THE HEALING IN DRAEGO
Sitting at the long table in the grand hall, I could not help but feel out of place. The warm light from the chandeliers above cast a soft glow on everyone's faces, making the whole scene feel ... too perfect. Like something out of a dream. Or a dream that was not meant for someone like me.
Leader Albanus sat at the head of the table, his wife, Glenda, by his side, with their children Cecile, Iris, and the younger Cecile all around them. There was a sense of unity about them, the kind that only comes from family. It was foreign to me, but at the same time, oddly comforting.
Leo, Elias, and Jack were further down the table, but I could feel their presence like an anchor, keeping me grounded. It was strange to be surrounded by people who were all looking at me as if I belonged here like I was one of them. As if I had earned a seat at their table.
