SO CLOSE YET SO FAR...

My light was reactivated about a week later then I realized light dimmers were actually different kinds of alcohol.

Alcohol, which had a detrimental effect on the human body made it in chaos and unable to communicate with one's light, that caused the light to be neutralized.

Ethanol worked but more poisonous types like methanol were more effective, they were the ones used in at most twenty parts per million solutions.

Most lights super amplified the liver so small amounts weren't dangerous to the enlightened person, but only temporarily neutralized their light.

The engagement went on without a hitch and it was spectacular.

I found out about that new trick Alex made which he called Hyper Illusion, which was where he made the water on a surface have instructions on what to do, so it interpreted the message to the water in the observer's eye to make them see what he wanted them to see.

It was really similar to how my light actually operated so it made sense.

This was also more efficient than the regular illusion since you didn't have to use as much energy to sustain it, though both could work for crowds of people at the same time the Hyper Illusion was better at tricking crowds since you didn't have to multitask to put the illusions on different people's eyes and the water which experienced certain events was limited, so had to be shared, it also had the ability to make different people see different images or one person see different images from different angles.

Also, normal illusions could only display true past events, not made up ones.

A woman was running as fast as her legs could take her, while a motorcyclist wasn't far behind.

She screamed as he started shooting at her and the crowd went into chaos.

The woman made a sharp turn when he was almost right behind her and the cyclist did the same but went off balance due to the ice on the road.

He crashed but quickly stood up to finish the job, but he saw a young man standing in front of her.

I, without raising my eyes, said,"Let the woman go, or else..."

Then a green flame appeared just above my opened hand and it didn't seem to be hurting me.

He fell backwards in fear and tried to scuttle away when a wall of ice appeared at either side of him.

I then added,"And if you try to hurt her after I'm gone, I'll make you wish you were dead."

"Y- you are a Monster Hunter."The man stuttered.

"Correct."I said.

"Then you have no right to interfere in this situation, you don't have the power of the cops, you could get arrested."

"And you have no right to chase this woman, you don't have the power to hurt her and you could get arrested, or worse."I said in a threatening tone.

He freaked out and ran away, crashing a few...many times into the objects near him.

I turned to the woman who was freaking out then stretched my arm to help her stand up, but she shivered violently then begged me not to hurt her.

I then told her I was only there to help but she wasn't convinced, then I said,"You will never trust us again, will you?"

She couldn't look me in the eyes and right after she sensed me disappear, she jumped suddenly and wondered what my light was.

I threw the last of the soil over the grave then looked at where the fence was being patched up.

I felt so sorry for the man I hurt so badly and wanted to search for him to apologize, so I used my water vision to sense him in a hospital not far away.

I read his mind from a distance so I could know his name and be granted permission to visit him, then I bought some gifts and went into the hospital lobby.

I asked one of the nurses for his room number even though I already knew it then was allowed to go to him.

He couldn't be visited at the moment so I sat in the waiting area then waited.

I also realized some of his family members wanted to visit him and could tell they wanted me to be arrested by their emotions towards the person who hurt him.

We were allowed to go and visit him not long after and his family couldn't recognize me and showed their concerns.

I didn't want to lie to them so I told them I was the one who hurt him and had come to apologize.

His mother fainted and his two brothers went to help her while his sister hurled insults at me which I knew I totally deserved.

She asked why I didn't help him earlier or why I waited for over a fortnight before coming to apologize then thought I had come to finish the job.

So she screamed for security but I stayed put, I didn't want to cause anymore trouble.

I was arrested and kept in custody till the cops could arrive then I was taken to a cell, awaiting trial.

My family, all except for Alex, came to visit me and Anneliese was in tears and didn't blame me in the least for what had happened, she knew I was just emotional.

I was taken to court soon after and the family was desperate for me to be sent to jail, but my family was desperate to keep me out of there.

When they asked my reason for doing what I did, I told them the exact truth but the judge and jury wouldn't hear of my plea...I was taken to prison.

Even a child could tell that that was unjust but I kept my peace.

Anneliese visited me everyday with my mom and sister, though I hadn't seen Alex once in the month that had passed.

On my first day, lots of men started looking at me lustfully but since I was treated with a light dimmer, I couldn't tell what their intentions were, until they ganged me up and wanted to have intercourse with me.

Of course I didn't let them, but I did leave them with a warning, a really painful warning as most of them were half dead.
