"channel it to your hand first and hold it".
Alex instructed, demonstrating the Lightning-covered hand to Eris.
she tried and succeeded, partially, she couldn't hold it for long enough.
"that's hard, and it hurts, how do you do it for so long?".
she asked while casting a healing spell, and shaking her hand to disperse the pain.
"you dont cover your hand with a layer of mana...?".
he asked, tilting his hand in confusion because he remembers that being the first thing he told her.
"you cover you hand with mana?".
she questions, clearly confused, furrowing her brows.
___
"so what are you doing today?".
Asked Eris after finishing their training session.
they were walking out of the training rooms that were provided by the school.
"I have nothing to do since im taking a break, that means I can do anything".
he answered with a shrug, turning a corner.
"Excuse me".
said a boy about their age, with brown hair, wearing a white uniform and a sword strapped to his waist.
both looked at him, Eris with curiousness and Alex with annoyance, recognizing him.
"my name is Luke notos grayrat, may I have the honor of knowing your name?".
Luke asked, reaching for the hand of Eris wanting to kiss it.
before he could do it though, Alex grabbed his hand, twisted it just enough for it to hurt but not snap.
"Alex grayrat, King rank in sword god style, and number five in the Worldly powers, nice to meet you too Luke".
he hissed out, getting a wide-eyed look from the poor soul who almost pissed his pants, because of the glare that was sent his way.
grabbing Eris by the waist, he picks her up, and walks off, leaving a bewildered group behind.
"A-Alex could you let me go?".
asked Eris, Alex couldn't see her face but he could imagine her face all red. it was cute.
looking around the empty hallway, he opened a door to an empty classroom and walked in, closing the door behind him.
Alex got Eris off his shoulder and put her on her feet in front of him.
"you're too pretty for your good, you know that right?".
he asked, a little agitated at the situation, Luke was the last straw, the past month almost every fifth male student asked her for her name, and he always had to hold himself back from freezing the bastards into place.
"and what's it to you?".
she returned the glare full force, why was he blaming her? not like she wanted those nobles to come any more than he did.
Alex narrowed his eyes, he knew he was being unreasonable, it wasn't her fault, but he liked her, so why doesn't he just tell her, he liked her for more than three years now, ever since she walked into the dojo.
"if you don't like it just push me away".
he warned as he got closer and closer, it didn't look like he was going to stop.
at first, Eris was confused by what he meant but got flustered when he didn't stop lowering his head.
as the gap between their head closed steadily, their lips met, and time stood still.
it took Eris a few seconds to snap back to reality but when she did, her hands snaked around his neck bringing him closer as he wrapped his hands around her thin waist and held her tighter.
the moment was disturbed when a slight gasp was heard from the door.
(the door? when did that open?).
braking away, both of them looked over to see one stunt princess and her two bodyguards.
(kill them, threaten them, freeze them, they ruined the moment).
with a twitching eyebrow, Alex started speaking.
"can we help you?".
the princess chuckled and Sylfy got a slight blush on her cheeks, before recomposing themselves, but luke still looked on with wide eyes.
"excuse us, but we have our next class here, so...".
she trailed off, letting the two connect the dots, Alex huffed indignantly and Eris remained silent, still flushed red.
___
"shouldn't you be, you know learning new spells?".
asked Sylfy, handing Alex a book.
"I'm the best sword god style user, but you can also say that I'm the best in magic, I use spells differently, and my mana is denser than any other, so if Rudeus and I cast the same spell, mine will be a rank stronger".
he explained shortly not looking at the elf, who just raised an eyebrow.
"you're still mad about yesterday aren't you?".
she questioned, flipping through a new book she took from a shelf.
"I have no idea what you're talking about".
he said evenly, flipping a page, he was finishing the intermediate rank summoning circles, and his end goal was to turn it into a spell.
Sylfy pouted but didn't say anything.
"So when are you planning to tell him? I can keep it a secret, but you will have to reveal yourself sooner or later".
Alex pointed out but only got a sigh in response.
"I know, but I enjoy the friendship we have now, but I'm afraid he forgot about Sylfy and only sees me as Fitts".
she explained in a sad tone, as she sat down across from him.
"oh, he remembers you alright, we have been looking for you and Zenith for the past three years, so yes, you should reveal yourself".
he said offhandedly, snickering at her dumbfounded expression.
"I wish I could somehow save his expression when he actually figures it out, it would be priceless".
now he wished he would know how to make cameras.
