44 : Distrust, Distress, Disquiet and Desire

It's been seven years since Gordon was married. He dated the guy for twelve years. His husband, Yuto, was kind and caring.

Gordon met him in his college years. Yuto and him both became friends through Thomas - Gordon's best friend - and they started dating each other during then. They decided to married after five years of dating.

Yuto was working in a big hospital compared to Gordon. Just like Gordon, he was a beta. He was handsome with his short straight blonde hair and his light blue eyes. He had a great personality and was much more tougher than Gordon. He was two years older than Gordon and people would sometimes confond him with alphas because he was taller than average betas and he had a strong build.

Yuto would spent most of his time in the main city where he was working. He would come home during the weekend and during his holidays. Sometimes, he would ask Gordon to come and they spend the week together.

So today, Gordon decided to visit his man. Compared to other betas and alphas, Gordon was the shy type and really romantic. That's why he was happy he had found Yuto. The man was treating him well and wasn't too pushy about the fact that Gordon was working in the country side of the town.

After four hours on bus and thirty minutes on a taxi, Gordon arrived in front of Yuto's building.

He was excited to see his man after a month. So he processed to reach the apartment.

He entered the code and opened the door only to find the place deep in the dark.

Gordon sighed. It was 6pm to his watch. Yuto was probably still at work.

Gordon switched on the light and started to clean the place and put the food he brought in the fridge.

After five hours of waiting, Gordon thought maybe Yuto was working. So he decided to go visit his sister, Gisele, to the SS Club since he promised her yesterday to come see her tomorrow.

He was about to go when his phone rang, showing his husband's name with two drawing's heart next to it.

Gordon smiled and answered happily.

" - Babe," said Yuto with his soft low voice.

He seemed tired.

" - Hum… You didn't call me today." Gordon said.

He didn't tell Yuto he was coming today so he will keep it a secret until he will be back later.

" - Yeah, I was sick. I couldn't talk until this afternoon. My throat was too dry," Yuto said while coughing.

" - Don't forget to take some medecine and to rest ! I know you're a surgeon yourself but you have to take care of yourself to be able to save lives !" Gordon said, worried.

" - I know," Yuto chuckled. " I'm about to sleep so I thought I should call you before. "

Gordon heard whispering and shuffling noises behind Yuto. He wouldn't be able to sleep with his colleagues roaming around.

" - Don't sleep in the hospital," Gordon sighed.

" - Don't worry. I'm home."

Gordon's heart skipped a beat. He looked around Yuto's quiet apartment.

" - You're… home ?" Gordon asked, frowning.

" - Yeah. I called for sick today so I didn't go to work. I spent the day in my bed," Yuto assured as he coughed.

" - But… I heard someone behind you. I thought you were at work. " Gordon said while tightening his grip around his phone.

" - Yeah, it's the TV." Yuto replied swiftly.

Gordon's eyes were staring at the dark television screen in front him.

" - I see…" Gordon said.

" - How about you ? Your day ?" Yuto asked.

" - I… I… helped the local children. As always," Gordon answered without much thoughts.

" - Hum… How are they ?"

Gordon was about to reply when he heard a whisper again and his husband chuckled softly. His heart sank further.

" - Why… why are you laughing ?" Gordon asked weakly.

" - Oh ? The show I'm watching is funny !" Yuto said.

" - Oh…"

" - Babe. The medecine is kicking. I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow in the morning."

" - Hum…" Gordon replied while holding all the questions he had. " Good night."

" - I love you," Yuto said.

" - Yeah. I love you too…"

And Yuto hung up.

Gordon stayed there on the couch for at least ten minutes before he decided to go to Gisele.

Haru was sitting on the hospital bed in the OBGY section. Pam had finished to examined her and now she was reading something on her computer.

Next to Haru, Mila and Aaron were playing silently.

Haru couldn't help but smile. He was envious of them.

" - Everything is alright," Pam said. " No abnormality though we need to keep you in watch."

Pam crossed her fingers on her desk and planted her eyes on Haru's.

" - If you want to terminate the pregnancy, I can scheduled the surgery for next week. What do you say ?" She said.

" - Shouldn't you convince him to keep the baby ?" Mila frowned towards her wife.

Pam sighed.

" - It's Haru's decision," she jus said knowing she can't win an argument with Mila.

" - And your brother's too !" Mila exclaimed.

Haru clenched his clothes when he heard the alpha's name.

" - What are you afraid of ?" Mila asked the Omega. " Aki is in love with you. He wants to marry you and live with your for the rest of his life ! I know this man for years and he's not the type to lie," Mila said.

Haru knew that Mila was right. Akihito had never lied to him and he took great care of him. But Haru was afraid.

Silas wanted to marry him too and bring him a great life but Haru had lived in hell.

Haru knew that Akihito and Silas were different but they were both alphas. And Haru couldn't help but doubt the man.

Before Aki told him to stop the pregnancy, Haru's rather do it but he… wanted the baby. If it's his last chance to have one, he should have it, right ?

Moreover, knowing that the baby was his and Akihito's was making him happy too.

" - Talk to him," Pam sighed.

" - I… I'm afraid…" Haru whispered.

" - My brother isn't the type to be angry with the one he loves. But he might scold you if he knows that you tried to terminate the pregnancy without his opinions. " Pam explained. " Talk to him. I promise you he will listen… And you know it too. You're my brother's weakness. "

" - President Taha, Miss Legrand is on the phone."

" - Decline it." Hassan replied without looking to his secretary.

" - Yes sir."

Almost two month had passed now since the gala. At first, Hassan was angry. So angry that he wanted to destroy everything.

He felt dumb. How could he not notice that his own fiancée was in love with his friend ? How could he not see that they were fooling around behind his back ?

Hassan did love Aurore. She was different… at least that was what he thought. But now, he seemed to not know her at all.

Two weeks after the gala, Aurore had finally called him to break off the engagement. But she didn't want to meet him, saying she didn't want to hurt Arnold anymore.

So in his fury, he asked his mom's private detective to find Arnold's address and what he found was… unbelievable.

His body reacted as soon as he lay his eyes on the omega.

Florence. This boy he tried to save five years ago but he marked him in his drunk state. His heart started to pound as if he found his treasure and he knew that Florence was his.

The omega was his. He marked Florence that night and before he could comeback to himself, the omega was already nowhere to be found.

Hassan never tried to find Florence and he never told anyone that he bit Florence's nape. The only person who knew about his secret was this bitchy Karen. And for some reasons, she never told about it to Arnold. Karen was obsessed with the latter. After the incident with Florence, she told Arnold that she tried to save the omega from Hassan and his friends but she couldn't. And her boyfriend - more like fuck buddy - from that time also confirmed her words. Since then, Arnold was cold towards Hassan.

Hassan sighed. Aurore was calling him since yesterday. He didn't want to talk to her. He only had Florence in his mind. He wanted to talk to the omega to let him know he was sorry and to… maybe become friends again.

Now that Hassan was thinking, why Florence was at Arnold's house. Did Florence still be in love with Arnold ? Did the omega know that Arnold was sleeping right to left ?

Hassan wanted to bring the omega out of Arnold's house. The man might be respected in the business world but he was a real asshole just like him.

" - Miss Cole, come here." Hassan called his secretary.

The woman entered the room with a heavy sigh.

" - Just block Aurore. Instead go buy a bouquet of flowers for me." He said.

" - May I ask for whom sir ?" Miss Cole asked while writing her boss' order in her notebook.

" - For… my fr… my mate," Hassan said with a soft smile.

Miss Cole was surprised but she didn't let it appear on her face. It was the first time she saw Hassan like that, as if he was in peace.

Dana pulled up her skirt a little to let the clothes expose her long legs and her sexy thighs. She put on her red lipstick again and opened up the first button of her black shirt.

Because Satoh wanted to keep an eye on the project going on between Silas and the Ogatas, Satoh assigned his secretary - Dana - to work under her brother until the projects' plan were finished.

Dana was rather happy. She didn't like to work for Silas, but staying in the same office that Akihito was a pure bliss to her.

She thought long and long how to seduce the man. She had noticed that she was the most beautiful secretary in the building and probably the sexiest woman of this work place.

Akihito was known to be cold towards others though he was still polite. Dana was sure the man will be hers one day.

She was tired to fake her moans with Satoh and she hated to have the man in her. Plus she had nothing to gain with Satoh Kanzaki now that the man was a father. She was just his bitch now and it wasn't what she had in mind when she started to sleep with him.

So now, she was targeting the big tycoon Akihito Ogata.

She knocked on the door before entering the room where Silas and Akihito were discussing. She sat next to Silas, crossing her legs very slowly to let Akihito see her see-through black string.

But to her disappointment the man wasn't looking at her. His eyes were focused on the file in his hands. Beside him, Zaizen was typing on a laptop.

Dana rolled her eyes but she opened her own files to work.

Now that she was observing, she was surrounding by handsome men. Yes. She hated Silas, but the man was ten times more good-looking than his older brother, Satoh. Dana just couldn't stand his pathetic state. He was a real loser compared to his brother and she didn't want to console him (Silas) everytimes he would screw up his work.

Zaizen, Akihito's secretary and right hand, was really sexy. A manly alpha, oosing maturity and virility. Dana asked herself how did he make love. Would he still be this cold towards his partner ? But even if she wanted to sleep with the man, she didn't want to date someone poor and a secretary just like her was a big no.

Her target was Akihito.

" - This file needs the administration approval," Zaizen said to Akihito. " And the contract needs to be revised a third time by the Team 2 just in case we forgot something."

" - Hum… How about the staff recrutement ?" Akihito asked to Dana while looking at her this time.

She swiftly changed her position to let him see her panties again. This time, it worked but Akihito didn't react. Dana didn't lost hope. She bended down a bit to let her chest in all eyes.

Silas was so used to her dirty way that he'd rather let her do what she wanted than scolding her to stand properly. She would not listen to him anyway. Though he was in a higher status, Dana treated him like an bug that was polluting her air.

" - We made a list of applicants that correspond to our expectations. We could process to the hiring tomorrow during interviews." She explained without missing to let her chest in plain sight.

Akihito sighed internally. He wanted to fire her right now but she wasn't his employee plus she might be useful some day to crush Satoh and Silas. So he had to put up with her disgusting behavior for the time being.

" - Good," Akihito said. " Zaizen and you will be in charge of the recruitments. Silas, I hope you can handle the insurance part. I will make a visit to the site tomorrow and discuss the plan with builders."

" - Sure," Silas replied.

" - Yes sir," Dana and Zaizen answered at the same time.

" - You can go." Akihito said as he walked back to his desk.

Dana waited that the office was empty to bring Akihito a cup of coffee.

" - Thank you," Akihito said, eyeing the hot cup without taking a sip.

" - I think it would be meaningful if you assist the interviewer tomorrow." Dana said.

Akihito settled down on his seat, while crossing his fingers and observing Dana.

The young woman blushed hard while tucking her hair behind her ear.

If Akihito was going to be on the site tomorrow, that meant she wouldn't be able to see him and then it will be the weekend and she would not see him for three days. She didn't want that. So she thought that she should suggest him to be there with her tomorrow. So she will be able to spend the morning with him and maybe they would eat together if she played her cards well. This type of manipulation was her best asset. She had been manipulating Satoh like that for years.

" - Zaizen could handle the site and I think people will be more motivated if the president himself is there to interview them," Dana said confidently, though she was still blushing.

Akihito did not answer right away. He was staring at her, making Dana excited by his hot gaze. Little did she know that the man was despising her in his head. He was thinking about his little Omega at home and he wanted to go home to cuddle with him and kiss him.

" - I don't remember asking for your opinion," Akihito said to the woman as he stood up.

Dana's heart skipped a beat and she bowed her head, apologizing for her rudeness.

" - Just do your work," Akihito said while putting his coat.

" - Yes sir…"

Dana let out a breath when the man was out of the office. She was sure he would fall for it. But even though he was stern with her, she was more eager to have him. Akihito was a real alpha. The type to not let anyone dominate him. Not like Satoh who would do whatever Dana wanted.

Dana smiled while thinking about Akihito pinning her on his desk while devouring her. She felt hot. This man was going to be hers soon. Anyhow, she will do everything to have him.
