"Are you now going to tell me what really happened?"
Asher sat at the right end of his dinner table. His MacBook opened in front of him, bright screened, but on the home screen. Julian sat beside him, his arms folded across his chest. He stared at the man that he had been working with for years. A man he knew almost like the back of his hand. A man who he considered to be his friend. A man who, for most times, treated him like family.
"Asher?"
He called again when the man remained quiet. Asher finally looked away from his bright screen.
"What?" He asked as if Julian hadn't been speaking to him just a minute ago.
"What do you mean, what?" Julian released his arms and sat up straight. He adjusted himself on the wooden chair to stare directly at Asher. "Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about."
