Playing the Cupid

Shen Yue had to spend the night in the foreign room. She was not allowed to leave so she could only stay.

In the foreign atmosphere, she could hardly fall asleep.

Thinking back to what had happened last night...

One minute she was laughing at that handsome man's bizarre words and the other second, she had looked around and found herself alone in the room.

It was as if... he had disappeared... in thin air.

Shen Yue was not a superstitious person. If someone ever told her about a supernatural incident, she would probably laugh it off.

So she was only searching for the logical explanation of the situation.

She spent the night while thinking over the incident of the last night. In the morning, her eyes had bags under them. She sighed, unable to reach a conclusion beside night full of internal debating. "Am I also losing it? Has this 'Gu' family craziness also infected me?"

At that point, she heard a light knock at the door.

She immediately jumped and straightened herself.

If it was that same Gu Yuefang, she must not let him take advantage of her!

That shameless man stole not only her first but her second kiss!

She would safeguard her third kiss with all she had!

However, when the door opened another younger face emerged. "Second Master Gu?"

Gu Yuefeng: 'I did not do anything.' His tone was as if he was being wrongly accused as he defended himself.

Gu Bingwen: 'Brother... Are you sure of that?'

Gu Yuefang: 'I only did what you instructed me to.'

A pause of silence followed in their mind transmission. Gu Bingwen observed Shen Yue's expressions. Looking at him, she was very cautious and like a cat on full alert... protecting her little kittens from a strange old man.

That was the feeling Gu Bingwen got from her stance.

No way you did only what I instructed you to! You must have gone far past that!

However, Gu Bingwen would have the guts to say that loud.

Gu Yuefang: 'Is she alright?' There was a tinge of worry in his tone.

Gu Bingwen sighed. Brother, you are already head over heels over her? Well, this is how things run with your fated one. Vampire kids, especially the pureblood ones would instantly fall into an intense spiral of love once uniting with their fated one.

Gu Bingwen: 'She is! Don't worry brother! I will totally change sister-in-law's mind and get you two on the right track!'

With a charming smile, Gu Bingwen stepped forward. Before he could say anything, Shen Yue beat him to that.

"Second Master Gu, have your brother confirmed that I had nothing to do with that explosion incident?"

"Uh... About that..." Gu Bingwen rubbed his nose.

He had almost forgotten about that incident.

These attacks and assassination attempts were a normal routine for him. As the brother of the heir, he was targetted often. So he had gotten used to them.

What was important that his brother found his fated one!

Gu Bingwen's eyes twinkled as he recalled all the words to say to change Shen Yue's perspective of his brother.
