11. The Man Came Again

As Ravi walked in to get some fresh air he felt the wind blow against the nape of his neck. Making an uncomfortable feeling wrap tightly, he paused only to turn around and find no one there. Ravi waited to see if the person would show the bridge of his nose. However, nothing happened.

The wind gently caressed the surface of his face, Ravi took a deep breath to fill his lungs and felt the scent he knew so well. Ravi's lips formed a thin line, he was disappointed at Raymond who didn't follow his words.

"Just get out, Raymond!" Ravi ordered in his voice filled with disappointment.

Ravi snorted, his hands shoved into the pockets of his sweatpants as he watched Raymond shyly emerge from hiding behind a tree. Raymond even followed suit barefoot.

"I told you to stay home," said Ravi. He still felt lingering guilt against Raymond for his rude behavior which he didn't mean. Ravi just didn't know what was wrong with him at the time, he just did it like it wasn't part of his brain. However, everything has happened.

Raymond stood up straight, he looked at Ravi with fear pressed against his face and his hands intertwined with each other. "I want to be with Ravi."

Ravi came closer to Raymond and looked into his teary eyes he shouldn't have been so rude to him but with the disappointment of everyone, Ravi didn't even know what to do anymore. Daniel still locked himself in his room even though Ravi hit the wall hard that night. Ravi is extremely worried about what happened to Daniel.

"Raymond I'm just a moment, take a walk around here," Ravi explained in a soft not wanting to scare him even more he put feelings now. Ravi looked around the deserted residential area. He gently tugged Raymond's wrist onto a park bench near them.

"Ravi wants to leave me?" Raymond noticed Ravi's fingers were still tied around Raymond's big wrist. Ravi immediately let go and grabbed his wrist.

"I was just taking a quick walk. Listen Raymond I'm sorry about last night. I didn't want to be rude like that. It just happened, I didn't want to do it, but it felt out of my control." Ravi says but actually, he doesn't want to defend himself under such a pretext.

Raymond frowned after he heard Ravi properly, his sparkling pupils staring at Ravi with pure sincerity. "No Ravi. It was my fault. I couldn't tell Ravi, I made a promise that can't be broken. Sorry, Ravi for disappointing Ravi."

Ravi's heart suddenly felt pinched, how could he blame Raymond after all Raymond was making a promise to someone else that Ravi didn't know who. Ravi just feels messed up. He nodded weakly. "Can we just forget about this?"

Raymond nodded as well, his black hair that glistened in the sun swaying with the movement of his head. Raymond said suddenly. "Daniel will be fine, I promise."

Ravi sighed, he straightened his body to make his seat more comfortable. Honestly, Ravi felt the strong bond that wrapped around his chest was slowly loosening, by only believing in Raymond's promise besides that what else could Ravi do?

"So now you have to go home," asked Ravi turning to Raymond who shook his head. "Why not? I want to be alone, I'll take you home."

"I want to always be with Ravi," he said lightly as if he had said it dozens of times in his life. Raymond also straightened his legs following how Ravi sat beside him. "Ravi wants to leave me alone?"

"No, I was just out for a bit."

"I don't want Ravi to go alone." Raymond's eyes never left Ravi's which made Ravi squirm uncomfortably.

Ravi turned his head away from Raymond, he sighed and rose to his feet. "Okay, let's go home now."

Instantly Ravi was hit by that scent again right on his face, stronger than before. Ravi's knees went limp until he finally sat back down in the chair, panting for breath. He had no idea what was wrong with him when he smelled the fragrance emanating from Raymond's body but why was he reacting like this?

He inhaled as little air as possible. Ravi's cheeks were flushed, not because the sun was shining gently on his skin. However, this happened due to a completely different matter, making his entire body heat up with an unreasonable desire that suddenly appeared.

"Ravi, what happened?" asked Raymond looking at Ravi worriedly, Raymond's hand raised in the air to touch him but he quickly lowered his hand. However, Ravi quickly shook his head, to answer Raymond while clearing his mind.

"Nothing. Just, what's wrong with you?" Ravi asked back a little choked up while brushing a few strands of hair that tickled his face.

Raymond looked at Ravi with his eyes wide in surprise and hastily answered. "What did I do wrong, Ravi?"

Ravi took a deep breath of air as the sweet aroma wafting from Raymond's body became smoother than before, he shook his head and slowly rose to his feet. "Nothing, it's just my mind. We better hurry home."

Raymond also stood by his side, Ravi glanced to find Raymond's agitated behavior. "Ravi was bothered by—"

"No, let's go," Ravi cut in quickly not wanting Raymond to continue, Ravi blushed in embarrassment himself. Then he realized that Raymond had been barefoot all the way here, following Ravi like an inexperienced stalker. "I forgot to buy footwear for traveling."

Raymond walked beside Ravi, his steps short even though Raymond's legs were long and looked strong. He occasionally nudged Ravi's arm almost unintentionally and Ravi felt that stare from time to time during their journey home but when Ravi turned to him Raymond turned his gaze blatantly. "What's wrong Raymond?"

Raymond stopped he looked at Ravi with dilated pupils of a different color, looking like he was caught doing something wrong. However, he answered with a small nod.

Ravi shrugged nonchalantly when they were a few yards away from the yard. Raymond suddenly moved forward in front of him.

"Why are you here?" Ravi shuddered slightly at how different Raymond's tone was, sharp and cold. Ravi peeked from behind Raymond's back and felt his throat tighten when he saw the silver-haired man again, but the wings he had didn't come out from behind his back. The man stomped on the ground steadily, his chin lifted and his narrowed eyes filled with hatred that seemed to seep into his veins.

"I want to see." The man's eyes met Ravi's, he smirked and formed a crooked smile. Raymond growled and would be ready to attack the man at any moment, when Raymond was about to step forward, Ravi pressed his body against Raymond's side and gripped his wrist tightly to prevent anything from happening.

"Go!" Raymond ordered more slowly and suppressed in his deep voice.

The man seemed unfazed by Raymond he instead stepped forward until he was right in front of Raymond. His jaw hardened with a piercing glare and formed a lopsided grin. "Pay attention to your position before kicking me out. You're not inferior to this human, here and there you're just an errand boy or even a pet?"

Raymond looked tensed in Ravi's hand, it quickly ignited his anger how could this man have such bad words. Ravi felt his chest tighten at those words and his eyes became hot.

"Who are you to only come to insult him? You are the one who is lowly with those words of yours. Not that Daniel has warned there is no place for you here even for you to speak," Ravi panted after he finished his sentence, Ravi's face was red with blazing anger though he didn't know for sure what this man had with Raymond and Daniel.

The man turned his gaze to Ravi and with Ravi's anger, he dared to face him. Ravi looked back at the man defiantly.

"How dare you humans talk to me." The man growled, the hands at his sides clenched into fists. "You started dipping yourself into trouble, we'll see what happens."

Raymond still had the full awareness of pulling Ravi behind his back and Ravi didn't like the way Raymond thought he was weak by doing this.

The man chuckled then in an instant his face became a flat mask as he put his focus back on Raymond and nodded his head at Ravi "Is he the one you're going to kill next?"
