Chapter 3: A big misfortune ( updated)

Jassim narrowly dodges the sword strike, but the blade still leaves a small cut on his chest. As he retreats, the side characters surround them from all directions.

Jassar: "Do you really have to make this difficult for me? Just surrender and no one will get hurt."

Jassim waves his left hand from left to right: "No."

'Swoosh' – as he moves his hand, one of the side characters strikes his hand with a sword. Fortunately for Jassim, only the tip of his middle finger is severed.

Jassim, in severe pain: "Aaaaah!" Tears stream down his face.

Jameela, panicking: "Noooooo, Jassim!"

Jassim's Father: "My son!"

Ayan's mother: "Jassim, behind you!"

One of the side characters kicks him, reminiscent of the famous scene from the movie 300.

Jassar, clutching his stomach and laughing with tears in his eyes: "Hahahahahaha! You really are a stupid farmer. Do you think you're in a story where the hero defeats a thousand men with a single blow? How naive. Hahahahaha!" Continuing, "Just surrender before you lose another part of your body or even your life."

Jassim: "I'll let you take my wife over my dead body."

Jassar sighing: "You Southerners are so stubborn. Men, you're wasting my time."

The side characters step back and capture Jassim's companions, forming a circle around Jassim and Jassar.

Jassar: "I really love this part where I get to crush insects like you. Let me show you the difference between someone favored by the world and someone like you, just cattle with no significance except..."

Jassim charges at him, screaming: "Aaaaaaaah!" He swings a punch with all his might, but Jassar easily dodges it, like taking candy from a baby whose mother isn't around.

Jassar sheaths his sword, then says mockingly: "Come on, be brave, my friend. You can protect your woman and become her knight on a white horse." He adds, "Did you know that in biology, we are both classified as men?" Then he stops talking and looks at Jassim disdainfully. "But even if the insect is in human form, it remains an insect." He delivers a hook punch to Jassim's face, sending him flying several meters.

Jassar, disappointed: "I've lost my touch."

Jassim spits blood from his mouth along with some teeth.

Jassar smiling: "No, I haven't lost it. Hahaha!"

He walks over to Jassim, grabs his right leg, and starts throwing him left and right while holding his leg.

Jassim, speaking to himself with tears in his eyes while looking at his family: "I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you."

Jassar throws him aside like a child discarding a toy.

Jassar shouting to his men: "Tie them up and bring the cages. We have a long journey to Breestil."

The side characters tie them up, and one goes to fetch the cages and horses.

Side Character 4 pointing at Jassim lying on the ground: "Boss, what should we do with him?"

Jassar without looking at Jassim, wiping blood from his hands with a cloth: "Bring him along. If he survives, we'll profit from him. If he dies, we'll dump him by the roadside."

Jassar notices Jameela's hateful glare, then smiles: "Do you hate me?"

He turns his gaze to Solomon in her arms, prompting Jameela to hold her baby tighter.

Jassar's smile turns into a scowl as he walks over to Jameela and her baby. He leans down to get a better look at Solomon, prompting Jameela to turn her body away. Jassar grabs her hair and says, "Show me the baby."

Jameela, in pain: "No, leave my baby alone."

Jassar slaps her, then grabs the baby: "I'm not asking you, I'm ordering you."

He lifts the baby and looks into his eyes, then smiles and says: "I'm very lucky. A sorcerer, and not just any sorcerer. From the purity of the mana in his body, he is beloved."

Jameela, worried: "What are you going to do with my baby?"

Jassar, smiling: "All good things. I'll raise him and tell him I'm his father and that his mother died during childbirth."

Jameela, crying: "Please, take everything from me. Take my dignity, but not him."

Jassim's Father, watching what is happening and crying bitterly: "Please, sir, do anything but don't separate Solomon from his mother."

Jassar, looking at the baby: "So your name is Solomon. Solomon, son of Jassar. I like the sound of that."

Side Character 6 laughing: "Congratulations, boss, on having a new son, and also a sorcerer like you."

Side Character 2: "Like father, like son."

Jassar: "Thank you, men. Now let's get back to work. Tie up this whore."

Jassar playing with Solomon's cheek: "Don't worry, little one. I'll find you a wet nurse in one of the nearby villages."

A few hours later...

The sound of a carriage being pulled by horses is carried by the wind, but it is not the expected tranquility because it also carries the sound of Jameela's sobbing.

Sitting on the floor of the cage with her head between her knees, she says in a low voice: "Solomon, Solomon, Sol..."

Jassim's Father sitting helplessly in front of his son: "I'm sorry, my son, for being a useless father."

Ayan's mother trying to console Jameela: "Pray to God, my child, so He may return your baby to you. What you are doing now won't help you."

Jameela, with anguish: "Oh Lord," then she fell silent.

Jassar with some hope: "Finally, she has quieted down. If she wasn't going to be sold for a few gold coins..."

Suddenly, they hear a deafening roar from the sky. Before they know what hit them, Azhadaha (a type of dragon in Persian folklore) descends upon them, smashing one of its front limbs on the horses, crushing them like tomatoes.

Jassar looks at Azhadaha in disbelief, his pupils shrinking. With the last of his willpower, he begins to chant a spell: "O winds of the north and south, gather your power in my hand. O hidden blades of the air, tear the enemy as a storm of swords. In the name of the ancient nature and by the power of the winds, unleash your fury!" He shouts, "Storm of Swords," and a green magic circle appears.

But to no avail, it causes no damage, merely making the dragon turn its long neck towards Jassar, who wets his pants as a natural reaction.

The dragon then swipes its claw at Jassar, skewering him like a shish kebab.

It proceeds to kill the remaining side characters along with Ayan's mother (sorry, she has no importance in the story), then destroys the cage. A golden magic circle appears under Jassim, restoring him to his former state before the calamity.

Azhadaha turns its head towards the crying Solomon, then looks up at the sky and roars. After a bell rings in the place, the dragon leaves.

End of flashback.
