Another day in the sect had passed. Aurora had been to her first alchemy class in the morning, but for now, all they learned was theory. The disciples had to reach a certain level of knowledge before they could begin their practical lessons. After that, she modeled for a couple of hours. Her second class of the day was sparring.

But those hours were much less critical to Aurora than what was to come now. She'd been waiting excitedly all day, and it was finally eight in the evening. Elder Kiera was going to personally instruct Aurora in using the sword. Aurora couldn't help but giggle at how lucky she was.

She'd been blessed with a one-in-a-thousand kind of opportunity when Kiera had adopted Aurora into her martial family. Very few people at her level would ever have the chance to be personally taught by an elder in a one-on-one lesson.

"Alright, Aurora. How about you show me what you've learned so far? Give me a good image of your skillset," Kiera said. Aurora nodded firmly and began showing off the basic moves of the sword. She slashed, swiped, and stabbed while smoothly moving in all directions. There was an elegance to her movements, despite how basic it was.

"Your footwork is good as expected, but there are still many improvements to make on your swordplay. You only started yesterday, though, so that isn't a surprise. Mainly, you're a bit too tight in the wrists, and you can certainly try improving the implementation of your footwork into your strikes. Much like when you punch or kick, you want the power of your entire body to be focused on your blade. If you can manage this, the power and speed of your basic strikes will increase greatly," Kiera instructed.

"Let me show you first," she continued before doing the same movements that Aurora had just done. She didn't put any of her cultivation base into it. Yet, her attacks were still much faster, stronger, and smoother than what Aurora could manage. This was all achieved through the use of proper form.

"You see? Come, I'll guide you through the motions slowly. Just trust my hands and let me guide your body," Kiera said.

"Yes," Aurora responded as elder Kiera grabbed her by the hand and thigh. Firmly but slowly, Kiera guided Aurora through all the same movements, forcing proper form into her. Feeling her body going through the correct form helped her get a feel for how she should move.

After a few slow practice runs like that, Aurora began doing it on her own. For the next hour, elder Kiera hammered the very basics of swordplay into Aurora's mind. She used her energy to force the disciple's body into the proper position. Then, when she got the hang of the correct technique, Kiera started pushing down on her with her energy, forcing Aurora to push herself.

With Kiera using her superior cultivation to pressure Aurora, it was almost like moving through a mud pool. In such an environment, Aurora had to focus on moving correctly while using every inch of strength she had.

The two spent several hours practicing, but those few hours were better than an entire month of practicing in a group. This was partly due to Kiera's skill as a swordswoman, and because Aurora was already a decently experienced fighter. In this kind of environment, Aurora's skills could rapidly blossom.

Although, the cost of this skill increase was absolute exhaustion and being drenched in sweat.

"You did very well tonight, Aurora. I think you have some talent in the sword. Now, how about we take a bath together before you go home and sleep," Kiera said.

"Yes, please," Aurora said. Kiera took her younger protégé by the hand and led her towards the bath. They showered together before entering the hot spring. Inside, there were already four naked women, two of which looked to be in their twenties, while others looked like teenagers a bit younger than Aurora.

The two older women were like polar opposites. They both had stunningly beautiful faces, but one had an enormous chest, while the other was petite. The girls were sitting next to each other and looked pretty similar. They were both beautiful but less mature than the older women.

"Oh, you're all here? Aurora, those two are Hana and Marina Han, and those two are their daughters. That one's Miya, and she's Giya," Kiera said, as she pointed at each of the ladies.

"Everyone, this is Aurora, my martial daughter. I hope you won't be bothered by her being here," Kiera said. Kiera was still quite respectful towards the two elders she would soon share a husband with. They were both her seniors and were thus also stronger than her since elder Kiera had only entered the first core of Core Building a few months ago.

"Of course not! We figured you two would be coming here when you were done training, which is why we had the girls come. It's about time we all get introduced. Aurora is your first martial daughter, so she can be considered as part of our family. Our daughters should treat her like a cousin," the slender one, Marina, said.

"That's true. Aurora, you can sit next to the girls," Kiera said as she entered the pool.

"Yes, elder," Aurora responded as she sat next to Giya and Miya.

"Oh my, the three of you together almost look like sisters," Hana said.

"Now that you mention it, all three have blue eyes and black hair. They could definitely pass for sisters," Kiera said. Looking at the two actual sisters, Aurora agreed that they could indeed be confused as three sisters if they were to go out together. They even had somewhat similar facial features.

It wasn't that strange, though, since they all did their hair in a similar style, and all three were young ladies very close to each other in age.

If one didn't know better, Giya and Miya could be confused for twins, despite only being half-sisters.

"Big sister, it's nice to meet you," Giya said as she grabbed Aurora's hand. The girl was very soft-spoken, but her respect for the older girl was very apparent. All three were outer disciples, but Aurora was much stronger, and she'd been taken in by their soon-to-be stepmother. Being the martial child of an elder was an even closer relationship than being a personal disciple. Typically, an elder would only take someone in that they were very fond of, which just showed the impression Aurora had given Kiera, despite having had minimal communication with each other.

"Likewise," Aurora smiled as she grabbed the second sister's hand with her free hand.

Giya and Miya could be said to have an elevated status in the sect since they were the daughters of a great elder. Mura Han was the punishment elder, so he naturally held the title of great elder. In the sect, the highest position was that of the sect master, a position held by a single person. Under him were various great elders and then the normal elders. Disciples and outer elders could hardly be included in the hierarchy. There was also a unique position that could be considered somewhere between great and normal elders: the branch masters, who controlled the many branches of the sect. Of course, there were also core disciples who held such importance to the sect that they were above the other disciples and outer elders. Their ranks were what would make out the future elders, after all.

Giya and Miya were daughters of a great elder, but that was through birth. Being taken in by an elder who was getting married to a great elder was also an impressive feat. Naturally, Giya and Miya felt some respect for this big sister of theirs.

The group of six enjoyed relaxing in the hot waters. Still, after a while, the younger girls kept more to themselves while the elders conversed with each other.

"What was it like growing up in the sect? Your life must have been so different compared to mine," Aurora asked. She was very interested in this topic because this was just such a strange environment to grow up in.

"It wasn't too weird. We grew up just like normal kids. We went to school and played with friends. We were taught to guard our virginities until we could enter the sect, which I suppose is the most different thing about our upbringing. We were quite knowledgeable about the stuff, though, since everyone here does it, and we'd seen it more than a few times," Giya said.

"Really, the weirdest stuff happened after we turned sixteen. Giya is a few months older than me, so when she turned sixteen, she left our house. Suddenly, it was just me with our moms and dad. And now that I've turned sixteen, I'm in a new house with no sister or family. That's a bit weird, after sixteen years of living at home," Miya said.

"I get what you mean. I also left home when I turned sixteen. Although, I moved somewhere several hours away from home, which was hard. I would go home on days off and during winter break, though. But this place is even farther away from home, so I'll only be able to go back next winter," Aurora said. She had to force her smile.

Winter break would begin in October, and it was now late January, so she had the better part of a year before she could visit her family.

"I'm sorry. I should have realized you have it way worse than we do," Miya said, a sad frown on her lips.

"Nothing to be sorry about. We're just talking. I wanna ask, though, how was it to have elder Kiera join you guys? Was it weird?" Aurora asked.

"Dad and Kiera have been a couple since we were little kids, so she's been around most of our lives. She's never been a mother figure to us, though. More like an older sister or aunt," Giya responded.

Several hours passed as Aurora hung out with the women of the Han family. Aurora continued hanging around the sisters after getting out of the hot springs. Only when it was well past midnight did Aurora leave for her home. There had been a connection between the three girls, and it had been quite challenging to part with them. In the end, they'd promised to hang out again soon.

Aurora's first destination after coming home, was the kitchen for a quick snack. At this time of the day, even the servants were asleep, so she had to settle for some cold leftovers. When she left to go to the bedroom, she stumbled on Koren.

"Aurora, you're up late," the man said.

"Yeah, I just got home. I spent the whole evening at elder Kiera's place," Aurora responded, before taking a bite out of her meat bun.

"Say, Aurora, I'm really sorry I posted all those videos without your consent. So please, please can't I come back to the bed? I really want to sleep with you and the girls," Koren asked, a pleading look in his expression.
