"Are you telling me you were thrashed by them?!" Tremain shouted.

Lian watched from the hallway peeking only to find two familiar faces he didn't expect to see. He ran out to greet them to find them staring blankly back at him.

"Nina? Nour?" Lain asked.

"Lian, you remember them?" Tremain asked.

"Of course! They work at the funeral parlor!" Lian stated.

"Well, now they work for me now," Tremain explained.

"But…something feels wrong."

"We will be going now, master…" Nina and Nour said in unison.

"Thank you, girls!" He waved.

As Tremain pushed Lian away. The two women departed without saying anything to him. He didn't know if something was just too important to say, but was unsure.

"So what's going on?" Lian asked.

"I would like you to meet someone, Lian."

Taking Lian to his father's old study he is surprised to see a young girl dressed in a black lolita dress that had a brown rope pattern curled into loops at the bottom. She has passionate violet eyes.

Her short brunette hair was draped over the nape of her neck. She was pretty as a doll, but her eyes glimmered in the light of the dim candlelight. The sound of the breeze whipping against the window-rattling the windows nearly spooked him.

"Fear not…just a tiny storm brewing outside…" She smiled.

"Just who are you?" He questioned.

"My name is Effie…pleased to meet you."

She lifted the sides of her dress to curtsy. He didn't expect her to be courteous in front of him and so polite. There was no one ever in his existence that he had ever met like her.

"I don't think I should be here!" Lian shouted.

"Nonsense! I picked her just for you!" Tremain cackled.

He slammed the door behind them. Lian darted to try the handle to find it was locked. He was stuck inside this small room with a girl.

"I-I already have a partner!" Lian yelled.

"You poor thing. Here let me help you!" Effie grinned.

She swung her arms around his shoulders closing her eyes taking her left arm pushing it down against the metal piece before thrusting her fingers up through his shirt feeling every curve of the metal contorting.

Bending and moving restraining his movement. Examining everything by touch alone. He tried to get away but tugged harder till he fell to the ground on his knees.

"Ares did too good a job." She snickered.

His eyes became focused on the wall in front of him. He no longer fought back. The palm of her hand stroked the side of his face.

"Lian…can you hear me?" She asked.

"Yes…"

Almost robotically he replied tilted in her arms. He was paralyzed as he listened to her talk.

"Good. From this point on you are reaper my little Lian." She smiled.

A couple of hours later standing outside of the door he wondered why he was there scratching his head to find Effie coming out.

"Hello, Lian." Effie greeted.

"Oh, Effie! I forgot why I was here…"

"Don't worry about that, Lian."

"Right…"

Lian thought a few seconds before dashing back down the hall. Effie smirked watching his newfound activity. Ares strolled back down to find Effie go the other direction she went Lian.

"Effie, are you not going to help Lian train?" Ares asked.

"Hell no. He has everything he needs now." Effie dismissed.

"What do you mean by that?" Ares asked.

"You will see tomorrow my dear Ares!" Effie huffed.

She was confident in what just had happened in the room after they had both come out. Ares pondered what she had done.

"Yume is coming right?" Ares questioned.

"I hope she is ready to lose!" Effie shouted.

"Well, you sure are confident."

Bringing her hands to her hips she made a strong proud stance. A broad smile appeared on her face.

"If you know who I am then Lian is a formable partner!" Effie agreed.

"It's only because you are a hypnotist," Ares mumbled.

"It's not hypnotism!" Effie argued.

"Whatever keeps the boy on a leash and do your job."

Ares walked angering Effie running to the backyard to find Lian working hard just as she had imagined it. Although he doesn't have to work that hard anymore to make the spinal piece work now.

Giving a small hardy laugh she attracted Lian. He waited a few seconds before returning to bring the sword back down.

"Lian, are you okay?" Effie inquired.

"I am just training."

"Do you want to try me then?" Effie giggled.

She put her hand out at Lian who didn't understand at first only for Effie to jump taking a big stomp on her waxed heels. Effie swung through the air veering to the left sharply morphing into a large black sword.

"Swing! Swing! Swing!" She cheered.

Smoke plumed up from the device revving up burning holes through the back of his shirt. His eyes changed His footwork became more fluid and paced moving forward and back vaulting up straight twirling the weapon in hand.

"You got this, Lian!" She congratulated.

"Yes…"

He seemed to have no control of his actions the more pushed the blade out. Gemma came by impressed by the noticeable improvement in his style.

"Wait...Effie!" Gemma shouted.

Lian did a full rotation. Twisting in Gemma's way nearly thrusting it at her. Her senses kicked in realizing Lian wasn't acting himself either.

"Kill, Lian! Let's kill them all!" Effie cackled.

Another high dive in the air he built momentum bringing it downward with the help of gravity smashing it into the verdant green grass using physical force to plunge several large holes into the yards once nice appearance.

"Effie! You wreck my garden I will kill you!" Gemma warned.

"Come and stop me bitch!" Effie howled.

"No! No this won't do Effie!" A voice chimed.

"Master?" Effie said.

Lian stopped lowering Effie to his side. Tremain walked towards the three watching the disgust on Gemma's face.

"Save that energy for our guest tomorrow." Tremain scolded.

"Understood…I am sorry master." Effie replied.

Swiftly changing back into herself. Lian awoke not able to acknowledge how he got there staring back at everyone. Effie took his hand leading him away.
