Chapter 5: Rescued

Danielle groaned at the strong sunray attempting to glare into her eye. Tossing and turning violently on the bed, she rubbed her eyes easing it back to darkness. When she thought she could go back to sleep, the roaring laughter that travelled to her ear made her more awake than before.

That laughter she recognized. Where did she hear it from? HARRY! She mumbled the name on her lips and shot her eye wide open. Staring and blinking at the familiar ceiling she faced from before. Another round of laughter she heard made her jumped up and turned to find all her friends gathered at the only table in the yacht, as if nothing was amiss.

"Guys?"

"Hey! Miss Piggy is finally awake!" Jacob called out catching the attention of the rest who turned to face her.

"I came back?"

They looked puzzledly at her.

"Yes, you came back from your sleep." Harry teased.

"Sleep? No, I woke up I saw the phenomenal it was real, there were swirling light illuminating in the sky and..."

"There was nothing." Sara grumbly complained. "We tried to wake you up, but you just kept snoring."

Nothing? What did she mean by nothing. The boy and the captain from before. She strongly believed all of it was real, it felt real! She left her friends and ran out to the bow of the yacht. Nothing really look amiss, the sky was blue with the sun sunning brightly as it should be, the water was peaceful. She refused to believe nothing had happened, she leans dangerously over the railing to look down into the clear blue sea hoping to find some sort of answer.

"Danielle, watch out!"

It was too late, the yacht jerked forward, and she slipped over the railing and crash headfirst into the water.

Water, again. She felt herself sinking deeper as her body float in weightlessness. Although she was in a mode of panic moments ago, she felt her burden washed away with the sound of the gentle rush of water in her ears. A moment of serenity, a moment she wished she did not have to wake to, but her eyes betrayed her and forced itself open, allowing the salty water to sting her eyes.

In her blurry state of sight, she could make out someone coming towards her. It must be Jacob, he will save her like he always does. She was selfish but for once she wanted to rely on others. Having no energy left in her, she smiled and let her fingers float up to where he was swimming after her. It was not too long before her fingers felt some warmth from the strong grip around them. She felt herself being pulled against the soft current of the sea forward, where he wraps one arm around her waist holding her close to his chest. Instinctively, she does the same, wrapping both her arm around him and feel his muscle ripple beneath his clothes as he swam.

"Capt! Grab on to that!"

Damon grabbed on to the rope tossed to him which he coils his arm around. With a strong heaved from five of his crews, he was pull out of the water and landed on deck with the girl whom he saw jumping off the ship through the glass, in his arm.

"Capt, could we not get Artty?"

Damon shoved the unconscious girl into his arms. "Ask her and let me know."

"What?" Looking down at the suspicious being, he dropped her like a hot potato shouting. "It's bad luck to have a woman onboard!"

Damon ignored and stormed back to his quarters. He slammed the door behind him, not sure whether he should be angry with this girl who tried to jump off the ship with Artty or be glad that he was caught by his collar by his captor. The more he thought of it, the angrier he got. By the time he walked to where his bath was drawn for him, he peels off his drenched white shirt and he tossed it to the ground hard whilst roaring in anger.

Matilda, his nanny, who reside two cabins away from him heard his roaring and immediately left her cabin to find out what has happened.

Damon. Damon.

Hearing a familiar voice calling out his name, Damon opened his eyes and found himself lying sideways on his bed back at the manor he used to live in. He rolled over the bed and saw a woman's back facing him. His wasn't any woman, it was the back of the woman he loved.

"Althea?" He reached and called out to her, but she did not turn around. Instead, she stood up from the bed and started walking towards the window of the room.

"Althea, are you going to leave me the way you did before? Trampling over all that I gave you." Still, she neither answer him nor turn around.

"Answer me Dammit!" He harshly grabbed her by her shoulder and forced her to turn around. He was faced with not the woman he loved but the girl whom he just rescued. Without warning, she dove in for an embrace around his waist. Not prepared to hold her weight, they both fell to the ground like a pile.

Damon gasped for air as he realized he had somehow slide in the tub. He grabbed on to the side of the tub and surveyed his surrounding to realize it was all a dream and he was in his cabin. He splashed his face a couple of time before his ear twitch from the bickering coming from outside his door. He sighed and climbed out of the tub to see what the issue was all about.

"You PLONKER!"

"We can handle this on our own."

"You are here cause you can't even handle it yourself, you twit!

"Did you not see the look on Capt's face?"

Damon swing open his door just in time to hear that "What about my face?"

The crew who made that statement instantly became a mute. While the other took the opportunity to spill everything. "It's about the girl Capt."

"What about her?"

"The ship is in chaos because of her!!"

Before any prompting can be done they started hearing the crews screaming man overboard! Man overboard!

Damon sprint up to the deck where he saw the girl, now up and alive, armed with a rifle aimed towards his first mate, Cale. His first instinct made him reach for his pistol and fired a single shot in her direction and there was silence.
