs can do more I know it.'

Zack closed his eyes forming one from the earth, and then extended his hand to the one in the water. Samuel was preparing to launch out of the lake as a holy orb flew his direction He was preparing to defend against the attack but his body couldn't move.

Glancing at the orb Samuel could see the water swirling around it violently as the golden light faded, and the water went still. The orb flew towards Samuel and rapidly lifted him out of the lake.

'How is this possible? Not even the bottom of the sea possesses this much pressure.'

"How can he restrict him such little water?" Ozen asked while observing closely.

"Those orbs are unique. Among all the angels I've never witnessed anything like that. So far I've witnessed two of them morph but this one is new." Naomi replied.

Zack dashed towards Samuel preparing to strike when chaos erupted all around Samuel as it rapidly filled the arena. The spectators could see the two colors fighting for dominance in the arena. The Enochian warding began glowing as the arena's durability was truly put to the test. Ozen was amazed to see it withstanding the forces.

The crowd was uneasy seeing the arena light up but after it subsided they could see Samuel and Zack exchanging blows. After a while, the only way the crowd could watch the fight was with the monitor. The two were moving so fast only Ozen, and Naomi could keep up with their movements naturally.

Comprehending this caliber of a fight wouldn't be possible without Eden's arena. Everyone began cheering wildly watching the two locked together hand and hand in a contest of strength. Both of them were using their wings to push forward, and as the two struggled a whirlwind swirled violently around them.
