WANTED, ALIVE NOT DEAD

"Goodnight Titus."Catherine said as Titus gently placed her on the bed.

"Goodnight, Cathy."He responded.

He lay on the carpet right before it got lifted above the floor, making an entire bed.

He looked at his girlfriend who had her arm stretched, then smiled and kissed it.

Catherine had learned a new skill which used a Teleporter's mastery of the three spacial dimensions to orient any particle or possibly wave in any position on the X, Y or even Z axis, aka she could change the shape, arrangement and form or anything around her.

She learned this skill from her older sister, who made up a form of this skill with the three time dimensions, then Catherine followed her footsteps to go on to space.

They didn't get to sleep much when they heard Catherine's parents arguing... again.

They both teleported to the room, staying in the Space between spaces, where Curtis couldn't sense them, and listened to the echo of their voices... toothpaste?!

"So let me get this straight, you two were fighting over who squeezed the toothpaste from the middle?"I asked when I arrived.

Alexa didn't even allow Curtis to speak before heaping every burden on his shoulders, she complained about every little detail which I myself did in excess, yet Anneliese beared.

I stood and listened to her then when she finished...her first round, I asked,"This is about Trevor, isn't it?"

"What are you talking about?"She asked.

"You have done this before, to Trevor... about Alex and you might be doing it again."

"What are you talking about? I'm totally over that."

Curtis just walked out of the room but she didn't even bother to stop him as I continued,"You are far from over that, Alexa, you're my little sister and I know a lot about you, even when you hide it from yourself, you may have forgiven Curtis for what he did, but you haven't forgotten and it has remained in your heart, changing from pain and sorrow to hate and remorse, Alexa, you build an exceptionally strong emotional attachment with everyone close to you..."

"And is that wrong?"She asked.

"On its own, no, but if you let it interfere with, if not shake the foundations of your other relationship, then you may have a problem."

I wiped the tears on her cheek without her even knowing it was there, then she burst into tears, this was so familiar.

I told her to go and patch things up with her husband but...he wasn't there, well he was, actually it was a mindless clone, he was gone...

Alex woke up abruptly then ran out of the room and Ama followed him, to see him checking on the sleeping baby.

She asked what was wrong then he said,"He missed a breath, I think he may be having sleep apnea."

"Alex..."Ama said,"...the baby is fine."

"How would you know?"He asked, urgently.

"Because you just cured him of his asthma, three hours ago."

Alex looked at the sleeping child, still a little bit worried, he had barely acted like he had been removed from his crib.

Ama gently placed her hand on his arm then said,"You don't have to worry so much, you will be a wonderful father to him."

He slowly placed the child down, still sensing everywhere to make the split second choice if a portal were to open, none did, all around the continent and that was weird, Alex couldn't sleep anymore because he was so suspicious.

He used his light to place Ama into a deep sleep and brought the baby into their room, where he stood with it in his arms, protecting both the child and his wife.

Anneliese walked towards me, seeing the worried expression on my face, she already knew what was wrong...

"...and you..."She began.

"...have no idea where he went."I continued.

Catherine materialized right besides her mother with tears in her eyes, then Alexa asked,"What's wrong sweetie?"

"Daddy wants to make a literal deal with the devil, he went to death and life!"

"What? Why?"I asked when I was told.

"I don't know."Catherine said.

"I think I know."Titus said.

We all looked at him which struck fear into his heart, but he calmed down then said,"He wants death to take his life so life may bring Trevor back, he has caused enough trouble."

Alexa frowned at him but he continued,"That's what he said."

Anneliese asked me,"Is that allowed?"

"We have no idea what they could do to him."I said,"We have to go..."

"No..."Alexa said,"...we have to."

She brought the five children together and I went closer to ask if she had finally resorted to drinking but, with a frown, she kicked me in the shin then said,"No, I caused this mess and I'm going to fix it."

"You don't have to do this alone, it's too dangerous."Anneliese pleaded.

"No, let her go..."I begged,"... before she kicks me again."

Yet she did kick me again...in the unmentionables.

With a flash, they were gone and I looked at Anneliese with puppy dog eyes then she asked,"Why does she get a matured man like that when I'm stuck with you?"

"Because I'm irresistibly charming and you couldn't escape my love spell."I said, with a charming smirk.

She kicked me too then walked away, so I wouldn't sense her heart racing, but she knew I did as I laughed through the pain.

"Are you sure this is what you want?"The girl asked.

Before he could speak, Curtis was knocked down by a harpoon like object then looked up to see Alexa hugging him tightly, begging him not to do it.

"But I thought you wanted Trevor back."He said.

"I do, but...I want you more, I love you Curtis and I know I haven't been showing it enough lately but it's true, please don't do this."She begged.

The children came, and when he saw their tears, all of theirs...

"I've decided to stay."Curtis said.

"You dare defy me?!"Death yelled.

"Death, sit down."Life said.

She grumpily sat down while murmuring,"It wasn't his time anyway."

Life looked at the family then said,"Appreciate the time you have together, it may not last forever."

"Then I'll make every moment of it last that long."Alexa said, holding Curtis's hand.

He looked at her as she kissed him gently on the lips and they appeared in their bedroom, then the kids ran away so they wouldn't have to see what would happen next, leaving their parents laughing, right before continuing.
