Blood Traitors

Her gaze lingered on his freckled face from across the great hall, her eyes tracing across every feature of his face, from the upturned corners of his devious grin to the small silvery scar that ran through his eyebrow. Sighing and aimlessly stirring her porridge, the metal clinking on the ceramic bowl as she allowed her mind to get engulfed by the prior night when those callused hands had been exploring every inch of her body...

~A Big Slap in the Face~

Straight after dinner Bella headed for the Slytherin dormitories, she hadn't seen Adrien at dinner and needed to vent about her day.

As she walked through the sullen common room she found he wasn't there, the only people to be found were her brother's jeering friends attempting to explode a rather warty toad.

Imbeciles.

Bella headed for the boy's staircase and wandered up them, pushing the door to Adrien's dormitory open and peering inside, he was nowhere to be found.

Making herself at home she swiped a book from his trunk and curled up on his bed. Flicking through the pages her eyes scanned the words and her pink lips murmured what she read under her breath, she was so engulfed in the story but got snapped back into reality when she heard giggles from down the hall.

Closing her book she leaned closer to the door, her hands gripping the iron railing, it was then she made out another voice.

A low chuckle that she knew oh so well, vibrated through her ears as the doorknob turned to reveal Adrien and another girl.

She was gorgeous, there was no denying it, dark long hair and a pair of dark eyes to go with it, the kind that looked like honey, not to mention her blinding smile and her rows of perfectly straight teeth.

Not noticing her yet, Adrien took the girl's face in his hands and pressed his lips to hers, she didn't even have to stand on her tiptoes that's how much taller than Bella she was, she and Adrien fit together like a puzzle.

"Ahem," Bella said, her stomach churning most unpleasantly as he watched Adriens hands travel down to the girl's waist.

They jumped apart and Adrien's mouth dropped open, regret and guilt clear in his expression.

"Wh- Bell- I'm sorry," he croaked, not knowing what to say, his dark eyes welling with tears, "Ok, I don't forgive you, I need to go," she said clearly, her expression unwavering and stony.

She packed away her things quickly and directed her attention to the girl, "He won't make an exception for you," she said softly, "He'll just keep doing this."

In the last sentence, she directed her attention back to Adrien staring him right in the eyes, ignoring the lump in her throat.

"I need to go," she repeated, blinking back tears and walking out, stopped by a hand on her wrist but it wasn't Adrien's.

"I didn't know," the girl said, "I'm so sorry," "I don't blame you," Bella said rather quickly, the lump in her throat rising.

"Belle," Adrien croaked, still trying to process what had just happened, "Don't Belle me, we're done Adrien," she choked out, striding out of the room.

"Fuck," he choked out, collapsing on his bed, his face in his hands, crying for the first time in a long time. He picked up the book she'd been reading on the bed and let out a yell, chucking it across the room so it hit the wall, bouncing down onto the floor.

As soon as Bella entered her dorm she crumpled, sinking to the floor and clawing at her hair, loud sobs escaping her mouth as tears streamed down her face.

Cho immediately rushed towards her, not asking questions just holding Bella in her arms, knowing exactly what happened just by the state of her.

"Hey, hey, it's okay, you're okay love," she cooed, crouching down and cupping Bella's face in her hands, swiping her thumb over the streaks of mascara that ran from her tear ducts.

"He did it again," Bella sobbed, "I know, I know," Cho sighed, drawing the crying girls face close to her chest and stroking her hair, pressing occasional kisses atop her head.

Bella couldn't tell how long they sat there, rocking and embracing on the floor, her tears falling like rain but she looked out the window and saw the star-speckled sky, dark and looming over her.

"I'm gonna get cleaned up," she said quietly, her breath shuddering slightly as she stood up, her legs trembling beneath her.

"Come find me after you're done," Cho said softly, squeezing her friend's hand and watching her wander to the bathroom, pressing her palms into her eyes, bleary from the tears.
