The moment the car came to a recess right at the entrance my nerves skyrocketed and my heartbeat started hopping. Dace's hand immediately gave mine a delicate squeeze and I turned to him trying to settle my breathing, there were no words said between us just the interaction of our gaze but a lot could be said without words. I could read the look he gave me, a look that said we can turn back away from this but I shook my head.
He said nothing as he came down from the car and slammed the door shut, I released a loud exhaled closing my eyes and trying to soothe my nerves, it helped and I was organized a bit, my door opened and Dace stretched out his hand for me to take which I did without opposing and he helps me out.
