Miguel's

"Let's go."

We're now on our way to the airport because we're going to New York. We'll be spending my birthday and we will also meet some of our relatives.

Good thing we don't have classes this week because the teachers will have an out-of-town conference, I think.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt Sign-"

While waiting for the plane to take off, I stood up to use the restroom but I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry, Miss-" I was surprised when I saw...

"Elleiana?"

She looked shocked.

"Oh...Miguel. Sorry.."

"No. I should be the one to apologize, I almost spilled your drink." I said and smiled.

"Ah, It's okay, no worries." She smiled back.

I love her smile...

"Excuse me, please take your seats." The Flight Attendant said and smiled.

"Oh, sorry. Nice seeing you, Miguel!" She said smiling.

I just smiled and went to the restroom. I need to use the toilet because I'm having diarrhea and I don't know why.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Alice and I'm your chief flight attendant. On behalf of Captain Rodriguez and the entire crew, welcome aboard Arrive Safe Airlines---"

When I heard the announcement, I immediately left the restroom and return to my seat.

"What took you so long?" My sister asked me while watching on her laptop.

"I talked to a friend," I said and took my laptop out.

While watching, a flight attendant came to ask for our order or food of choice. I just chose the bread because I don't want to eat rice since my stomach is not in a good mood today.

"Here's your food, Ma'am, Sir." The flight attendant said and handed us the food.

"Thank you," I said and smiled.

I ate my bread while watching a movie when my sister suddenly tapped my shoulder.

"Do u remember her?" She asked and pointed at Elleiana.

When she saw me and my sister she immediately walked away. What's wrong?

"She's my schoolmate. She's the one I talked to earlier. Why?"

"She's...the sister of my ex.." She said and avoided my gaze.

I was stunned. That's the reason why she is so familiar to me...

"Have I met your ex before? Did we do some family gatherings or what..?"

"Yes..her brother proposed to me, but...I said no.."

"And you called your ex to go to your condo, right?" I said.

"Y-yes.."

I just shook my head. I was so mad at her that time, I even helped Elleiana's brother to fix and plan everything. I saw all the efforts...

"I'm not yet ready that time...that's why-"

"Why are you explaining? It happened years ago." I said and sighed.

"But-" I glared at her so she stopped talking.

"Stop, please? I don't need explanations. It already happened."

I looked at her and she avoided my gaze.

I shook my head and sighed.

While watching, I suddenly felt sleepy. I drank the water they gave me before sleeping. I need to rest.

I just woke up to eat food and brush my teeth then sleep again.

I suddenly woke up when I heard the announcements.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Arrive Safe Airlines welcomes you to New York-"

I fixed my stuff as soon as I woke up and checked my parents.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked them.

"Yes. Happy Birthday, Son." They both said. Both of them look happy.

I chuckled. "My birthday is still tomorrow."

"Let's go." My sister said so I faced her.

I smiled back and nodded.

"Forget what we talked about earlier. Past is past, okay?" She nodded.

Before going down the plane, I asked help from a flight attendant to get our bags from the overhead bins. I thanked him first before going out of the plane.

While waiting for our luggage in the carousel, I texted Uncle Massimo that we already landed.

"Mom, I already texted Uncle Mossimo. I think he'll be here in a few minutes."

"Okay." She said and smiled.

They already turned on the carousel so our luggage will be here soon.

And I'm right, I already saw our luggage so I helped Dad put them in the cart.

"I'm hungry. Let's buy some food." Mom said and looked at Dad.

Dad nodded. "You guys wanna come?"

"No. I'll wait for uncle," I said and looked at my phone.

"He's already on his way. Just hurry up, okay?" I said to them and they both nodded.

After they left, Felice sighed deeply so I immediately looked at her.

"Nothing.." She said and forced a smile.

"You sure?" I said and she nodded.

I started scrolling thru my social media and viewing my mutuals' stories while waiting for my parents and uncle.

I came across Elle's Profile so I decided to stalk her.

I looked at her posts.

The first one is a selfie with her mom and kaidenn, the second is she and her best friend with her pet, Nova.

I knew her pets name because It's in the caption.

I next looked at her story.

It's just a picture of the airport, with the caption...

"Finally.."

I was about to message her when someone called me.

"Miguel! Let's go."

My parents and Uncle Moss is already here. I didn't realize because I was busy stalking Elleiana.

"Happy Birthday, Buddy!" Uncle greeted me when I stood up.

I chuckled.

"It's still tomorrow but thanks, Uncle! I missed you!" I said and hugged him.

"Aw. We missed you too!" He chuckled and hugged me back.

"Let's go. They're waiting for us." Mom said smiling so I went inside the car.

While we're on our way, a notification suddenly popped up on my phone.

It was a message from Elle!

I opened it right away. She messaged me thru Instagram.

: Hi! Saw ur mom's ig story. You're already here in NYC?

I immediately replied.

: Yes. Hoping to see you around!

After sending, she replied again.

@ellegil_

: Actually, I want to ask you out. I just wanna ask something. Is that okay?

When I read her reply, I felt a little bit nervous. But I said yes.

: Sure. I'll message you later.

I replied and closed my phone.

I sighed. I'm nervous.

She already replied and I just left it on read.

: Okay. See you later!

Should I ask her out? Should I admit that I'm crushing on her?.......
