Chapter 34: Wedding Gifts
Ruby was confused. “You say he never mentioned his name?” she asked Joshua.
“No. He said that he wanted to surprise you,” Joshua replied.
Could it be Ferrel? Ruby wondered. But then he had already confirmed that he would try his best to be at the wedding with her. Besides, he had her phone number now, so he would not phone the recording studios.
Claude might try to get in touch with her, although he would rather have contacted her family to ask them for her new phone number.
In Ruby’s opinion, Severin was not a likely suspect, because he had stopped bothering her for the past two months and besides, he had a new baby at home to keep him occupied.
Could it perhaps be Leroy, because he would not feel free to ask her family members for her new number? Leroy had not been welcome at Ruby’s home ever since he had cheated on her at high school.
