chapter 11

Walking along the corridors of the main agency wasn't so hard anymore, no more glares and whispers anymore. Seems like everyone doesn't really hate us anymore.

I was called to the main office aka Ibenashi's headquarters and so here I am standing in front of two big red doors once again, the last I was here was two months ago. I pushed through the doors and entered.

"Jeez guess who's late again, do you ever make it on time?" Phina crossed her arms.

"I guess some things just never change huh." Kyo agreed and Izanami just nodded.

I scratched the back of my head. "Sorry?"

The next moment, I was hit with a stack of papers and let out a soft groan as Ibenashi walk forward to her desk with a thick stack of peperwork.

"I'm assuming Zeke's late again? Should I give you some basic discipline on punctuality?" Her eyes shone evil.

"I'm sorry, it'll never happen again I swear." I waved both my hands in front of me. "So please spare me the lecture."

In a moment, we all giggled.

"Anyways...." Ibenashi slammed the huge stack of papers on the table. "....you ALL are going to school." She smiled.

Phina's eyes gleamed. Kyo groaned and Izanami didn't care. I haven't been to school for two months, honestly I have mixed feelings about returning.

"Don't worry about your image, I have made arrangements to say that all of you were framed and are now deemed innocent." I gulped, sometimes I really wonder where she gets all of this power from. "But I could only clear Zeke's name fully so the rest of you gotta use these identities." She handed the three of them a piece of paper each.

"Shiro Hakuno, a girl who dropped out of school?" Phina read the paper carefully.

"Kazuki Yuuki? A highschool delinquent who got expelled??" Kyo's face contorted.

"Iroha Shindou, a well achieving girl from a wealthy family" Izanami looked impressed with herself.

Phina and Kyo stared at Izanami then stared back at Ibenashi.

"No problems right?" Ibenashi gave another smile.

"YEAH RIGHT, WE HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS HERE MISSY!" Both Phina and Kyo said in unison.

"Why does Zeke get to keep his identity as some hot kendo champ and Izanami get some A star student and I get a dropout?!" "And I get a delinquent?!" They were finishing each other's sentences.

"Then would you rather be on your way to a hundred years in prison." Ibenashi gave another smile but this time with evil eyes.

Both of them shivered and shook their heads furiously.

It wasn't long after that before I was standing in front of my school gates once again, I looked at the sign 'Tamashiro Highschool' , I guess two months is a really long time. I was waiting for the other three so we could walk in together.

Here comes the first one, furiously chewing on a bubble gum, Kyo had one hand in his pocket and the other held onto his phone as his eyes were glued to it. Another followed behind him, her tie loosened and blazer missing, also scrolling through her phone.

"Wow Zeke you sure are early." Kyo finally looked up from his phone. I just stared at him.

"Why're you staring at me like that..." Kyo was clueless.

I took a breath. "Kyo.... DON'T CHEW GUM IN SCHOOL AND WHERE'S YOUR BAG?!"

Kyo looked at his arm. "I swear i had it with me..." Kyo whispered to himself.

I sighed and turned to Phina. "AND YOU, BUTTON UP AND PULL UP YOUR GODDAMN TIE. AND WHERE'S YOUR BLAZER?? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WEAR IT FOR THE FIRST DAY."

"But it's so hot, i'll wear the blazer later." Phina pouted. "Ooohh Iza-chan!" Phina quickly turned away to wave.

I turned to my right to see a tall girl carrying an umbrella, her long dark hair swayed across her body. She's beautiful. Was all I thought. I couldn't help but stare until I noticed a certain something poking out of her waist.

"Izanami.... what is that?" I pointed at it.

"What do you think? Self-defense. I am going to an unknown territory after all." She said it as if carrying a sword to school was normal.

I took a step back. "GEEZ, YA'LL ARE HOPELESS!!"

"Okay students we have a few new faces today please treat them nicely." The teacher introduced

We were separated. Izanami, Phina and I were in this class but Kyo was in another class, of course it wasn't easy explaining things to him but he accepted anyways. Ever since the three of us walked in, all the students were looking at me since i've technically been labelled a criminal and was absent from school for two months and now I'm back saying I was framed. I don't know if their cautious of me or just scared....

"HELLO MY NAME'S PHI-" Phina was excited but stopped mid-sentence which caused a complete awkward silence. "...ahem... I mean Shiro Hakuno, nice to meet you!" Her smile was contagious.

"Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm Iroha Shindou." Izanami was trying her best to sound smart.

"ummm... hello I'm .. Zeke Kira.." I awkwardly said, it's not so easy coming back to a school after you've been branded guilty.

We bowed simultaneously and headed to our seats. Izanami was popular already, must be her beauty and obviously Phina gained some attention too, with her enthusiastic introduction. I awkwardly sat on my seat near the window.

"Hey haven't seen you in a while." I turned towards the voice, it was my kendo teammate, Shinji Okamura.

"Yeah, same here Shinji. How were you?"

"Me?! What about you? You just spent like two months in prison, how are you still fine?!" He almost pounced onto me.

I guess I never thought about it, the 'prison' I went to wasn't really prison- like but I can't reveal that right?

"Trust me, it's was hell. The food was trash, and I barely got any shower or sleep!" I crossed my arms.

"Glad you're back man." Shinji pat my back and smiled.

Yeah I'm glad too.
