Chapter 19 of 19 Home schooled

Elena could feel Hazel's intense stare that she was left with no choice but to ask

" I think your stare is starting to burn me Hazel."

" Good you noticed.. you and Jace have been close for the past week, are you two dating?." She curiously leaned in like a teenager gossiping

" What! Why do you think that? We're just friends that's it."

" Whatever it is I'm glad to see you happy _ you were all this serious and cold kind of person before Jace came along, I should thank him." Hazel giggled

" Sister! don't even think about it." Elena blushed continuing with her work.

Sammy was washing her hands after using the restroom.. a group of girls surrounded her and cornered

" Hey Sammy - I heard you made friends with the freaks.. what huh, you rather hang out with them and not us?." A girl spoke who seemed to be the leader of the group

" No it's not like that _ Hope is my friend too." Sammy said with fear.. the girls laughed loudly as though hearing a funny joke

" Oh now she's your friend.. since when? you've always ignored her, are you trying to play us for a fool? I'm going to teach you a lesson." She grabbed Sammy's hair pulling it

" Ahhh!.. it hurts." She cried out

" This is nothing.. you will beg for mercy once I'm done with you_ giving you a good beating."

" Let go of her!." Hope yelled from the entrance door

" Oww.. supergirl to the rescue," they teased," are we supposed to fear you just because you have powers silly girl, you don't scare me."

" I said - let her go.. I don't like repeating myself." Hope firmly said standing her ground

" Why you little s**t, I will first teach you a lesson then your little friend." She let go of Sammy's hair approaching Hope - Hope glared at the girl intensely, the girl froze midway painfully crouching down on the floor.. she screamed painfully unable to bare the pain_ it was like her insides and body was being crashed to the core

" What are you doing to her Hope!? Stop it!. " The other girls yelled_ Hope didn't flinch a bit, she kept her eyes at the girl on the floor who was now bleeding, the other girl's eyes widened with fear and terror

" You're going to kill her.. stop it!." No matter how loudly they yelled they couldn't get through to her

" Someone do something." They panicked

" Hope! Hope!." Sammy yelled out to her_ her voice was able to get through to Hope getting her attention, the girl coughs uncontrollably struggling for air

" Becky! Are you okay?." The other girls ran to her side

" Go get the principal." One of Becky's best friend told her friend, Hope looked at Becky looking all guilty and sorry.. it was like something just took over her and couldn't control herself, she wanted Becky to pay

" Children _ what happened?," the principal came in

" Hope tried to kill Becky."

" What! Is this true Hope?." She turned to Hope who simply had her head down.. she wasn't worried about getting expelled or anything, the only thing that got her worried was Sammy not talking to her and stop being her friend.. she'll go back being friendless and alone

" Come to my office little girl... Girls take Becky to the school nurse." She took Hope by the hand dragging her away.

Leah was enjoying her breakfast in bed that Lucian made her

" Do you like it?." He smiled sweetly at his little wife

" I love it.. it tastes amazing more so that I'm pregnant." She giggled.. she got a call from an undefined caller - she picked it up

" Hello."

" Mrs Reign."

" This is she."

" It's Principal Janet.. can you please come to the school, it's about your daughter." Leah looked at Lucian with uneasiness

" What happened to Hope?." She looked anxious making Lucian crease his brows

" It's who it happened to.. I will be expecting you." She hang up

" What happened to Hope?." Lucian spoke_ Leah looked at Lucian worriedly

" She didn't say.. she asked me to go there right away." With how well Lucian knows his daughter.. she must have gotten herself into trouble again _ she has a long history of getting into trouble at school and Zach was always the one to handle the matter

" I have to go." Leah said with intensions of getting out of bed.. Lucian held her shoulders lying her back down

" Remember what the doctor said.. you need to rest and relax - I will handle it." He told her

" Make sure my little girl is fine Lucian." Leah teared up

" I will.. now get some rest." He kissed her forehead changing out of his nightwear and left.. he drove to the school walking through the hallways of the classes, teachers and students would stare through the windows when Lucian passed by.. astonished by such a being, Lucian stopped in front of the principal's office knocking on the door

" Come in," he went inside," Mr Reign.. I wasn't expecting that you will be the one to show up."

" My wife isn't feeling to well." He simply said.. Hope got up from her seat running to Lucian's side_ he patted her head gently

" Please take a seat.. you too Hope." Lucian sat down and Hope sat next to him

" I'm pretty sure you're aware of the incidents we've had with your daughter for the past few months, I'm starting to think Hope isn't able to control her powers and this can put other kids in danger Mr Reign - today's incident report by the other kids present at the scene says Hope almost killed her classmate Becky.. she was bleeding when I got there, and the school nurse thinks Becky has internal injuries so she was rushed to the hospital.. Mr Reign I will tell you what I told Mr Kinn the last time he was here - Hope is a young intelligent girl.. it will be a shame to expel her from school."

" I see - did she tell you why she did what she did?."

" She refuses to speak to me."

" Well I must say.. Hope will never harm anyone without a reason." He said calmly

" Hmm.. I remember Mr Kinn saying the same thing, maybe she will answer you why she did it.. please go ahead." Janet leaned back in her seat _ Lucian turned to Hope lifting her chin up to meet his blue ocean eyes

" Tell me what happened.. did anyone hurt you?." Hope shook her head and said

" They were hurting Sammy in the restroom.. Becky was about to hit me too and I - I suddenly lost control, she was bleeding and I couldn't stop myself.. I was only protecting my Sammy ..Lucian." She threw herself in his arms sobbing, Lucian gently stroked her back comforting her and turned to Janet

" I would like for Hope to take home classes for a while.. she'll come back when she can fully control her powers," he stood up

" I really apologize for the inconvenience Mr Reign."

" And as for the girl's hospital bill.. I will handle it." He carried Hope in his arms walking out.. Sammy watched Lucian and Hope leave in their car without saying anything, she guessed it was for the best.. she went back to class all sad and gloomy

" If you want you can come with me after school and see her." Kai told Sammy - Sammy looked at Kai nodding excitedly.

Hope ran upstairs to her room as soon as they got home

" Lucian! What happened?." Leah walked up to him

" You should be resting." He frowned seeing her walking about

" What - happened?." Leah asked instead staring into his ocean eyes

" She's having trouble controlling her powers again.. her classmate was hurt."

" Again?" Leah creased her brows," this has happened before?."

" Hmm_ if she doesn't learn to control it she'll be expelled from school, I asked if she can be home schooled till she controls it." He told her _ Leah pressed her lips together

" She's a kid they don't have to be so hard on her."

" Relax." Lucian held her shoulders

" You're too relaxed Lucian." Leah said going upstairs, she knocked softly on Hope's door going inside

" Honey.. can I talk to you?." Hope sat up with a sad innocent little face

" I don't feel like talking." She said in a low tone

" What do you feel like doing?" Leah sat next to her on the bed_Hope just stared at her," you know I also had trouble controlling my powers when I was younger, my mother Hazel took time from her busy duties and taught me how to use and control my powers.. I failed multiple times and felt like giving up but she was patient with me and pushed me to keep going, sweetie with time and persistent you'll be able to do it - and I will teach you till you learn."

" You'll teach me?." Hope's eyes sparkled

" If you want we can start now." Leah suggested

" But you're not feeling well."

" Mommy's pregnant not ill," She teasingly pinched her cheek," let's go." They left the room with giggles.

Nick woke up a long time ago but stayed in bed to stare at Zara's pretty sleeping face, he removed some hair hanging on her face.. Zara slowly opens her eyes meeting Nick's brown eyes staring back at her

" Good morning." He smiled sweetly, Zara blushed with a smile

" Have you been staring at me the entire time?."

" You look more beautiful when you're asleep and quiet." He smirks

" Are you saying I'm talkative?." Zara puffs her cheeks.. Nick chuckles cupping her cheek

" You were amazing last night - I couldn't get enough of you." Zara's cheeks flushed a bright red like a tomato, he kissed her passionately and ever so slowly.. Zara's stomach grumbled making a weird sound, they both chuckled

" We should go down for breakfast." Said Nick _ Zara nodded

Leah and Hope made a training ground back in the courtyard

" I don't feel comfortable everyone watching." Said Hope feeling a little nervous_ Leah crouched down holding her little chin and said

" It's just your Aunties - Uncles and Daddy, there's nothing to be afraid of... If it makes you feel any better just picture everyone as monkeys." Hope giggles nodding her head," are you ready?."

" Ready."

" Listen carefully, it's all about calmness.. patience.. and most importantly focus, inhale." They took a breath in," exhale." took a breath out," what type of powers were you able to control?."

" Fire was the first power I learnt.. I don't know the other one, all I know is that I was crashing her bones.. torturing her without doing anything - just by staring at her." Hope explained

" We'll start with fire _ it's about will power and focus, stretch out the palm of your hand.. focus on it and what you seek shall be found, fire is what you want.. so focus on that fire in your mind and bring it to reality, focus on it." Leah said and fire appeared in her hands.. Hope struggled to get it done

" I can't do it."

" Yes you can _ patience, focus." Leah told her, Hope breathes in and out focusing on her hands.. it took her a while but managed to get it right, she was so happy to have done it

" I did it! I did it mommy."

" Good.. now controlling it is a different thing, how you want it to go your way and how to restrain it, observe." Leah moved her hands around.. the fire followed the way she moved her hands, it was amazing watching her do all the cool stunts with her hands and body.. she restrained the fire by closing her hands or it will just disappear by itself without her closing her hands, Leah showed her daughter how to work it and shut it down.. Hope was a quick leaner than she was

" You're getting the hang of it good job." She ruffled her hair, they trained a bit more before calling it a day

The driver picked up Kai and Sammy from school taking them home, Hope was happy to see Sammy

" Hi. "

" Hey_ I thought you no longer want to be my friend after what happened to school today." Hope sadly said, Sammy shook her head

" I will always be your friend.. you saved me from Becky."

" That's because you got in trouble because of me."

" Don't say that _ we're friends and friends will always stick out for each other." Sammy smiled giving her a hug, she stayed over for a while before going back home with the driver to the Reign family. For the rest of the week Hope took her classes from home and trained with Leah afterwards.. Sammy would always come and visit after school and they would play with the rest.

Today on a Saturday_ Leah and Lucian went to Europe with the kids, Anna and Skylar to visit Mary.. Anna was practically family and Mary would surely be glad to see her and her family, Leah didn't think the place changed as much - it was still the little home she lived at with her mom and grandma before she met Lucian, Mary didn't know they were coming cause it was a surprise visit.. she rang the doorbell once - the door was opened after a while by a slightly older woman in her 50s, Mary held her mouth in shock seeing her daughter after so many years

" Mom." Leah gave a sad smile hugging Mary with tears in her eyes.. they were both crying - not because they were sad but because they were so happy and their emotions just couldn't help but flow like a river

" Leah, you're really here my goodness.. it's been forever since I last your pretty face sweetie." She kissed her cheeks

" I missed you very much Mother.. I really did."

" Hey, did I suddenly become invisible Mama Mary?." Anna gave a sad innocent face

" Of course not look at you.. you haven't changed the slightest." She hugged her," please come in and make yourselves at home." She greeted Lucian and the young gentleman next to Lucian, the kids surrounded Mary embracing her with warm hugs

" I'm Kamila.. short for Kami or Ami_ and this is my twin brother Kale.. we're your grandkids ." She cutely introduced.. Mary touched her chest feeling the warmth

" So adorable you two are, and you little prince - what's your name?."

Kai Kinn.. Anna and Skylar's son." He smiled

" What a smart cute kid you are."

" Can we see where mommy used to sleep grandma." Kami said

" Upstairs the door to your right.. it's pretty colorful and cute." Mary said.. the kids ran upstairs while the adults stayed down to chat.. Mary served them something to drink while they waited on Lunch

" I'm sorry I couldn't make it at Grandma and Grandpa's funeral." Leah sadly said

" It's alright.. I understand how busy you are and such a huge responsibility you have to deal with, both your grandparents are really proud of you." Mary told her

" Don't you ever get lonely here by yourself.. you're still young and beautiful any man would be lucky to have you." Said Leah

" Oh stop.. I'm old I don't need anyone special, although I do have someone who visits me so it doesn't get that lonely."

" Ooh.. a lover." Anna teased

" Just a friend nothing more."

" If you say so.. I wouldn't mind getting a stepdad though, as long as you're happy." Leah squeezed Mary's hand

Lucian and Skylar stepped out to the backyard giving the women some time alone to talk freely

" You're pretty lucky to have two mother in-laws you know." Skylar teased

" Haha very funny.. I honestly prefer Mary over Hazel, that woman hates me with all her might." Lucian said as they sat down on one of the garden chairs

" Hazel is pretty tough." Skylar chuckled.

" So does Nia and Sandra visit or they completely neglected you?." Leah spoke

" They claim to be busy people but they try to make an effort during the holiday festivals, we are still family after all.. and we only have each other after your grandpa died."

" I see_ so I'm guessing they already met Hope."

" Hmm.. between me and you - she doesn't like neither of them a little bit.. just like you." Mary giggled, Leah chuckles not blaming her little girl.. Nia and Sandra are the worst relatives

" I have some good news for you." She said

" What is it?." Mary curiously asked

" You're going to be a grandmother again... I'm pregnant." Leah gave a wide smile, Mary clapped her mouth filled with joy

" Oh sweetie.. congratulations I'm so happy for you." Mary hugged her daughter crying her eyes out

" It took me by surprise too.. I wasn't expecting to be pregnant this soon, I mean the kids are still so young." She said

" You're a great mother sweetie _ I'm so proud of you."

Anna finished cooking up and called everyone for lunch.. they ate together making Mary so happy, it's been a long time she saw the table filled up with the people she held dear and loved _ the house felt lively again, she couldn't ask for anything more.. they decided to leave the next day just so Mary could spend more time with her grandkids and it was the happiest moment of her life.

~ FALLS ~

Rosa walked through the long castle corridors when a voice called out to her from behind

" Rosa!,"

She came to standstill turning her heels, the Queen walked up to her gracefully and said

" I want you to be on your best behavior to our guests.. it's your elder brother's wedding and I don't want any problems starting from next week."

" You worry to much mother _ try to relax will you." Rosa smirked

" Everything about you worries me girl.. especially when it comes to Lucian with your obsession."

" Tell me mother - it's quite sudden that you want to hold a wedding here without a motive.. it's quite suspicious, are you really okay with Zach marrying a human?." Rosa raised a suspicious brow at her mother

" She's a vampire." The Queen answered simply

" She was turned.. still half human, besides she's the sister to Skylar's wife whom you don't quite like if I remember correctly."

" Both my Sons seem to like going against my words.. they do the opposite of what I ask, either ways Skylar is still my son and he gave me a grandson whom I'm very looking forward to meet, although the child is a halfling the blood of a Kinn runs in his veins.. and one day he will succeed over me as my first grandson of the Kinn family." She said and began walking _ Rasa walked beside her

" Well now that Skylar's wife is also a turned vampire now.. maybe you'll finally accept her as part of the family."

" I find all this pretty annoying _ let's change the topic to you instead, when are you planning on getting married and finally settle down child?." The Queen asked instead

" I find this topic pretty annoying." Rosa used her mother's words back at her

" Don't tell me you're planning on being single till your last breath Rosa... If not a prince then marry someone rich who matches your standards, as long as he is one of our kind.. don't follow your brothers footsteps."

" Your darling younger daughter is the one that needs to hear this, she's a rebellious one.. just like her brothers." Said Rosa, Sarah did have a mind of her own.. she does what she wants and makes her happy, they wouldn't be surprised if her too decided to fall for a human other than her kind.. but it was out of the Queen's hands, everyone just seem to do whatever they want.

~ RAVEN CLAN~

Every once in a while the village would make a battle ground where they compete with one another_ to increase their fighting skills without using their powers.. only combat, Sabrina and Cassie were first.. they stepped into the middle of the ground standing in a defensive postur

" Begin." Hazel instructed, Cassie threw a punch at Sabrina who swiftly blocked it and grasps her arm pinning her on the ground... Losing the first round

" Again." Hazel calmly said.. they took their position for another round, Sabrina kicked Cassie making her lose balance and thrown to the ground, she twist and turn Cassie's foot to the right in agonizing pain.. Cassie screamed taping on the ground with her right palm in surrender, Sabrina pulled back gaining victory

" You're up next Elena." Said Hazel.. Elena stepped into the ring facing her opponent_ with Hazel's command, Sabrina threw a kick at Elena who swiftly caught it kicking her in the stomach making Sabrina lose balance and fell back

" Giving up already... Sister?." Elena teased, Sabrina glared at her getting on her feet.. throwing punches _ Elena Dodged every single one of them," you lack strength when it comes to combat." Elena got tired seeing Sabrina lose to every attempt of attacking her, she gave her a throat punch and a side kick which made Sabrina lose instantly," pathetic." Elena sneered looking down at struggling Sabrina - Sabrina looked up at Elena with red teary eyes, her one glare was enough to kill someone instantly.. Elena painfully held her head, it was like her brain was being affected by a loud sonic sound which was unbearable.. if this continues her brain will be damaged causing internal bleeding, she knew to say it was all Sabrina's doing

Elena crouched down painfully.. Hazel frowned seeing what was happening and said

" Sabrina! Enough.. powers are not allowed during combat." Hazel knew what Sabrina's powers could do.. it was a way to torture someone mentally, Sabrina removed her focus on Elena getting up turning to Hazel and calmly said

" Forgive me Sister.. I got a little carried away." Hazel dismissed everyone for the day

" Are you alright?." She walked up to Elena

" I could use a cup of tea." She said standing up, Hazel smiled leading the way

" You were amazing back there."

" I know." Elena shrugged.

The next day, Leah said her goodbyes to Mary

" See you grandma." Hope hugged Mary and the rest of her grandkids followed, she was sad to see them go but the time she spent with everyone was worth it, the cars drove off.. Mary stood there for a while till the cars left her sight.

" I must hand it to you Rory..I didn't think you would pull it off with that family." A woman spoke looking astonished, Rory smirked feeling herself

" It was a piece of cake for me Maddie.. you should have seen that house it's huge and beautiful, surrounded by breathtaking gods" She sighs," it's a shame they're all taken.. whenever I'm surrounded by everyone in that house it feels like I'm in another world, everything feels unreal." She added

" I can just imagine," Maddie leaned in lowering her voice," so what were you able to find out?,"

" Well for instant Zach and Anna's sister are getting married next weekend, Anna invited my daughter and I,"

" Seriously!," Maddie slammed her hands on the table and everyone looked at them in the coffee shop

" Yes.. apparently it will be held back in their home town at the castle, turns out Zach and Skylar are princes,"

" Wait what about Hope's Dad.. isn't he part of the royal family, I thought they were related?." Maddie creased her brows a bit confused

" According to Sammy.. Hope's Dad is someone highly respected by the royal family - and feared too, Sammy mentioned something of him being immortal..he can easily wipe out an entire country if he wanted_ I think that's why they respect him a lot, I will get more Intel when I get to that place." Rory said making it her goal.. Maddie nodded in agreement.

~ FALLS~

Caroline and Louise stood in the middle surrounded by bloody thirsty vampires in the woods

" They keep coming we need to escape." Said Caroline facing Louise

" I guess you're right... they've over numbered us, follow my lead." Louise said firmly.. Caroline nods facing back at the vampires, Louise leapt attacking with her claws.. Caroline followed her strategy fighting side by side, ripping out hearts and heads

" Now Carol!," Louise shouts out.. Caroline ran as fast as she could fighting her way out, Louise followed behind her making a run for it..they managed to get away from there before they could meet their end

" That was close." Caroline said panting for air.. Louise broke into laughter leaning against the tree trunk - Carol burst into laughter as well," we could have literally died back there."

" That's what happens going in without a plan and strategy." Louise smiled," we should get out of here.. we're still in their territory." She added and they leapt away.

~ KINN CASTLE~

" Are all the rooms ready for our guests tomorrow?," The Queen spoke out looking at the beautiful garden

" Yes your majesty." One of the servants bowed

" Get me a glass of blood.. I'm thirsty." She ordered," while you're on it tell Rosa her presence is requested." She added

" Yes your majesty." the maid bowed slightly walking away.
