...Sebastian POV...
"Forget about it. Don't be a prisoner of things that you cannot change."
One cycle of chemo has been completed, and Kati has only gotten slightly better. She has, since the loss of the baby, pushed me away and isolated herself. Today, she does not want me with her while she is getting chemo.
It breaks my heart that our marriage is falling apart slowly. I always thought that we would get out of this stronger. But there was always this fear that I will lose her in more ways than one.
So I am left here with nothing but my thoughts; if Kati won't talk, then I hope that she will listen.
What is the worst that she can do? Throw me out of the room?
With only but determination, I sneak into where she is sitting in the chair in silence.
She opens her eyes briefly and gives me a shy smile, "Sebastian, what are you doing here?"
"I am not allowing you to go through this alone. Especially not if it is the last day."
