REUNITED

Anneliese was looking at a photo where she was carrying her daughter and I was right behind her, she missed those family moments as a tear streamed down her cheek.

She quickly wiped it to prevent herself from creating a city wide earthquake then got a call on her phone.

She smiled when she heard the speaker's voice for a second, then changed her facial expression to a more serious one then said,"Don't worry, I'll help you..."

Lilith was on her phone when Bertha appeared and yelled,"What are you doing with that?!"

Lilith was startled and dropped it.

Bertha took a glance at it and it floated into her grip while the screen repaired itself then Lilith said,"No please don't..."

"Shut up you little brat!"She yelled.

I widened my eyes from behind the door, was that how she was treating my daughter?!

I was about to barge in, my eyes glowing, when Apollo stepped in and said,"I'm really sorry mom, it was my fault."

She looked at him and her gaze softened before she asked,"What do you mean sweetie?"

"I didn't understand our recent assignment so I told her to do my homework for me."

"Oh, that's it? Okay."

She gave the phone back to Lilith and whispered in her ear,"Make sure you do it right or I'll make your father forget you, for good..."

Lilith widened her eyes then looked at her in fear as she walked away.

Bertha got to the kitchen then heard the door close behind her.

A knife appeared in her hand but disappeared when she heard whistling, she knew that song all too well, it was me.

I covered her eyes with my hands then asked,"Who is it?"

She played along to call,"Hmm, Ferdinand?"

"Nope."

"Fernando."

"No."

"Felipe?"

"Warmer."

She smirked then said,"Felix."

I raised her into the air by the waist then dropped her between my arms then rubbed my nose on her's and said,"Yes."

Then kissed her.

I pulled back then said,"Happy birthday honey."

"Aww, you remembered."

"Of course I did, and the kids and I planned a surprise for you."

"Really? What is it?"

"Let me show you..."

I took she and the kids with me and we started walking.

The moment we got out of the mansion, we were greeted by a lane of rose petals which led us to the right.

We followed it to a traditional Japanese palace made of ice and she was stunned.

She walked in as the light snow fell then I turned her to see the beautiful view of the city, her breath was taken away.

I then lifted my arm and currents of water, balls of snow and blasts of plasma spiralled up and exploded like fireworks, with each tiny bit left from the explosion bursting again.

The water made a fine mist which formed a rainbow, the ice made a spectacular display of light from the sun and the plasma glowed electric blue, she gasped then hugged me then I said,"Now, for the biggest surprise."

I took her to an icy table in the midst of the ice garden then she said,"You didn't have to."

I snapped my fingers then seven concentric circles made of fires of each colour of the rainbow appeared above her head.

I coloured the ice using a skill Bertha taught me that I called Ice Iridescence.

This skill allowed me to change the colour of the surface of ice or possibly even water, without needing impurities in it.

It worked when I made the ice(of literally any kind) have a roughness on its surface which had to be in such a way, it caused a phenomenon (well, not actually phenomenon since I am about to explain it) called Thin Film reflection to happen.

This was where a body was coloured due to a special array of apparatuses on its surface.

These apparatuses caused the incident light to be reflected in specific ways that made only the desired colour reach the viewer's eye without any needed pigments (impurities).

This was the same phenomenon that gave bubbles(where their own weight causes the layer of liquid at the bottom to be denser than the one at the top), blue jays(where the apparatus consists of some spheres arranged in a grid) and blue morpho butterflies(where it was a grid of Christmas tree like apparatuses) and most other falsely blue coloured animals.(they are said to be falsely blue since they don't have any blue pigments colouring their bodies)

This sub skill was very similar to Alex's Hyper Illusion, but this one was merely decorative.

It was medium specific, as in, if the apparatus on its surface was meant to work in air, it wouldn't be able to cope with the refractive index of water, oil or glass.

Also, Ice Iridescence had the unique ability to portray any design, it didn't necessarily have to be something the water had experienced.

But they could both be iridescent, where they showed different colours from different angles, though the Ice Iridescence was always iridescent but the Hyper Illusion didn't have to be.

The roughness on the surface of the ice to make the ice iridescent was microscopic, so couldn't be felt with the human hand, but this property also made it hydrophobic, which meant, the ice couldn't be wet by water, until the array of apparatuses melted.

I shook my head then said,"Only the best will suffice for my wife, open the menu."

She smiled as she opened the booklet then frowned and asked,"Is this supposed to be a joke?"

I said in a serious note,"No, Bertha, I don't know why I married you in the first place since I don't even love you, and you have been a terrible mother to my children, especially to my daughter but I wouldn't let you torture them anymore, I want a divorce."

The kids were just as surprised as she was till arcs of electricity started jumping off her as she asked,"Do you know what I can do?"

I rolled my eyes then asked,"Let me guess, you're Bertha Maverick Romanoff, daughter of Claus and Stephanie Romanoff your parents died in a car crash which activated your light and you used it to give yourself another then blah, blah, blah, yadi yada yada, you dragged me into your made up reality."

She screamed then a huge blast of lightning shot from her chest towards me.

I flicked my wrist then it was deflected at a 90° angle towards the palace.

I then asked,"Is that all you've got?"

She started breathing heavily then I told the kids to get behind me.

She screamed again then all the drama stopped as I sensed something small travel to her neck with a light dimmer solution in it.

She touched her neck and removed it then the moment she looked in the direction it came from, she was punched in the face so hard, she blacked out.

Anneliese rolled her eyes then Lilith yelled,"Mom!"

Then ran into her embrace.

I walked slowly towards her while shyly scratching the back of my head then said,"Anneliese, I'm sorry for how I treated you, I shouldn't have..."

She kissed me right before I could finish.

She pulled back then said,"I forgive you honey, also, I know we weren't divorced, we all did, that's why I let you take Lilith, she was, is and will forever be your daughter, you don't need my forgiveness."

I smiled at her then asked,"So can we continue where we left off?"

She chuckled and ruffled my hair while saying,"Yes."

Apollo then asked,"Wait, what are we going to do about my mom?"

Anneliese and I looked at her, shrugged then walked away, so the kids did the same.

Trevor was watching the TV when it literally started to rain on him, in the mansion.

He frowned then turned back to see Alex laughing.

He then said,"Alex, put off the cloud."

"But it suits you."He said, right before bursting into more laughter.

"I said put off the cloud!!"Trevor then yelled.

"Hmm, such a temper, you wouldn't survive a day with a light."

Trevor knew he was right so tried to find a way around it, by literally going around it.

He tried moving away from the cloud but it literally followed him.

He yelled in anger then got an idea and opened an umbrella, but the raindrops circled around the umbrella then poured on him diagonally from the edges.

He yelled in fury then Alex scoffed and said,"Bummer."

Trevor held him by the collar and said,"Stop the rain right now or I'll...wait, how come you're not getting wet?!"

Alex just burst out laughing again as Trevor looked at the raindrops which fell off the frame of Alex's body like there was a kind of invisible forcefield an inch away from his body.

Just then, Alexa flipped over the couch and yelled,"Felix is back!"

They both looked at her then back at each other, then Trevor pulled Alex's shirt over his head from the back then sprinted towards the door.

Alex fumed as he removed it then chased after.

Trevor made a turn but slipped on ice as Alex froze the floor then Alex laughed as he jumped over him, but Trevor held his leg and pulled him down.

Trevor started running again then Alex smirked and flew out the window with jet propulsion.

Trevor reached me then I disappeared and he realized, he was in the bathroom...an illusion.

He furiously ran up the walls then climbed out the window.

Alexa and Alex ran to hug me and I hugged them back.

Alex then yelled amidst tears,"I missed you so much!"

I widened my eyes then when he realized what he said, he cleared his throat then said,"My mistake, welcome back, pea brain."

I was just as surprised as everyone else as he said,"Forget I ever said that."

I then asked,"You missed me?"

He then yelled,"I said forget it!"

I shrugged then Trevor also ran to hug me, with a storm cloud over his head.

I frowned then dissipated it and asked,"Has Alex been causing Alexa trouble."

Trevor frowned at him then answered,"You bet, but don't worry, I made sure to keep her safer than safe."

I smiled and ruffled his hair then sensed my mom walking to me.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I ran to hug her.

She told me of how much she'd missed me and I exchanged the words, then we went inside and I explained how everything went on, and introduced them, to my son, Apollo.
