An Old Friend

Sandra asked everyone to go out of the room and wait in the office till she completes her check-up. Though Jason wanted to stay, but he understood that she needs some privacy to complete the examination, so he didn't voice out his mind. Sandra knew from a look at his face what he was thinking about, for she had faced a somewhat similar experience in the past with the then couple, so she just motioned him by her hands towards the door, gesturing that she was about to close it.

Jason remained standing in front of the door for a few minutes before Emily asked him to have a seat, assuring h9im that now that the doctor has arrived Liliana will be fine in no time.

"Mr. Williams, please a have a glass of water, you have been pacing around like that for quite a sometime."

"No, I am okay."

"Sir, at least take a seat"

Voice Mia who was anxious seeing the said man pacing around the room in waiting for the rooms door to be opened. She was already shaken enough to see Liliana fainting, and to add her boss fretting about it, anxiously pacing around in front of her only fueling her agony.

The door opened after sometime and Sandra stepped out of it, closing the doors behind her. She sighed before meeting the eyes of the people standing there anxiously to find of out the results of the examination.

"How is she?"

"Is she okay?"

"Do we need to take her to the hospital?"

She was bombarded with various questions all at once. She inhaled deeply before looking towards Jason, who was really worried and it could be seen easily in his eyes.

"Liliana is okay, no need to worry and let her rest. I have given her a few medicines and injections and as well as done the necessary check-ups. Mr Jason, please follow me, I need to talk about something with you"

She looked at others before looking again at him, nodding and went back to the room. Jason followed her back inside the room only to find Liliana sleeping peacefully on the bed. He went towards her, and sat beside her, caressing her face gently removing the stray strands of hairs that had fallen over her face.

Sandra cleared her throat to gain his attention again.

"Jason, she fainted because…"

"Because of her periods, isn't it?"

"Yes, looks like she hadn't taken her medicines that I had recommended her way back then. She shouldn't be careless like this anymore. You already know about it and also looks like she hadn't had her breakfast properly so she must have fainted out of exhaustion, weakness and pain."

"It must have been hard for you right baby? I am sorry, I promise to take good care of you now that I am here again with you, I won't let any harm come in your way."

Jason said stroking her hairs softly. Now that he was here, she was back in his arms reach, he won't let anything come in their way. He won't repeat the silly mistake he did two years ago and loose her again.

"I need you to change her clothes for her, and bring these medicines for her to feed her after she eats something."

Sandra said forwarding a slip of the medicines he needed to bring. He took a look at the slip before keeping it on table and got up to bring out his shirt and some shorts from the closet in the room along with the medicine box Emily brought before for him.

"I already have them with me. I never forgot the names of these which I always had with me in case of an emergency situation where she would need anything. Even after she left, I still kept these in hope of her coming back to me asking for cuddles, whining that she was in pain or couldn't sleep because of it."

He smiled at the fond memories before putting the clothes back inside the closet, instead taking out a new set of clothes that he bought for her in case of any such situations, knowing very well it was not the correct time or place for the former set of clothes. Also, along the necessities she would need.

"You should stay here in the lounge and wait till she wakes up. She will be delighted to see you here, after all you are her old friend."

Sandra snickered, before getting up to collect her supplies and started packing.

"Just admit it that you are afraid of her. Because once she wakes up, she will cause a havoc in the building."

"Yeah-yeah mock me all you want, but you know how she gets during these days."

"She will literally kill you. Bahahaha."

It had been a while since Liliana had gotten unconscious and was resting in the room. Jason was also sitting right there, on the couch adjacent to the closet. He was reading some documents that he ordered Mia to delivered in the room.

Everyone was surprised to see him cancelling an important meeting just because of Liliana. When he saved Liliana from falling on the ground in the corridor, he was in his way to the conference hall where he had to monitor some ongoing project and today was the day for finalizing the project proposal that had to be submitted.

Never had he done anything like this before. But yet again, he had never done anything like this before, the way he cared for Liliana, how he was treating her, and yet again his expressions and words all were never heard before. And the ones who were most surprised were Emily and Mia who had first hand witnessed all the events from their own eyes.
