Tamara, William and I eat leftover Chinese food that Tamara heated up from her fridge. It's warm and delicious after a stressful night. I watch as William tries to swallow the chewed noodles down his throat, it looks painful.
"Are you alright?" I ask him.
"My throat, it's hard to swallow," he replies.
"Here, drink some warm water." Tamara stands up from her seat to take the teapot off the stove. She pours some water into a mug and hands it to William.
"Thank you," William says.
