Some Promises Aren't Kept

I gently shut the door behind me and leaned against it in deep thoughts, I felt hurt and sad for them, what Emilia told me really sink in, I couldn't bear to watch her in pain like this, it shouldn't have to be this way... I know Grayson, I know how he feels and what bothers him, something I haven't told Emilia yet.

I have to find a way to reach him and find out if he's okay and talk with him, I need a phone... Mine was back in town so I have to find one here.

I walked back to Dace's room looking for him but I couldn't see him, was he still in the kitchen? I was about to go down to it when I heard a click from the bathroom, so I automatically walked to it.

"Hey," I said the moment I laid my eyes on him, seeing his features through the mirror as he shaved, the white cream covering his cheekbones and jaws as he run the blade through it swiftly. His eyes connected to mine through the mirror until he spoke.

"How is she?"
